Description

The present invention relates to a punching device according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method of operating it according to claim 8.

A generic punching device and a corresponding operating method are from the EP-B 0 773 856 of the WO 85/01241 and the DE 102 30 365 A1 known. The material sheet to be cut is placed between two wedge-shaped, hollow cylindrical punching blades in the profile. These are mutually movable and arranged so that they can not touch in their final position. This cuts the sheet of material from two sides except for a thin core. The blank is broken out of the sheet of material by means of a punch-like core, which is arranged in one of the knives. Such devices have the advantage that the punching blades do not wear as easily as, for example, the complete punching through the sheet of material. Furthermore, the formation of burrs can be prevented at the edges, which can occur, for example, in the die-Patrizen-cutting.

Ideally, both punching blades penetrate approximately equally deep into the sheet material. To adjust the depth of cut, especially for adaptation to different sheet thicknesses, suggests the EP-B 0 773 856 To provide both knives with stamp-like cores, which are resiliently mounted within the knife ring and can be offset in the punching direction against the knife tips to the rear. At rest, the front surfaces of the stamp lie in the plane of the blade tips, creating a Bending of the bow is prevented. Stop elements limit the maximum stroke of the core relative to the knife and thus determine the maximum cutting depth of the knife. In addition, located on the lower support plate, a stop which cooperates with the upper support plate and determines the minimum distance of the blade tips. By a suitable choice of the spring constants of the storage of the cores, it should be possible that, when the upper knife is lowered, the lower knife first cuts into the material. Its cutting depth is limited by the core. In the course of the further downward movement of the upper knife this also cuts into the material, its cutting depth is now limited by the upper core or the stop.

The problem here is that although an adaptation of the device to different thicknesses of the material sheet is possible, but not to different hardnesses. For this purpose, an adjustment of the spring constants of the two springs would be necessary in order to still realize a cut on both sides about the same depth. Furthermore, the expressions and the removal of the blank can be realized only with great effort. Since the ejection of the blank takes place in the end position of the knife, the ejecting core must work against the spring force of the other core. Furthermore, the upper support plate for removal of the blank must be lifted so far that the blank can be accessed. Such a relatively large stroke by a multiple of the thickness of the material sheet on the one hand complicates the necessary very precise alignment of the two knives and on the other hand, the realization of high cycle numbers. Another problem is the high wear of the mechanical Components that result from the abrupt braking of the relevant attacks.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a punching device and a corresponding punching method in which the removal of the blank is facilitated.

The object is achieved by a punching device having the features of claim 1 and a method of operating such a punching device having the features of claim 8. Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims, the description and the drawings.

According to the invention, two hollow cylindrical punching knives are used. One of the punching knives is stamped. The second punching knife and its associated carrier device have in the punching direction a through opening through which the blank can be ejected by means of the punch. In this way, it is possible to efficiently discharge the blanks without the need for the knives to perform more than the relative stroke necessary for the insertion and punching of the sheet. The stamp is used in an advantageous development of the invention for perfecting the cutting edge by its contour is adapted to the contour of the second punching blade, that the blank is not only broken, but the soul is cut through the blank when ejecting the blank over the entire circumference.

In the open design according to the invention of the second punching knife and its carrier device, the sheet is preferably fed so that it can interact with the punching knives largely unhindered and especially before or during punching does not bend. According to the punching device is designed so that the movement of the sheet in the punching direction in normal operation is not limited by stops, neither directly, for example by stamp as in the EP-B 0 773 856 still indirectly by cooperating with a sheet support attacks. Also, the drive of the punching blade relative to each other is preferably realized so that the punching depth or the stroke of the punching blade can be adjusted without stopping only by means of a suitable control of the drive. The non-impact construction, when using knives of the same profile, results in a substantially symmetrical penetration into the sheet of material, even if only one of the knives is driven.

Fig. 2 zeigt das Stanzwerkzeug 44 im Detail. Fig. 1 shows an overview punching device according to the invention with a punching tool 44, which is mounted in a frame 40 and a holder. Fig. 2 shows the punching tool 44 in detail. The Figures 3-6 put the operation of the punching device.

The core of the punching device is the actual punching tool 44, which in Fig. 1 and 2 each comprises three pairs of knives, which consist of an upper first punching knife 10 and a lower second punching knife 12. In Fig. 3-6 For the sake of simplicity, only one pair of blades is shown.

First and second punching blades 10, 12 are rigidly connected to a respective carrier device 20, 22, of which in Fig. 3-6 only the lower support device 22 is shown. As in Fig. 3-6 indicated, the carrier device 22 comprises a blade receiving plate 22 '; the upper support device 20 may be designed analogously. The carrier device 22 is fixedly connected to the frame 40, while the first punching blade 10 and its carrier device 20 can be moved by means of a suitable drive 36 in the punching direction S and thereby executes a stroke H. Preferably, the drive is an electrically controllable, pneumatically or hydraulically operating lifting device whose stroke H can be adjusted by means of a control device 42 and in small steps, for example in 0.02 mm steps, can be changed. The stroke H is preferably between about 4 and 6 mm.

The vertically oriented precision rolling guides 32 connected to the carrier devices 20, 22 serve to realize the precise vertical movement of the punching blades 10, 12. With adjusting means, not shown, the relative position of the punching blades 10, 12 is set in the horizontal direction. Vertically oriented compression springs 34 arranged between the carrier devices 20, 22 serve to stabilize the carrier devices 20, 22 and upward movement of the upper support device 20 during punching.

The punching blades 10, 12 are hollow cylindrical and have a wedge-shaped in section in the punching direction S cutting edge 11, 13. The punching blades 10, 12 are opposite to each other in the here vertically extending punching direction S. The area enclosed by the knife edges 11, 13 has approximately the same shape for both punching blades 10, 12.

A flat sheet support 18 is connected to the lower support device 22 via springs 26 (see Fig. 3-6 ). The support surface 19 of the sheet support 18 is located in Fig. 3 illustrated resting state above the cutting edge 13 of the lower punching blade 12, for example, 0.5-1 mm apart to the sheet of material 16 to be able to introduce nondestructive between the two punching blades 10, 12.

As in Fig. 3-6 shown schematically, a punch 14 is disposed within the upper punch blade 10, which can be with a further drive 38 in the vertical direction, ie in the punching direction S, can be moved. The front surface 15 of the punch 14 is offset at rest relative to the cutting edges 11 of the upper punch blade 10 by an amount D of about 1 mm.

According to the invention, the lower punching blade 12, the knife-receiving plate 22 'and the support device 22 are hollow and enclose a channel-like, in the punching direction S opening 24 through which the blank 30 can be pushed down. In contrast to the prior art, the lower punching knife 12 contains no stamp. Furthermore, the sheet support 18 is provided with a recess 25 which is aligned in the punching direction S with the opening 24 and larger than this.

Below the lower carrier device 22 is a transport device 46 for blanks 30, which in Fig. 6 is indicated.

The punching device works as follows: As in Fig. 1 shown, a sheet of material 16 is introduced on the sheet support 18 between the punching blades 10, 12. The sheet support 18 is held by the springs 26, of which a total of preferably four, at a distance from the blade receiving plate 22 '. The punch 14 is located in a relation to the cutting 11 of the upper punch blade 10 retracted position.

A control pulse of the control device 42 actuates the drive 36 and causes the upper support device 20 to move downwards by a stroke H. In Fig. 4 the lowered position of the upper punch blade 10 is shown in solid lines and the rest position according to Fig. 3 indicated by dashed lines. The punch 14 is still coupled to the upper support device 20 and therefore also moved downwards. Due to the pressure of the upper punching blade 10 on the material sheet 16, the upper punching blade 10 cuts into the sheet of material 16. The spring constant of the sheet support 18 supporting springs 26 is chosen so small that the force necessary for pressing down the sheet support 18 by a multiple is lower than the force exerted by the upper punch blade 10, preferably by a factor of 100-500. For example, with a typical punching force of 25 kN, the force required to push down the sheet support 18 by typically 2-3 mm is approximately between 50 and 150 N. Thus, the sheet support 18 offers virtually no resistance. Furthermore, the movement of the Sheet support 18 down not limited by stops, in particular between the lower support device 22 and the blade receiving plate 22 'and the sheet support 18, a gap 48. The recess 25 in the sheet support 18 is so large that the sheet support 18 when pressed down with the Punching knife 12 or the blade receiving plate 22 'comes into contact or even jammed. This stop-free design and the low spring constant cause the sheet support 18 yields immediately and both punching blades 10, 12 in a homogeneous material or in section symmetrically constructed composite material by the impact of the upper punch blade 10 are approximately equally deep pushed into the sheet 16. An adaptation of the penetration depths T1, T2 by stops or in the knife arranged punch as in the prior art is not necessary. This construction prevents despite the open design of the lower punch blade 12 and the sheet support 18 with recess 25 bending and thus imprecise cutting of the material sheet 16, since at a very early date in the punching process already the cutting edges 11, 13 of both punching blades 10, 12 penetrate and the sheet pad no resistance is exercised.

According to the invention, the stroke H with the control device 42 is selected so that both punching blades 10, 12 penetrate into a depth T1 or T2, T1 being approximately equal to T2, and a core 28 having a thickness d of approximately 0.05 to 0, 15 mm, preferably about 0.1 mm between the knife edges 11, 13 remains. Furthermore, the front surface 15 of the punch 14 relative to the cutting edge 11 of the upper punch blade 10 by an amount D> T1 offset to the rear, so that they during the punching process from the material sheet 16th is spaced and does not act as a stop.

Fig. 5 shows how the blank 30 is pressed out of the material sheet 16 by means of the punch 14. For this purpose, the control device 42 causes the further drive 38 to move the punch 14 relative to the upper punching knife 10. The stroke of the punch 14 relative to the punching knife 10 is preferably 10 to 20 mm for this purpose. An unillustrated lifting cylinder with fixed end positions serves to realize the movement of the punch. Preferably, the outer edges 14 'of the punch 14 cooperate in the manner of a pair of scissors with the knife edge 13 of the lower punch blade 12 by the contour of the punch 14 is adapted to that of the punching blade 12, so that the soul 28 is severed clean. As in Fig. 6 shown, the blank 30 falls down through the opening 24 and can be removed there or removed with a suitable transport means 46. Subsequently, the upper support device 20 and the punch 14 are again in their in Fig. 3 brought shown rest position, so that the spring 26 relaxed and the support surface 19 of the sheet support 18 is again arranged above the knife edge 13.

Instead of an electro-hydraulic or electropneumatic drive, an eccentric drive can also be used, with which a stop-free movement of the punching blade with a predetermined stroke can likewise be realized. The drive 38 for the punch 14 can also be integrated in the drive 36 for the upper punching blade 10 and the upper support device 20.
