Claims (5)

Vorsorter zur Abgangssortierung von Sendungen, der enthält: - mehrere parallel angeordnete Querbandsorter (1, 2, 3), - je einen einem Querbandsorter (1, 2, 3) zugeordneten Leser (101, 102, 103) für die Registrierung einer auf einer Sendung befindlichen Adresse; - mehrere Abgänge (X1, X2, X3) auf denen die nach einem Sortierkriterium sortierten Sendungen gemäss der registrierten Adresse wegführbar sind,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
orthogonal zum Querbandsorter (1, 2, 3) mehrere Querbänder (Q1, Q2, ..) angeordnet sind, die zu je einem Abgang (X1, X2, ..) führen; wobei jedes Querband (Q1, Q2, .. ) vom Querbandsorter (1, 2, 3) mit Sendungen gemäss dem Sortierkriterium beschickbar ist.

einzelne Querbänder (Q2, Q3) in zwei entgegengesetzte laufende Abschnitte von Querbändern (Q2, Q2'; Q3, Q3') gegliedert sind.
