Abstract

The insect screen, to cover a door or window opening, has a swing or sliding frame with a magnetic closure. At least one permanent magnet (20) is at a frame section (18) of the swing/sliding frame (16) and wholly enclosed within a chamber (19), to work with a second permanent magnet (23) fixed at the door or window post within a chamber (22). At least one magnet is a strip or bar.
