Description

The present invention relates to soles for footwear and has for object such a sole having a damping device.

The soles of this type are intended to provide a better walking comfort, a lesser feeling of fatigue and ensure the absorption of shocks.

Several solutions exist today to cushion shocks due to the contact of the sole with the ground.

A first solution is to insert between the various layers constituting the sole, namely the outsole, the first mounting and the first clean, a layer of damping material. This embodiment has, however, the disadvantage of weighing down the shoe and increasing the height of the sole, thus making its use less pleasant.

Another solution is to insert a cushion of air in the heel of the shoe. Here arises the problem of the protection of the inner tube. Indeed, it may deflate and lose its effectiveness when the user walks on a sharp or sharp object.

Many other solutions have been proposed. Thus, the document FR-A-2,577,119 describes a shoe sole provided with a device for energy recovery. Here, the sole comprises a piston slidably mounted in a liner at the heel and projecting from the heel surface. However, this embodiment has a major drawback, namely that the device for restoring energy is troublesome for walking, because the walker feels at each step, this device sink into the heel. In addition, said device entails very high risk of destabilization and falling and is not suitable for use on inhomogeneous and uneven terrain.

Another solution is proposed in the document US-A-4,616,431 relating to a sole for a sports shoe, in which shock absorbing devices in the form of discs inserted in cylinders are mounted, a piston being mounted in each of said cylinders for exerting pressure against said discs in load conditions, that is to say when the foot rests on the ground. This realization is not convincing because the damping is limited, because the disks are superimposed and damping depends on the possibility of compression of said disks.

It is the same for the devices described in the documents DE-A-29 01 084 , FR-A-2,774,565 , US-B1-6 176 025 and EP-A-0 399 332 , wherein the shock absorbing elements have a relatively low deformation capacity limiting their effectiveness.

The patent French No. 2,731,597 in the name of the applicant, discloses a damping device for improving this shock absorption capacity, in which an insert is mounted in the heel of the sole, this insert consisting of elements in the form of pins to be compressed when walking. This embodiment has limitations because the pins have a relatively small shape and because they are arranged in a fairly dense manner, which does not promote their deformation and therefore their shock absorbing capacity. The device according to this document is rather intended to improve the comfort at the heel to absorb shock.

The present invention is intended in particular to further improve the damping, to overcome the drawbacks mentioned above and to propose a solution for producing a sole comprising a damping device, achieving a significant absorption of shocks independently of the terrain used, in particular on uneven ground, and whose insertion into the sole does not change the shape of the latter, which keeps its effectiveness, even when said device is pierced. In addition, this device can be used in many types of shoes.

For this purpose, it relates to a footwear sole according to claim 1.

The invention will be better understood, thanks to the following description, which refers to a preferred embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, and explained with reference to the attached schematic drawings, in which:
  • the figure 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of the sole according to one embodiment of the invention, and
  • the figure 2 is a simplified bottom view of the sole according to another embodiment of the invention.

The figure 1 By way of example, the accompanying drawings represent a soleplate which essentially consists of a first cleanliness element 1, a first assembly element 2 and a wear soleplate 3 and which comprises at least one damping device 4.

According to the invention, this damping device 4 may be an insert or elastically deformable element, inserted in said sole and in the form of a molded body consisting of tubular parts 4 ', closed at one end, mutually spaced and connected at the from their open end to a common base 4 ".

The insert or elastically deformable element is preferably mounted in the mounting flange 2. This embodiment of the damping device 4 as an insert makes it possible to introduce the latter into all the insoles of footwear simply by predicting in their sole of a housing for receiving said damping device 4. This feature is advantageous because it allows to standardize the manufacture of soles provided with such devices 4 and thus promotes the reduction of manufacturing costs of these soles.

According to the invention, the common base 4 "has a peripheral skirt 4 '' 'defining a chamber housing the closed ends of the tubular parts 4', thereby obtaining a damping device having a perfectly directed deformation structure which promotes stability of the shoe and makes it possible to achieve shock absorption in a totally uniform and vertical manner.

Conformément à l'invention, l'élément 4 élastiquement déformable est disposé dans un réceptacle souple 6 fermé de manière étanche par un couvercle 7.According to the invention, the elastically deformable element 4 is disposed in a flexible receptacle 6 sealingly closed by a cover 7.

The constituent material of said elastically deformable molded body 4 may advantageously be chosen according to its damping and shock absorption properties.

In order to achieve optimal shock absorption, and according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the flexible receptacle 6 can form a vertical peripheral chamber around the molded body 4 elastically deformable and said elastically deformable molded body 4 can be in contact with the lid 7 and with the portion of the flexible receptacle 6 opposite said lid 7.

This vertical peripheral chamber makes it possible, in fact, to improve the shock absorption because, in addition to being deformed during impact, it is separated from the molded body 4, elastically deformable, by a volume, in which said molded body 4 can to deform completely and freely during an impact, without being obstructed by the walls of the flexible receptacle 6 and, therefore, gently absorb the energy relative to the impact.

The portion of the flexible receptacle 6 opposite the cover 7 may advantageously have a device 8 for centering and holding the molded body 4 elastically deformable to ensure the proper operation of the damping device 4. Indeed, the device 8 for centering and holding the molded body 4 elastically deformable ensures stable positioning of said molded body 4 in the flexible receptacle 6 and thus ensures a uniform shock absorption of the molded body 4 and, therefore, the effectiveness of the damping device.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the device 8 for centering and holding the elastically deformable molded body 4 can advantageously be in the form of a central bowl, formed in the portion of the flexible receptacle 6 opposite the lid 7 and intimately matching the contour of the molded body 4 elastically deformable over part of its height.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, not shown, the device 8 for centering and holding the elastically deformable molded body 4, in the part of the flexible receptacle 6 opposite to the lid 7, can also be made in the form of a projecting portion penetrating centrally in the molded body 4 elastically deformable.

According to another embodiment, not shown, the elastically deformable molded body 4 can be in intimate contact with the In this case, during an impact, the flexible receptacle 6 does not hinder the deformation of the molded body 4 which is elastically deformable and deforms itself because of its elastic properties.

According to the invention, the outsole is provided with a lower element 9 for protecting the resiliently deformable receptacle 6, integrated with said molded wear sole. This element 9 protects the receptacle 6 elastically deformable against wear during walking, and also against the penetration of dirt such as dust, water, or other.

Depending on the use of the shoe and the needs of its user, and according to one embodiment of the invention, at least one elastically deformable element 4 may advantageously be inserted into the heel portion 5 of the sole.

To absorb shocks at the forefoot part, and according to another embodiment of the invention, at least one elastically deformable element 4 can be inserted into the sole at one of the three points of the foot. support 10, 11 and 12 forming the triangle of levitation of the forefoot (see figure 2 ).

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, not shown, or the receptacles 6 can lead by their lower face through the outsole 3. This or these receptacles 6 do not interfere with the user when walking, because they compress when the latter puts his foot on the ground, while damping shocks. In addition, such an embodiment makes it possible to obtain a simplified insole of lower cost.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are possible, especially from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of the invention, which is defined by the claims.
