In Figur 1 ist von einer Vorrichtung 1 zum Auftragen eines Beschichtungsmediums auf zumindest eine Teiloberfläche, in dem vorliegenden Fall jedoch auf der gesamten Oberfläche eines langgestreckten und in seiner Längsrichtung gemäß dem Pfeil 8 transportierten Werkstückes 2 nur die Beschichtungskammer 5 dargestellt, die an . Beschichtungskammer 5 weist eine Einlass- 6 und eine Auslassmatrize 7 auf, deren Querschnitt dem Querschnitt des Werkstückes 2 entspricht, wobei der Querschnitt der Matrizen jedoch geringfügig größer ist, so dass sich ein Spalt 9 vorgegebener Größe ergibt. Über den Spalt wird aufgrund des Vakuums in der Auftragskammer 5 Luft von außen angesaugt. In der Beschichtungskammer 5 befindet sich mit Abstand von der Einlaufmatrize 6 und der Auslaufmatrize 7 eine Führungsvorrichtung 4, die einen lagegenauen Transport des Werkstückes sicherstellt. Die Führungsvorrichtung ist konisch ausgeführt; d.h. ihr Querschnitt verjüngt sich rechts nach links. Im linken Bereich entspricht die Kontur des Querschnitts der Führungsvorrichtung der Kontur des Querschnitts des Werkstückes, ist jedoch geringfügig größer, so dass sich zwischen der Führungsvorrichtung und dem Werkstück ein Spalt von ca. 0,5 mm einstellt. Wie später noch erläutert wird, muss die Kontur der Führungsvorrichtung und/oder der Beschichtungsvorrichtung nicht der ursprünglichen Kontur des Werkstückes entsprechen, weil mit der Beschichtungs- und/oder der Führungsvorrichtung die Kontur des Werkstückes reversibel verändert werden kann. In diese Führungsvorrichtung 3 ist ein Kanal 15, der über eine in dieser Figur nicht dargestellte Leitung mit dem Beschichtungsmedium 18, beispielsweise Lack oder Klebstoff beaufschlagt wird. Von diesem Kanal 15 führt eine sogenannte Flachdüse 3, die von dem Kanal und dem Abdeckblech 10 gebildet wird, nach außen auf das Werkstück 2. Über diese Flachdüse 4 wird nun das Beschichtungsmedium auf den gesamten Umfang des langgestreckten Werkstückes 2 aufgesprüht. Dadurch, dass der Auftrag des Beschichtungsmediums, bezogen auf die Transportrichtung des Werkstückes, hinter der Führungsvorrichtung erfolgt, wird die Beschichtung von der Führungsvorrichtung nicht beschädigt. Durch die über den Spalt 9 eingesaugte Luft wird überschüssiges Beschichtungsmedium von dem Luftstrom mitgerissen und dadurch von dem Werkstück 2 entfernt und/oder besser auf diesem verteilt. Zum Beschichten werden die Hälften wieder zusammengeschoben und dabei das Werkstück vorzugsweise eingefädelt, wobei die Beschichtung vorzugsweise erst dann beginnt, wenn dass Werkstück eingefädelt ist. Die beiden Hälften der Beschichtungs- 3 bzw. die Führungsvorrichtung 4 können jedoch auch gemeinsam verschoben werden. In dem vorliegenden Fall ist die Kontur der Beschichtungs- 3 bzw. die Führungsvorrichtung 4 so gestaltet, dass zwei Werkstücke gleichzeitig beschichtet werden können.
