Definitions
- the present invention relates to a noise pollution reduction device and an installation comprising at least one copy of this device.
- Noise pollution is not only unwanted noise which it is desirable to reduce the sound volume, especially when it is not possible to extinguish what generates them.
- Noise pollution includes everything that affects the audibility of a sound message. For example, part of a sound signal emitted in a room is reflected inwards by the walls of this room, where it adds to the original sound signal and degrades intelligibility.
- noise barriers to protect the environment from a sound source.
- noise barriers are found along portions of traffic lanes and around noisy installations.
- the current noise barriers are generally designed to mainly reflect the sound waves, so that the reduction of noise on one side of a sound barrier usually results in an increase in noise on the side where the sound is located. noise source.
- acoustic panels covering at least locally the walls delimiting these spaces, which can notably be cinemas, rooms, recording studios and halls. of meeting.
- the acoustic panels employed generally comprise one or more thicknesses of a porous material, which can for example, having the form of a layer of bonded fibers and in which the medium and high frequency sound waves are well attenuated by absorption.
- Such panels do not allow to satisfactorily attenuate sounds in the low frequencies, except to have a very large thickness, of the order of more than one meter, which is unacceptable in many applications.
- acoustic panels are arranged in front of a wall to which they are connected so as to be elastically supported.
- specific support devices are arranged between the acoustic panels and the wall.
- Each of them comprises an elastic member by which part of the weight of the acoustic panel is transmitted to the wall.
- This elastic member must be dimensioned so as to support a portion of the weight of an acoustic panel. This leads to choosing a high stiffness of the elastic member, which does not allow to obtain a satisfactory attenuation of sound waves in the low frequencies.
- the invention aims at least to improve the reduction of noise pollution, especially in the low frequencies.
- a noise pollution reduction device comprising an acoustic panel and at least one member for supporting this panel in an elastic manner, this support member comprising first and second mounting means for its installation between a support and the acoustic panel, and a spring portion located between the first and second mounting means.
- the device for reducing noise pollution is characterized in that said support member comprises a lug whose one end is connected to the second mounting means and which, at a distance from this end, carries the first mounting means such that a moving the acoustic panel perpendicular to its main faces is allowed by an elastic deformation of the spring portion in the direction of a tilting of the tab relative to the second mounting means.
- the leg of the support member or of each support member acts in the manner of a lever arm making the spring portion of this torsion support member work around at least an axis with respect to which the moment of the weight of the acoustic panel is low or even zero.
- the stiffness of the spring portion can be sized primarily taking into account acoustic considerations, and not the load that the support member is intended to carry. More precisely, this stiffness may be sufficiently small so that the acoustic panel can easily vibrate horizontally, in particular perpendicular to its main faces, although it is correctly supported vertically.
- leg of the support member increases the torque that a horizontal force acting on the panel produces on the spring portion of the support member.
- the invention also relates to an installation comprising a support, characterized in that it comprises a device as defined above, whose acoustic panel is mounted on the support so as to be substantially vertical, particularly via at least one copy of the support member.
- FIG. 1 On the figure 1 is represented an acoustic panel 1 supported substantially vertically, in front of a wall 2, by three identical members 3 with which this acoustic panel 1 forms a device 4 for reducing noise pollution.
- the organs 3 are simple and inexpensive to manufacture. One of them is represented alone Figures 2 and 3 . It is made from a spring-loaded metal wire, which is shaped to have four portions extending one to the other, namely a portion forming a mounting lug of the member 3 on the wall 2, a portion forming a helical spring 6, a portion forming a suspension lug 7 and a portion forming a hook 8 hooking the panel 1 by an edge.
- the spring 6 connects the lug 5 to one end 7A of the suspension lug 7, whose other end 7B is provided with the hook 8.
- the lug 5 At a distance from the spring 6, the lug 5 comprises a closed loop 9, which delimits a passage 10 for the rod of a fastener such as the screw referenced 11 to the figure 4 .
- the suspension lug 7 is oblique, that is to say inclined relative to the vertical and the horizontal.
- This tab 7 and the hook 8 extend in a vertical plane P, which is substantially perpendicular to an axis X 1 -X ' 1 of the spring 6.
- the hook 8 is curved about an axis X 2 -X' 2 substantially parallel to this axis X 1 -X ' 1 .
- the suspension lug 7 is angularly offset from the lug 5, about an axis parallel to the axis X 1 -X ' 1 , of an angle which is referenced ⁇ to the figure 4 and which is less than 45 °.
- the suspension lug 7 can be tilted relative to the lug 5, in the plane P, downwards and upwards, that is to say in the direction of an increase or a reduction of the angle ⁇ , by means of an elastic deformation of the spring 6, which symbolizes the opposite arrows F 1 to the figure 2 .
- This deformation is effected in the direction of a rotation of the two opposite ends of the spring 6 relative to each other, about the axis X 1 -X ' 1 .
- the spring 6 can also easily deform in the direction of an angular displacement of its two ends relative to each other about an axis orthogonal to the axis X 1 -X ' 1 . This allows a lateral tilting F 2 of the suspension lug 7 away from the vertical plane P, in a plane parallel to the axis X 1 -X ' 1 , with respect to the lug 5.
- the acoustic panel 1 comprises two porous and fibrous layers, namely a layer 12 of glass fiber composite bonded by a binder and a layer 13 of wadding covering a main face of the layer 12.
- the organs 3 of the device 4 are divided into an upper organ and two lower organs, one of which is visible at the figure 4 .
- Each member 3 is fixed rigidly to the wall 2, without the possibility of tilting, by a screw 11 whose head clamps its loop 9 against this wall 2.
- the panel 1 is supported by the lower members 3, on the hooks 8 of which rests a lower edge of the layer 12. An upper edge of this layer 12 is attached to the hook 8 of the upper member 3, which is returned for this purpose , relative to the lower organs 3.
- the axes X 1 -X ' 1 of the springs 6 are substantially horizontal and parallel to the panel 1 and the wall 2. It is the same axis X 2 -X' 2 .
- the rear main face 14A of the panel 1 is turned towards the wall 2, from which it is separated by an air knife 15.
- the moment of the weight of the panel 1 relative to the axes X 1 -X ' 1 of these springs 6 is low.
- the weight of the panel 1 can therefore intervene only to a small extent in the sizing of the springs 6, whose stiffness can be low, in order to facilitate horizontal vibrations of the panel 1.
- the panel 1 can vibrate perpendicular to its main faces 14A and 14B, as illustrated by the figure 4 where the arrow D symbolizes a displacement of the panel 1 towards the wall 2.
- This displacement D is accompanied by a tilting B of each lug 7 towards the wall 2, about an axis X 1 -X ' 1 , and of a pivoting R of the panel 1 with respect to each tab 7, in each hook 8, around each axis X 2 -X ' 2 .
- the panel 1 When it vibrates perpendicular to its main faces 14A and 14B, the panel 1 also moves in the opposite direction to that of the arrow D, in which the device 4 behaves in the same manner as described above, but in the opposite direction.
- the panel 1 can also vibrate parallel to its main faces 14A and 14B, in the direction of the double arrow V of the figure 1 , thanks to the ability of the legs 7 to tilt laterally.
- each reference 20 designates a frame receiving a window or a door.
- These premises comprise two adjoining rooms 21 and 22, separated from each other by a common partition 23.
- a sound source 24 is disposed in the room 21, a wall 25 of which is provided with a first pair of devices 4.
- the partition 23 carries a second pair of devices 4 placed in the room 21, facing the first pair of devices 4.
- the panels 1 of the devices 4 present in the room 21 together cover an area of about 2.25 m 2 , ie 19% of the total surface of the envelope delimiting the interior volume of the part 21.
- Measurements were made simultaneously in the room 21 and in the room 22, by means of a microphone 26 placed between the two pairs of devices 4 and a microphone 27 disposed in the room 22, near the partition 23.
- the same measurements, for the same sound produced by the sound source 24, were made in the absence of the devices 4 in the part 21 and also in the case where each of these devices 4 is replaced by a panel 1 fixed by spacers. having the shape of foam blocks.
- the devices 4 reduce the sound volume both in the room 21 and in the room 22.
- the noise reduction in the two rooms 21 and 22 is the result of an effective absorption of a room. much of the energy of the sound waves by the devices 4. It has been found that this absorption is effected as well in the low frequencies as in the medium and high frequencies, which is illustrated by a comparison of the curves of the Figure 5A and a comparison of the curves of the Figure 5B .
- the curve A21 was plotted from the measurements of the sound level in the part 21 equipped with the four devices 4 arranged according to the configuration of the figure 5 , while the curve S21 has been drawn from the measurements of the sound level in the same room 21 in the absence of the devices 4 or any other acoustic panel.
- the curve A22 was plotted from the measurements of the sound level in the room 22 in the presence of the four devices 4 arranged in the room 21, according to the configuration of the figure 5 while the curve S22 has been drawn from the measurements of the sound level in the same room 22 in the absence of the devices 4 or any other acoustic panel in the room 21.
- the sound source 24 produced the same sound when the measurements used to draw the curves A21 and A22 were carried out simultaneously and when the measurements used to draw the curves S21 and S22 were carried out simultaneously.
- the stationary wave rate in the part 21 has been reduced in the presence of the devices 4, which results in an increase in the homogeneity of the acoustic field, this homogeneity being important especially in the case of a musical listening .
- FIG. 6 there is shown another device 104 for reducing noise pollution.
- another device 104 for reducing noise pollution.
- a reference used hereafter to designate a part of the device 104 similar or equivalent to a referenced part of the device 4 is constructed by adding 100 to the device. reference designating this part in the device 4.
- the acoustic panel 101 is a sandwich panel having two layers 113, which may be made of wadding or other material and between which is the layer of fiberglass composite 112. This panel 101 is mounted via two pairs of members 103, in an opening 30 delimited by a frame-shaped support 102.
- the frame 102 comprises two uprights each of which carries a pair of members 103 arranged along a lateral edge of the panel 101.
- each member 103 comprises a pair of inverted bends 31 and 32 which offset a hook 108 inwardly relative to the spring 106 forming part of the same member 103 as the hook 108.
- the two members 103 on the same side of the panel 101 differ from each other in that the elbows 31 and 32 of one are reversed relative to the elbows 31 and 32 of the other.
- each tab 107 comprises another pair of inverted elbows 33 and 34, which curve in the plane of the figure 7 and thanks to which the hook 108 of an organ 103 is in the extension of the tab 105 of this member 103.
- FIG 8 On the figure 8 is represented a room in which are installed several horizontal rows and adjoining devices 204 for reducing noise pollution. These devices 204 are carried by a wall 202 of the room. Similar to each other, they are according to a third embodiment of the invention. In what follows, only what distinguishes them from a device 4 is described. In addition, a reference used to designate a part of a device 204 similar or equivalent to a referenced part of the device 4 is constructed by adding two hundred to the reference identifying this part in the device 4.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a noise pollution reduction device and an installation comprising at least one copy of this device.
Noise pollution is not only unwanted noise which it is desirable to reduce the sound volume, especially when it is not possible to extinguish what generates them. Noise pollution includes everything that affects the audibility of a sound message. For example, part of a sound signal emitted in a room is reflected inwards by the walls of this room, where it adds to the original sound signal and degrades intelligibility.
For the record, it is recalled that the energy of a sound wave meeting a wall is partly reflected by this wall, partly transmitted through the wall and partly absorbed in the wall, that is to say dissipated by friction , in heat.
The use of walls or noise barriers to protect the environment from a sound source is now commonplace. For example, such noise barriers are found along portions of traffic lanes and around noisy installations. The current noise barriers are generally designed to mainly reflect the sound waves, so that the reduction of noise on one side of a sound barrier usually results in an increase in noise on the side where the sound is located. noise source.
Furthermore, it is known to improve the acoustic comfort of spaces by means of acoustic panels covering at least locally the walls delimiting these spaces, which can notably be cinemas, rooms, recording studios and halls. of meeting. The acoustic panels employed generally comprise one or more thicknesses of a porous material, which can for example, having the form of a layer of bonded fibers and in which the medium and high frequency sound waves are well attenuated by absorption. Such panels, however, do not allow to satisfactorily attenuate sounds in the low frequencies, except to have a very large thickness, of the order of more than one meter, which is unacceptable in many applications.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by means of a noise pollution reduction device, comprising an acoustic panel and at least one member for supporting this panel in an elastic manner, this support member comprising first and second mounting means for its installation between a support and the acoustic panel, and a spring portion located between the first and second mounting means. The device for reducing noise pollution is characterized in that said support member comprises a lug whose one end is connected to the second mounting means and which, at a distance from this end, carries the first mounting means such that a moving the acoustic panel perpendicular to its main faces is allowed by an elastic deformation of the spring portion in the direction of a tilting of the tab relative to the second mounting means.
During horizontal vibrations of the acoustic panel, the leg of the support member or of each support member acts in the manner of a lever arm making the spring portion of this torsion support member work around at least an axis with respect to which the moment of the weight of the acoustic panel is low or even zero. As a result, the stiffness of the spring portion can be sized primarily taking into account acoustic considerations, and not the load that the support member is intended to carry. More precisely, this stiffness may be sufficiently small so that the acoustic panel can easily vibrate horizontally, in particular perpendicular to its main faces, although it is correctly supported vertically.
In addition, the leg of the support member increases the torque that a horizontal force acting on the panel produces on the spring portion of the support member.
- la partie ressort comprend un ressort hélicoïdal reliant la patte aux deuxièmes moyens de montage ;
- le ressort comprend plusieurs spires non jointives ;
- ladite patte est sensiblement orthogonale à un axe du ressort ;
- l'organe de support comprend un fil métallique mis en forme de manière à comprendre au moins deux portions se prolongeant mutuellement, à savoir une portion formant ledit ressort et une portion formant ladite patte ;
- le fil métallique de l'organe de support comporte une portion limitant ledit basculement de la patte au moins dans un sens, en formant une butée pour cette patte ;
- lesdits premiers moyens de montage sont prévus pour former une liaison autorisant un pivotement autour d'un axe de pivotement sensiblement parallèle au panneau acoustique ;
- lesdits premiers moyens de montage comportent un crochet recourbé autour dudit axe de pivotement ;
- lesdits deuxièmes moyens de montage sont prévus pour former une liaison sans possibilité de basculement de l'organe de support autour d'un axe parallèle audit axe de pivotement ;
- the spring portion comprises a coil spring connecting the tab to the second mounting means;
- the spring comprises several non-contiguous turns;
- said tab is substantially orthogonal to an axis of the spring;
- the support member comprises a metal wire shaped to comprise at least two mutually extending portions, namely a portion forming said spring and a portion forming said tab;
- the wire of the support member comprises a portion limiting said tilting of the tab at least in one direction, forming a stop for this tab;
- said first mounting means are provided to form a link allowing pivoting about a pivot axis substantially parallel to the acoustic panel;
- said first mounting means comprises a hook bent around said pivot axis;
- said second mounting means are provided to form a link without the possibility of tilting of the support member about an axis parallel to said pivot axis;
- said second mounting means comprise a rigid loop defining a passage for a clamping member of this loop against a surface.
The invention also relates to an installation comprising a support, characterized in that it comprises a device as defined above, whose acoustic panel is mounted on the support so as to be substantially vertical, particularly via at least one copy of the support member.
- une face principale du panneau acoustique est tournée vers une paroi du support et séparée de cette paroi par une lame d'air ;
- les premiers moyens de montage se trouvent à une extrémité inférieure de ladite patte de manière que cette patte soit essentiellement sollicitée longitudinalement par le poids du panneau acoustique ;
- le ressort comporte un axe sensiblement horizontal ;
- la déformation élastique autorisant un déplacement du panneau acoustique perpendiculairement à ses faces principales s'effectue dans le sens d'une rotation de première et deuxième extrémités du ressort l'une par rapport à l'autre, autour d'un axe de ce ressort ;
- a main face of the acoustic panel is turned towards a wall of the support and separated from this wall by an air gap;
- the first mounting means are at a lower end of said tab so that this tab is essentially biased longitudinally by the weight of the acoustic panel;

In addition, the stationary wave rate in the
