Claims (16)
- Window or door comprising wings (2) and frames (3) and comprising an espagnolette fitting (5) in which (window or door) this espagnolette fitting (5) is composed of at least two fitting units (8, 9, 10) that couple together in a moveable fashion, wherein the effective overall length of the fitting units (8, 9, 10) can be adjusted to different length dimensions of the wing dimensions (4a, 4b) of the window or door by way of coupling element pairs (15) that can be adjustably engaged with one another in fine steps in mutually overlapping form-locking fashion, wherein such coupling element pairs (15) are provided at least between the facing ends of the espagnolettes (16, 18) of the adjacent fitting units (8, 9, 10), and wherein each of the coupling element pairs (15) is formed by a short coupling element (26) at one espagnolette (18), said short coupling element determining an effective or pre-determined form-locked engagement length (48) and a long coupling element (29) at the other espagnolette (16) tailored according to a possible adjustment length in the adjustment range or application tolerance range (46),
characterised in that the coupling element (29) and/or the associated espagnolette (16) is over-gripped or under-gripped by the espagnolette (18) that comprises the short coupling element (26) determining the form-lock engagement length (48) along the entire application tolerance range (46) at a minimal length dimension within the application tolerance range (46) so that the coupling element (29) remains effective along its entire length (45). - Window or door according to claim 1,

that the espagnolette (16) has a U-shaped cross-section. - Window or door according to claim 2,

that the free U-legs (31) of the U-shaped cross-section point away from the espagnolette (18). - Window or door according to one of the claims 1 to 3,
characterised in
that the coupling element is formed by a fine toothing (29) that is attached to the espagnolette (16) at the longitudinal side edges (28) of an elongated hole (27). - Window or door according to claim 4,
characterised in
that the longitudinal side edges (28) of the elongated hole (27) run in alignment with the U-legs (31) of the espagnolette (16). - Window or door according to claim 5,
characterised in
that the fine toothing (29) is moulded to the insides (30) of the U-legs (31) of the espagnolette (16). - Window or door according to one of the claims 6,
characterised in
that the fine toothings (26, 29) consist of meshing mushroom-shaped teeth (29', 29") so that the fine toothings (26, 29) act in a form-locking fashion in two planes. - Window or door according to one of the claims 1 or 7,
characterised in
that the espagnolette (16) is allocated to a fitting unit (10) which has a housing (36), wherein the housing (36) has an essentially U-shaped cross-section. - Window or door according to claim 8,
characterised in
that the free U-legs (40) of the housing (36) run vertically to the wing rebate surface (6) and that the U-legs (40) form a guide for the espagnolette (16). - Window or door according to claim 7 or 9,
characterised in
that the bar (38) which connects the U-legs (40) of the housing (36) is allocated to the groove base (32) of the fitting groove (33). - Window or door according to claim 8 or 10,
characterised in
that, at the housing (36), in the corner area (61), a cover (62) is provided at the housing (36) which covers the area located between the U-legs. - Window or door according to claim 11,
characterised in
that the cover (62) has an opening (65) that extends along the rebate peripheral surface (6), said opening forming a guide (63) for a track (64) that, along the opening (65), displaceably forms a cover of the housing (36). - Window or door according to claim 12,
characterised in
that the opening (65) is attached at the level of the free ends (67) of the U-legs (40) of the housing (36). - Window or door according to claim 12 or 13,

that the opening (65) and the track (64) have matching T-shaped cross-sections. - Window or door according to one of the claims 12 or 14,

that the track (64) is provided with markings (69) that enable a length reduction and that the markings (69) are designed as predetermined break points (70). - Window or door according to claim 12 to 15,

that the fitting unit (8) has a fore-end track (60) covering the espagnolette (18), said fore-end track having a bore (75) near the end (74) that faces the second fitting unit (10), wherein the fore-end track (60) rises above the espagnolette (18) in a central position of the espagnolette (18) by more than half the stroke length of the espagnolette (18) and wherein a fastener goes through the bore (75) and the elongated hole (27) in the espagnolette (16).
