Claims (14)

  1. Device (28) for adjusting the length of a wristband or bracelet (14), particularly fitted with a clasp with unfolding strips, to be inserted generally longitudinally between two end strands (20, 26) of the bracelet (14), the adjustment device (28) including a base plate (24) at a first longitudinal end and an adjusting link (30) at a second longitudinal end, the adjusting link (30) being hinged on the base plate (24) via at least one connecting rod (32, 34), which is hinged, by a first end, on the base plate (24) via a first transverse articulation pin called the main pin (A1) and which is hinged, by a second end, on the adjusting link (30) via a second transverse articulation pin called the secondary pin (A2), wherein the adjusting link (30) is arranged so as to slide relative to the base plate (24) along the longitudinal direction of the bracelet (14), including a locking device (58) enabling the adjusting link (30) to catch on an anchoring element (60) arranged on the base plate (24) in at least two indexed longitudinal positions (Pc, PI) respectively defining two bracelet (14) lengths, characterized in that the anchoring element (60) is arranged on the main pin (A1).
  2. Device (28) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the adjusting link (30) is hinged on the base plate (24) via two connecting rods (32, 34) which are arranged on either side of the transverse ends of the adjusting link (30).
  3. Device (28) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the anchoring element (60) is formed by the median section of a main pin (36) which is secured to the base plate (24) and which forms the main pin (A1), each connecting rod (32, 34) being hinged on one transverse end section of the main pin (36).
  4. Device (28) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the base plate (24) includes several pairs of opposite housings (44) that are distributed in several longitudinal positions and which are for receiving both ends of the main pin (36) so as to allow an additional adjustment of the length of the bracelet (14) by altering the longitudinal position of the main pin (A1) on the base plate (24).
  5. Device (28) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking device (58) includes at least two notches (62, 64) arranged in the adjusting link (30) for cooperating by a snap fit with the anchoring element (60).
  6. Device (28) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that each notch (62, 64) includes in the inner wall thereof at least one raised portion (66) for holding the adjusting link (30) on the anchoring element (60) by a resilient snap fit.
  7. Device (28) according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the notches (62, 64) are integral with the adjusting link (30).
  8. Device (28) according to any one of claims 2 to 7, characterized in that the adjusting link (30) includes an oblong longitudinal hole (46), and in that the secondary pin (A2) is formed by a secondary pin (48) which is secured to the connecting rods (32, 34) and which slides into the oblong hole (46).
  9. Device (28) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, in at least one of the indexed longitudinal positions (Pc, PI) of the adjusting link (30), one longitudinal end of the adjusting link (30) is substantially aligned with the longitudinal end of a connecting rod (32, 34).
  10. Device (28) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it includes at least one locking element that restricts the pivoting of the connecting rods (32, 34) about the main pin (A1) in a determined angular sector.
  11. Device (28) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adjusting link (30) is hinged on the inner face (38) of the base plate (24), on the side of the wrist that is wearing the bracelet (14).
  12. Device (28) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the base plate (24) is formed by the cover (24) of a clasp (16) with unfolding strips.
  13. Wristband or bracelet (14), particularly for a watch (10) worn on the wrist, characterized in that it includes a device (28) for adjusting the length thereof according to any of the preceding claims.
