- A maintenance vehicle (1) having two vehicle boundaries (8), enclosing a work space (13), which extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are positioned opposite one another and designed to be distanced from one another by means of drives (12) in the direction of an axis (7) of on-track undercarriages (5), the vehicle boundaries (8) being formed in each case by a vehicle side wall (10) and a roof plane (11) connected thereto and enclosing an angle α, characterized in that two on-track undercarriages (5), spaced from one another in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, are connected to one another by means of a vehicle frame (3) which is positioned centrally with respect to said on-track undercarriages (5) and the direction of the axis (7), the vehicle frame (3) comprising, between the two on-track undercarriages (5), an upwardly recessed frame section (6) on which the two vehicle boundaries (8) are supported.
- A vehicle according to claim 1, characterized in that a motive drive (15) is associated with an on-track undercarriage (5).
- A vehicle according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a driver's cab (16) is provided at one end (4) of the vehicle frame (3).
- A vehicle according to claim 3, characterized in that, between the driver's cab (16) and the work space (13) formed by the vehicle boundaries (8), a connecting passage (18) is provided for working personnel to enter the driver's cab (16) or the work space (13).
