Abstract

L'invention concerne une plaque d'obturation pour un obturateur à tiroir à l'ouverture de coulée d'un récipient pour bain métallique, en particulier un convertisseur, ladite plaque comprenant une plaque réfractaire (11) allongée et un revêtement métallique (12) placé sur le tour de cette dernière. La plaque réfractaire (11) comporte une surface de coulissement (14, 15) qui peut être serrée contre la surface de coulissement d'une plaque d'obturation réfractaire avec laquelle elle coopère, ou contre la surface de coulissement (21') d'une garniture d'extrémité réfractaire (21). La plaque réfractaire (11) comporte sur au moins un côté (16, 17, 18, 19) délimitant la surface de coulissement (14, 15), une partie inclinée (26, 28, 29) contenant un angle (α), et faisant partie d'une zone de la plaque réfractaire (11) déplassant du revêtement métallique (12). La plaque d'obturation selon l'invention permet de réduire de manière importante le risque d'endommagement des faces de travail des éléments réfractaires devant être serrées l'une contre l'autre lors de l'introduction de la pression de serrage et/ou pendant le déplacement relatif des éléments réfractaires serrés l'un contre l'autre.
