- Side gusset bag having a bottom (12) and bag walls extending upwards from the latter and comprising a front wall (14), a rear wall (24) and two side walls (16, 26), made of a flexible film-like bag material, the bag walls forming a tube, the tube having a longitudinal sealing seam which seals face to face of the bag material and being closed in the region of the bottom (12) by a lower transverse sealing seam (36) which seals face to face of the bag material and at the other end by an upper transverse sealing seam (38) which seals face to face of the bag material, the side walls (16, 26) of the bag being shaped at least in the region of the transverse sealing seams (36, 38) into side gussets with an inwardly directed folding edge (18, 28) which divides the side walls (16, 26) of the bag into two side gusset halves (20, 22; 30, 32) each,
the longitudinal sealing seam (34) being arranged in a side wall (16) of the bag and an opening tab (40) being sealed into the longitudinal sealing seam (34) in the region of the upper transverse sealing seam (38), in which, in the upper transverse sealing seam (38), the side gusset halves (20, 22) which are sealed against the inner side of the front wall (14) and rear wall (24) of the bag can be peeled off the front wall (14) and rear wall (24) of the bag by pulling on the opening tab (40), forming a pour opening (42). - Side gusset bag according to claim 1, characterised in that the bag material is coated with a sealing layer on the inner side of the bag.
- Side gusset bag according to either of claims 1 to 2, characterised in that the sealing layer is made of a polyolefin-based plastic, for example polyethylene or polypropylene.
- Side gusset bag according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the bag material comprises a plastic film made of polyester, polyamide or oriented polypropylene, in particular as a laminate in combination with further plastic films, metal foils such as aluminium foils, or paper.
- Side gusset bag according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the bag material consists of a plastic film, printed if occasion arises, made of polyester, polyamide or oriented polypropylene, in particular as a laminate in combination with further plastic films, metal foils such as aluminium foils, or paper, with a sealing layer made of a polyolefin-based plastic, for example polyethylene or polypropylene.
