Claims (9)
- Apparatus (A) for lifting and handling plates, panels, of the type comprising a panel carrier or plate carrier and, starting from a pole (1), telescopic elements controlled by a winch (3), a plate or panel support articulation device (6) articulatedly mounted on a pin (7) relative to a means rigidly connected to the upper end of the telescopic element at the upper end of the pole (1), said articulation device comprising a shaped support base (9) provided so as to accommodate means allowing it to be tilted into the horizontal, intermediate or vertical position, the panel carrier or plate carrier (10) being provided with a carrying arm (10a) that is longitudinally adjustable depending on the dimensions of the panels or plates to be taken up and positioned, the carrying arm (10a) including a gripping means, characterised in that said gripping means is in the form of a handlebar (12) provided with operating handles (13-14) and control means (23-26) for locking and unlocking the articulation device, the handlebar constituting the means of positioning the plate carrier or panel carrier in the horizontal, intermediate or vertical positions.
- Apparatus as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the handlebar (12) is secured by welding to the carrying arm (10a) in its median part.
- Apparatus as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the lower base of the carrying arm (10a) accommodates a circular pivotal pedestal (15) provided with a recessed part (15a) and two notches (15b-15c) located angularly at 90° relative to one another,
and in that the pivotal pedestal is secured by welding to the carrying arm of the panel carrier,
and in that starting from the upper face of the support base (9) provision is made for a ring (16) to be fixed with screws (17) and pivotal pedestal roller bearing means (18), the assembly being secured to the tilting support base (9) with the associated flanges (9b-9c). - Apparatus as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that on the side of said support base flanges is placed a pivot stop (19) placed on and secured to one of the flanges (9b), this stop projecting beyond the top of the flange and facing one of the ends of the recessed part formed on the pivotal pedestal,
and in that on the other side, the other flange (9c) accommodates a locking means (20) able to engage with one of the notches (15b-15c) formed on the pivotal pedestal. - Apparatus as claimed in claim 4, characterised in that the locking means (20) includes a housing (20a) secured by welding to the facing flange,
and in that said blind housing can be used to accommodate a finger (21) acted upon against a return spring (22) mounted at the housing bottom,
and in that the end (21a) of said finger comes into contact with the lower face of the pivotal pedestal when the notched part is not in line,
and in that when it is placed opposite, and action is taken to trigger the return means, the finger partially leaves its housing and comes opposite the free zone of the aforementioned notch. - Apparatus as claimed in claim 5, characterised in that the locking finger is fitted with a shouldered inner cavity allowing the insertion of the end (23a) of a first control means established in the form of a traction cable (23), said end accommodating a stop means (24) that comes into contact with the bottom of the shouldered part,
and in that said traction cable (23) is connected to the aforementioned handlebar (12) through the operating handle (13) related thereto. - Apparatus as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that said support base flanges (9b-9c) provided with oblong apertures (9b1-9c1) allow articulation relative to a connecting pin (7) passing through said fixed section with a finger (25) that can be retracted so that it can be adapted and positioned through the parts constituting the oblong aperture, said finger being associated with a second control means of the traction cable (26) type with one end (26a) thereof going directly to the second operating handle (14) placed on the handlebar, while the other end is secured (26b) to the rear part of said finger (25).
- Apparatus as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the carrying arm (10a) accommodates at the ends position-adjustable extension pieces (10d), one of the extension pieces having a dimension-indicating register (10e),
and in that a device is provided for adjusting the height of the panel carrier or plate carrier,
and in that the upper telescopic element (1a), from which is fixed the fixed horizontal section (8) that accommodates the support base (9) so that it may tilt, is provided with a bearing surface (27) or the equivalent accommodating the end of a roll-out measuring means (28). - Apparatus as claimed in claim 8, characterised in that the measuring means is a roll-up tape measure with the enclosure thereof being mounted fixed in a housing (29) placed on the face of the outer casing accommodating the telescopic elements of the pole.
