Description

  • La présente invention vise la réalisation d'un gilet pare-balles.
  • L'un des buts de la présente invention est de réaliser un gilet pare-balles qui soit léger, permette d'arrêter les balles en limitant le plus possible la déformation de la partie située contre le corps pour éviter tout traumatisme de celui-ci.
    Un gilet pare-balles de l'art antérieur est décrit au US-A-5196252 .
    Le gilet pare-balles, selon l'invention, est tel que défini à la revendication 1, des perfectionnements et modes de réalisations avantageux étant définis aux sous-revendications.
  • De préférence, le gilet comprend entre dix et quinze premiers panneaux et entre trois et cinq seconds panneaux.
  • L'invention va maintenant être décrite avec plus de détails en se référant à un mode de réalisation particulier donné à titre d'exemples seulement et représenté aux dessins annexés.
  • Figure 1 est une vue en perspective montrant les différentes épaisseurs entrant dans la réalisation du gilet pare-balles.
  • Figure 2 montre l'ensemble des épaisseurs reliées ensemble.
    Bien entendu, les différentes épaisseurs entrant dans le gilet, selon l'invention, sont logées dans des poches de celui-ci de manière à protéger la poitrine, le dos et éventuellement d'autres parties du corps. Un tel gilet est bien connu et n'est pas représenté ici.
  • Conformément à l'invention, le gilet comporte, du côté tourné vers l'extérieur, une série de plusieurs premiers panneaux 1 comprenant, un tissu constitué de plis de fibres aramides (notamment 4 plis), de préférence unidirectionnelles, de préférence s'entre-crossant à 0/90°, le tissu étant pris en sandwich dans un film de matière thermoplastique.
  • Le poids du tissu est notamment compris entre 200 g/m2 et 300 g/m2, par exemple 242 g/m2. Son épaisseur est comprise entre 0,15 et 0,4 mm, par exemple 0,3 mm.
  • Les premiers panneaux 1 peuvent être notamment au nombre de 8 à 15. Un tel matériau est connu sous la marque Goldflex.
  • Du côté tourné vers le corps, le gilet est pourvu d'une série de seconds panneaux 2, par exemple quatre, qui sont chacun formés d'un tissu de fibres d'aramides de préférence unidirectionnelles noyées dans un film thermoplastique et qui comportent chacune des fils de renforcement ou de maintien 3 qui forment une série de lignes de couture, ou piqûres, parallèles. Chaque fil 3 est piqué dans un panneau 2 donné pour former la ligne de renforcement. Le fil passe alternativement d'un côté du panneau 2 et de l'autre, et de préférence est en contact alternativement avec une face du panneau 2 et avec sa face opposée. Un fil donné n'est piqué qu'à travers un seul panneau 2 correspondant. En particulier il ne sert pas à lier entre eux deux seconds panneaux voisins. Le fil ou les fils de maintien 3 sont en PES, ayant un titre dTex compris entre 80 et 130, par exemple 110 f36. Le matériau du tissu du ou des seconds panneaux est en particulier du TWARON 2000, 1100dTex f1000, ayant une densité de 13,9 et un poids de 480 g/m2 (+- 10g/m2). Chaque second panneau a un poids total compris entre 400 et 600 g/m2, par exemple de 495 g/m2 (+-14g/m2) et une épaisseur comprise entre 0,30 et 0,50 mm, par exemple de 0,45 mm (+-0,05). Ce matériau est notamment connu sous la marque KYTEX, type ARTEX C1R3S4.
  • Chaque panneau comporte au moins un fil de renforcement, de préférence au moins deux fils, par centimètre de largeur des panneaux. La largeur du panneau est la dimension du panneau dans la direction s'étendant le long de la taille du porteur du gilet ou direction horizontale, et sa hauteur est la dimension dans la direction verticale, à l'état porté du gilet. Les fils ou lignes de couture ou piqûre, sont de préférence verticale. Elles sont séparés par un intervalle ayant une dimension, mesurée dans une direction perpendiculaire aux lignes, et notamment dans une direction horizontale, comprise entre 3 et 10 mm, de préférence entre 4 et 6 mm, et plus préférablement environ 5mm. Ainsi pour un panneau ayant une hauteur de environ 46,5 cm pour une largeur d'environ 53 cm, il y a 106 lignes de couture.
  • L'ensemble de ces panneaux est cousu le long de deux bords opposés par des fils para aramides craqués 4 qui présentent une bonne résistance mécanique et un très faible allongement à la rupture. On peut aussi prévoir à la place de fixer les panneaux les uns aux autres par du ruban collant, communément appelé scotch. IL convient de bien faire la différence entre les fils 4 et les fils 3 de renforcement. Ces derniers n'ont pas pour fonction de fixer entre eux plusieurs panneaux.
  • D'après les essais effectués, on a pu constater que l'ensemble des panneaux 1 permettait d'arrêter des munitions en multi-impact et sur des tirs avec incidence.
  • L'ensemble des seconds panneaux, grâce aux lignes de couture ou piqûre de renforcement, permet de répartir le choc sur toute la surface et d'éviter un traumatisme sur le corps lors de l'impact des balles, la déformation de ces panneaux étant, lors dudit impact des balles, de l'ordre de 25 mm.
  • Aucun des premiers panneaux ne comporte de ligne de couture, ou piqûres, hormis les lignes de coutures destinées à fixer ensemble l'ensemble des panneaux. Cette absence de ligne de couture les différencie des seconds panneaux.
  • Grâce à cette disposition, on peut réaliser un gilet très efficace et d'un faible poids.

Claims (6)

  1. Gilet pare-balles, comprenant une pile de panneaux en tissu d'aramide, comportant au moins un premier panneau du côté extérieur, de préférence une pluralité de premiers panneaux, et une pluralité de seconds panneaux du côté du corps, tel que
    - chaque second panneau est formé d'un tissu de fibres d'aramides noyées dans un film thermoplastique,
    - chaque second panneau comporte au moins un fil (3) de renforcement, de préférence une pluralité de fils de renforcement, le fil ou chaque fil de renforcement étant piqué pour passer alternativement d'un côté et de l'autre de chaque second panneau, sans passer à travers ledit au moins un premier panneau,
    le ou les fils (3) d'un second panneau donné de la pluralité de seconds panneaux ne passe pas à travers les autres seconds panneaux ; et
    chaque premier panneau comprend un tissu constitué de plis de fibres aramides, notamment quatre plis, pris en sandwich dans un film de matière thermoplastique.
  2. Gilet pare-balles suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend entre 10 et 15 premiers panneaux et entre 3 et 5 seconds panneaux.
  3. Gilet pare-balles suivant l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que les fils de renforcement de chaque second panneau sont parallèles entre eux.
  4. Gilet pare-balles suivant la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que les fils (3) de renforcement sont verticaux.
  5. Gilet pare-balles suivant l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que chaque deuxième panneau comporte au moins une ligne de couture par centimètre de largeur du panneau, de préférence au moins deux lignes.
  6. Gilet pare-balles suivant l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que l'ensemble des premiers et deuxièmes panneaux sont fixés les uns aux autres par couture, le lond de deux bords opposés notamment le long des deux bords longitudinaux de l'ensemble.
