Im Tintentank herrscht normaler Luftdruck. Nach dem Einsetzen der Tintenpatrone drückt die dünne, lange Fiber fest gegen die Düse des Druckkopfs. Währenddessen sind die Austrittsöffnung der Patrone und der Druckkopf dicht verschlossen. Wenn der Druckvorgang beginnt, versorgt die dünne und lange Fiber den Druckkopf gleichmäßig mit Tinte. Die Tinte konnte aus dem Tintentank durch das nach Art eines Labyrinths verlaufende Kapillarröhrchen infolge des Drucks, der auch die richtige Menge an Tinte innerhalb der Fiber garantiert, in die Fiber gelangen. Wie aus der Zeichnung zu erkennen ist, weist die Tintenpatrone als für die Erfindung wichtige Komponenten einen Hebel 1,einen Tintenbehälter oder Tintentank 2, ein Kapillarröhrchen 3, das nach Art eines Labyrinths verläuft, eine dünne und lange Fiber 4, eine obere Abdeckung 5, eine Austrittsöffnung 6, eine Anordnung 7, die gegen das Lecken der Tinte sichert, ein Luft-Labyrinth 8 und eine Tinten-Füllöffnung 9 in Form einer Düse 9 am Druckkopf auf. Bevor die Tintenpatrone in den Drucker eingesetetzt wird, muß das Luft-Labyrinth 8 geöffnet werden. Die Luft strömt dann in den Tintentank 2, und zwar durch die Anordnung 7, die gegen das Lecken von Tinte absichert, und auch einen normalen Luftdruck im Tintentank 2 aufrechterhält. Claims (6)
- Ink cartridge for an ink-jet printer, including an ink supply system, consisting of a thin and long fibre (4) around the ink outlet opening (6) and an ink reservoir (2) which, when inserted in a holder of a printer, has an upper cover (5), characterised in that it furthermore comprises a small capillary tube (3) executed in the manner of a labyrinth, wherein the small capillary tube executed in the manner of a labyrinth is designed so that, under an air pressure, ink is conveyed from an initial section of the small capillary tube located at the lowest point of the ink reservoir inserted into the holder of the printer, through the small capillary tube executed in the manner of a labyrinth, to the thin and long fibre.
- Ink cartridge according to claim 1, characterised in that the thin and long fibre (4) is joined together and extends from the upper cover to the ink outlet opening (6), which is securely fixed in the cartridge.
- Ink cartridge according to claim 1, characterised in that the small capillary tube (3) executed in the manner of a labyrinth and an associated arrangement (7) preventing leakage of the ink are designed so that, when the air labyrinth (8) is closed, the ink cannot reach the thin and long fibre (4).
