Definitions
- the invention relates to a protective and cushioning packaging suitable for packaging objects with a circular contour, and more specifically to an object of size and shape comparable to that of a finished or semi-finished spectacle lens.
- a “semi-finished” glass is a spectacle lens whose only convex surface is finished (machined) in series production.
- Such a glass is sent by the manufacturer to a "prescription laboratory" which is responsible for machining the concave face according to the needs of the wearer.
- This glass is sent by the manufacturer to the optician who overflows (detour) depending on the shape of the frame selected by the wearer and morphological parameters specific to the wearer (pupillary distance, position of the pupils in relation to the circles of the mount).
- French patent application N ° FR-2 703 654 discloses a drawer-case for eyeglass lenses consisting of an outer envelope and a receptacle, the latter comprising a bottom panel, and two deformable parallelogram-shaped box edges, a cutout being made in each box-edge, for the at least partial insertion of the spectacle lens.
- the receptacle of this packaging-drawer receives the spectacle lens on its bottom panel and in the aforementioned cutouts, and is inserted into the outer casing, the whole forming a box suitable for transport.
- the invention is nevertheless intended to improve them, particularly as regards the setting of the glass.
- the packaging according to the invention thus optimally stalls and transports objects of different shapes and thicknesses. It is not necessary, for a given diameter, to have packaging references specific to each type of circular object by virtue of the arrangement of the locking tabs and boxes providing a modulable holding means.
- This packaging can, moreover, be made in one piece which makes its production and use in production easier and less expensive.
- each locking tab in each opening made in the inner side panels, four locking tabs are arranged, each locking tab being independent of the others and attached to the bottom panel by one of its ends.
- the locking tongues may comprise at least one transverse pre-fold along their length.
- each box is formed in one piece with the bottom panel by a rectangular panel connected by a first pre-fold to the edge of the bottom panel, said pan having a second pre-fold defining the panel external side, a third pre-fold delimiting the intermediate panel, a fourth pre-fold delimiting the internal side panel, said pan extending beyond the fourth pre-fold by a fastening flap secured to the bottom panel so that the fourth pre-fold is juxtaposed with the first pre-fold.
- the intermediate panel may comprise a longitudinal pre-fold, which may be arranged substantially along the longitudinal median of the intermediate panel.
- the width of the outer side panel may be substantially equal to the width of the inner side panel.
- the means for holding the boxes and the flaps in the raised position include means associated with the flaps and boxes to maintain the boxes in the raised position when the flaps are in the raised position and means to maintain the flaps vis-à-vis, against the boxes.
- These means for holding the boxes and the flaps in the raised position may comprise a closing panel hinged to the free edge of one of the flaps, this closure panel may comprise means of attachment to the boxes and the opposite flap, so as to be adapted to take a closed position in which it is parallel to the bottom panel and positioned against the boxes and the free edge of the opposite flap, when they are in the raised position.
- the closure panel may comprise, beyond a pre-fold and from its end opposite the flap on which it is hinged, a foldback panel adapted to be superimposed on the opposite flap when the closure panel is in the position of closing.
- the attachment means mentioned may comprise fastening tabs protruding from the edges of the closure panel, the boxes and the opposite flap may include notches adapted to cooperate with these fastening tabs.
- the flaps may each be attached to the adjacent longitudinal ends of the boxes by two gussets.
- the width of the outer side panel and the width of the inner side panel of this packaging blank may be substantially equal.
- the outer side panels and the flaps are connected in pairs, at their ends adjacent to the bottom panel, by a gusset.
- each of the flaps and of each of the external lateral panels may be substantially equal
- the invention provides a method of packaging and stalling an object with a circular contour, this method employing a package as described above.
- This method provides for choosing a package - object package to be packaged where the bottom panel is a square whose side is substantially equal to the diameter of the glass.
- the package 1 comprises a bottom panel 2, two side boxes 3, two flaps 4, 5 and a closure panel 6.
- the side boxes 3 are arranged along two opposite edges 7 of the bottom panel 2, they are identical and extend parallel to each other by resting their entire length on the bottom panel 2.
- These boxes 3 also have a triangular section 8 (see figure 1 ) which reinforces the rigidity of the structure, which is formed from a sheet material such as cardboard.
- This structure 8 is obtained for each box 3 by the connection, along a pre-bend 9, of an outer side panel 10 with an intermediate panel 11, the latter being itself connected, along a pre-fold 12, to an inner side panel 13.
- These panels 10, 11, 13 are all rectangular in shape, each having a length preferably equal to that of the edge 7 of the bottom panel 2 to which the corresponding box 3 is attached. .
- each box 3 to the bottom panel 2 is made according to a pre-fold 14 common to the edge 7 of the bottom panel 2 and to a linear end of the box 3 corresponding to one of the vertices of the triangle described by section 8 of the box 3.
- Each casing 3, consequently formed by a triangular profile 8, is thus movable along the pre-bend 14 between a sloped position in which the external lateral panel 10 is arranged in the same plane as the bottom panel 2 ( figure 7 ) and a raised position in which the outer side panel 10 is disposed perpendicularly to the bottom panel 2 ( figures 1 , 3, 4 and 5 ).
- Each casing 3 also has an opening 15 made in its internal lateral panel 13.
- This opening 15 has a rectangular shape centered on the length of the internal lateral panel 13, one 16 of the edges of greater length the delimiting opening flush with the bottom panel 2 and the other 17 edges of greater length delimiting opening in the vicinity of the junction 12 of the inner side panel 13 and the intermediate panel 11.
- This opening 15 is intended for the at least partial engagement of a spectacle lens 18 when the boxes 3 are in the raised position, as can be seen in FIG. figure 1 .
- the length of the opening 15 was determined as a function of the maximum diameter of the glass 18 and the shape of the box 3, so as to be, preferably, large enough to ensure that the glass 18 comes at the most against the edges 19, laterally delimiting the opening, when it is in place in the package 1 and the boxes 3 are in the raised position.
- Each box 3 further comprises four wedging tongues 20, 21 protruding from the edge 17 delimiting the opening 15 opposite the bottom panel 2. They are articulated in a pre-fold 22 flush with said edge 17.
- These tongues 20, 21 are of rectangular shape, their length extending over the entire width of the opening 15.
- the four locking tabs 20, 21 of each box 3 are in any case juxtaposed with each other and are able to occupy the entire section of the opening 15 when they are arranged in the plane of the internal side panel 13.
- the central tongues 20, as well as the lateral tongues 21, are free from any fastening on their longer sides 23 as well as on their side 24 coinciding with the edge 16 defining the opening 15 flush with the bottom panel 2 , only their attachment 22 to the edge 17 delimiting the opening 15 opposite the bottom panel 2 allows them to be integral with the inner side panel 13.
- the tongues 20, 21 each comprise, along their length, three other pre-folds transverse 25 delimiting each tongue 20; 21 in four approximately equal portions.
- each box 3 in four tongues 20, 21 freely movable about an axis 22 coincides with the edge 17 defining the opening 15 opposite the bottom panel 2, this movement allowing the free end 26 of each tab 20; 21 to be positioned on one side or the other of the plane of the inner side panel 13.
- the tongues 20, 21 are capable of elastic deformation following each of the pre-bends 25 arranged along their length.
- flaps 4, 5 are arranged on either side of two opposite edges 27, 28 of the bottom panel 2, each along a pre-folding line 29; 30, and are therefore adjacent to the caissons 3, the latter occupying the other two opposite edges 7 of the bottom panel 2.
- the bottom panel 2 is thus extended star, that is to say from each of its edges 7, 27, 28, by four panels 4, 5, 10, to the extent that the flaps 4, 5 are of rectangular shape and substantially identical to the external side panels 10.
- the flaps 4, 5 are movable between a slaughtered position in which the flap 4; 5 extends in the same plane as the bottom panel 2 ( figures 3 , 7 and 10 ) and a raised position in which the flap 4; 5 stands substantially perpendicular to the bottom panel 2 ( figure 2 ).
- each gusset 32 forming the junction of each edge 31 of the flaps with the adjacent edge 33 of the outer side panel 10.
- the outer side panels 10 and the flaps 4, 5 are arranged in the plane of the bottom panel 2.
- Each gusset 32 appears in this figure as a flap connecting to the flaps 4, 5 and the outer side panel 10 that connects by two pre-bends 35, one in the extension of the pre-fold 29; 30 connecting the flap 4; 5 to the bottom panel 2 and the other in the extension of the pre-fold 14 connecting the outer side panel 10 to the bottom panel 2.
- the gusset 32 is finally completed by a central pre-bend 36 starting from the corresponding angle 37 of the bottom panel 2 and extending at 45 ° towards the end of the gusset 32.
- the packaging 1 for spectacle lens 18 further comprises a closure panel 6, of identical dimensions to that of the bottom panel 2, attached by a pre-fold 38 to the free end of one of the flaps, this panel closure 6 being thus able to form a cover, parallel to the bottom panel 2, for the box formed by the boxes 3 and the flaps 4, 5 in the raised position.
- Means for holding the closure panel 6 in its lid function have been provided. These are two fastening tabs 39 projecting from the closure panel 6, more precisely from its two opposite edges 40 which are perpendicular to the pre-fold 38 connecting it to the flap 5. These fastening tabs 39, delimited each by a pre-fold 41 in the alignment of the edge 40 of the closure panel 6, are adapted to cooperate with two notches 42 each formed on one of the intermediate panels 11.
- This folding panel 43 is itself extended, on its edge opposite the closure panel 6, by a third attachment tab 46, along a pre-fold 47, this attachment tab 46 being able to cooperate with a notch 48 made in the opposite flap 4, at its junction 29 with the bottom panel 2.
- the package 1 can thus be maintained in the position of the figure 2 , the boxes 3 and the flaps 4, 5 being in the raised position, the closure panel 6 covering them and the foldback panel 43 coming to press against the corresponding flap 4.
- the three tabs 39, 46 inserted into their notches 42, 48 correspond to maintain the cohesion and rigidity of the package 1 closed.
- the package 1 is thus ready to be transported, stacked or simply handled, without damage to the spectacle lens 18.
- central 49 square panel whose each angle has undergone two symmetrical notches.
- this central panel 49 are delimited a bottom panel 2, two external side panels 10, two flaps 4, 5 and four gussets 32.
- a central pre-bend 36 is formed by a dotted perforation line.
- the blank 34 also includes, extending from the edge 50 opposite the bottom panel 2 of each outer side panel 10, a box panel 51 attached by a pre-bend 9 to said edge 50.
- Each of these box panels 51 comprises a first 12 and second 52 single pre-fold delimiting successively an intermediate panel 11, an inner side panel 13 and a fastening flap 53.
- this pre-bend 54 On the intermediate panel 11 is also formed a pre-bending 54, passing longitudinally along this panel 11 along a center line, this pre-bend 54 receiving three notches 55 distributed over its length so as to promote folding.
- the internal lateral panel 13 receives, meanwhile, a cutout 15 corresponding to the opening described above consisting of the cutting of three sides of a rectangle, one of which coincides with said second pre-bend 52, as well as three cutouts. inside said rectangle and perpendicular to this second pre-bend 52, delimiting four wedging tongues 20, 21 attached by one of their ends to the inner side panel 13.
- a simple pre-fold 22 is furthermore formed on each wedging tongue 20, 21 at its attachment to the inner side panel 13, as well as three other transverse pre-folds 25 distributed along the length of the tongue 20; 21.
- the blank 34 finally comprises a cover panel 56 attached by a pre-fold 38 to the free edge of one of the flaps 5, this cover panel 56 having a pre-fold 44 delimiting successively, from said free edge, a panel of closure 6 and a folding panel 43, the cover panel 56 having an attachment tongue 39, 46 on each of its free edges: two tongues of attachment 39 vis-à-vis intended to cooperate with the two notches 42 practiced at the junction 9 of the side panels 10 and intermediate panels 11, and a third attachment tab 46 intended to cooperate with a notch 48 made along the pre-fold 29 of junction between the bottom panel 2 and the opposite flap 4.
- the formation of the packaging 1 for spectacle lens 18 from the blank 34 described is simply done by gluing each fastening flap 53 on the corresponding edge 7 of the bottom panel 2 (shaded area on the figure 9 ) so as to juxtapose the pre-fold 52 joining the inner side panel 13 to the fastening flaps 53 and the pre-fold 14 joining the outer side panel 10 to the bottom panel 2.
- the outer side panel 10, the intermediate panel 11 and the inner side panel 13 thus form a triangular profile 8.
- FIG. 9 represents the blank 34 before gluing
- the figure 7 represents the blank 34 after this bonding operation performed, the boxes 3 being then formed (they are seen from above on the figure 9 ) and a simple folding operation for the raised position of the boxes 3 provides a package 1 ready to use, as visible on the figure 1 .
- Packaging 1 can thus advantageously be delivered according to packages in which the glued and flattened blanks 34 are superimposed.
- Packing 1 is suitable for a packaging process in which the glass 18 is deposited on the bottom panel 2 and the boxes 3 are raised (see figures 1 and 3 ), the flaps 4, 5 are folded and the closure panel 6 put in place to lead to the closed packaging of the figure 2 .
- a package 1 with a bottom panel 2 square side approximately equal to the diameter 18. The latter thus fits into the openings 15 ( figure 1 ), by pushing the wedging tongues 20, 21 towards the inside of the caissons 3 ( Figures 4, 5 and 6 ).
- the figure 6 is a schematic representation on which the outer side panel 10 of one of the boxes 3 is viewed in transparency so as to make visible the behavior of the wedging tongues 20, 21 during the insertion of the glass 18 into the openings 15.
- the curvature The result of the glass contour 18 is to push the two central tongues 20 further towards the inside of the box 3 than the two lateral tongues 21, this being made possible by the fact that these wedging tongues 20, 21 are devoid of attachment at the edge 16 of the opening 15 flush with the bottom panel 2.
- the Figures 4 and 5 show the position of the tabs 20, 21 with respect to the glass 18 in a view along the longitudinal axis of the boxes 3. It appears that the central locking tongues 20 of the boxes 3 stall the glass 18 according to one of its diameters, in s
- the lateral locking tongues 21, for their part, also position themselves by adapting to the curvature of the glass 18 and exert wedging by the opposite pressure of each pair. corresponding tabs 20, 21 facing each box 3.
- the lateral tabs 21 also exert a retention of the glass 18 in the case of translation in the longitudinal direction of the boxes 3 since their lateral edges abut laterally against the outline of the glass 18, at the place where the latter sinks deeper towards the central tongues 20.
- the function of pressurizing the glass 18 by the pairs of tabs 20, 21 opposite each box 3 is provided jointly by elastic properties of the tongue material 20, 21 and that by the configuration of the caissons 3 triangular profile 8 allowing the free end 26 of a tongue, when it is urged towards the inside of the box 3, to go up along the inner wall of the outer side panel 10 and possibly to be bent against it (see Figures 4 and 5 ), the pre-bends 25 distributed along the tongue 20; 21 favoring this behavior.
- the package described herein may also be used to package and stall a circular-contoured object other than a non-cut-off spectacle lens, for example another type of optical lens.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a protective and cushioning packaging suitable for packaging objects with a circular contour, and more specifically to an object of size and shape comparable to that of a finished or semi-finished spectacle lens.
A "semi-finished" glass is a spectacle lens whose only convex surface is finished (machined) in series production.
Such a glass is sent by the manufacturer to a "prescription laboratory" which is responsible for machining the concave face according to the needs of the wearer.
When shipping this glass, it is essential to stall the glass to protect this finished face by avoiding contact, especially in the case of a glass organic material that has the distinction of scratching very easily.
In the case of a finished glass, on the other hand, both sides, concave and convex, are finished in series production.
This glass is sent by the manufacturer to the optician who overflows (detour) depending on the shape of the frame selected by the wearer and morphological parameters specific to the wearer (pupillary distance, position of the pupils in relation to the circles of the mount).
Là aussi, il est important de protéger les faces du verre, dans la mesure où elles sont finies (c'est-à-dire usinées et le plus souvent munies de couches de traitements, par exemple, anti-abrasion, anti-reflets ou anti-salissures).Again, it is important to protect the faces of the glass, to the extent that they are finished (that is to say machined and most often provided with layers of treatments, for example, anti-abrasion, anti-reflective or anti-fouling).
Packages intended to ensure such packaging are known from the prior art.
The receptacle of this packaging-drawer receives the spectacle lens on its bottom panel and in the aforementioned cutouts, and is inserted into the outer casing, the whole forming a box suitable for transport.
These packs are satisfactory in achieving the function for which they are provided.
The invention is nevertheless intended to improve them, particularly as regards the setting of the glass.
- un panneau de fond ;
- deux caissons comportant chacun un panneau latéral externe et un panneau latéral interne qui comporte une ouverture pour insertion au moins partielle de l'objet, chaque caisson étant rattaché par une articulation au panneau de fond le long d'un respectif de deux bords opposés, chaque caisson étant adapté à admettre une position abattue dans laquelle le panneau latéral externe s'étend dans le prolongement du panneau de fond, et une position relevée dans laquelle le panneau latéral externe est dressé par rapport au panneau de fond ;
- deux rabats rattaché chacun par une articulation au panneau de fond le long d'un respectif de deux bords opposés, adjacents aux caissons, chaque rabat étant adapté à admettre une position abattue dans laquelle il s'étend dans le prolongement du panneau de fond, et une position relevée dans laquelle le rabat est dressé par rapport au panneau de fond, contre les extrémités longitudinales des caissons ;
- a bottom panel;
- two boxes each having an outer side panel and an inner side panel which has an opening for at least partial insertion of the object, each box being attached by a hinge to the bottom panel along a respective one of two opposite edges, each box being adapted to admit a slaughtered position in which the outer side panel extends in the extension of the bottom panel, and a raised position in which the outer side panel is erected relative to the bottom panel;
- two flaps each attached by a hinge to the bottom panel along a respective two opposite edges, adjacent to the boxes, each flap being adapted to admit a slaughtered position in which it extends in the extension of the bottom panel, and a raised position in which the flap is erected relative to the bottom panel, against the longitudinal ends of the boxes;
- means for holding the boxes and the flaps in the raised position; characterized in that, for each box, said outer side panel has a first end connected by a hinge to the bottom panel, a second end connected by a hinge to a first end of an intermediate panel, the latter also comprising a second end connected by a hinge at a first end of said inner side panel, the latter also having a second end connected by a hinge to the bottom panel, along the hinge between the first end of the outer side panel and the bottom panel ; and in that at least two wedge tongues are disposed in the opening being attached to the inner side panel exclusively by an end opposite to the bottom panel, said tongues being juxtaposed.
The packaging according to the invention thus optimally stalls and transports objects of different shapes and thicknesses. It is not necessary, for a given diameter, to have packaging references specific to each type of circular object by virtue of the arrangement of the locking tabs and boxes providing a modulable holding means.
This packaging can, moreover, be made in one piece which makes its production and use in production easier and less expensive.
Preferably, the embodiments and additional features set forth below are implemented because of their simplicity and convenience.
According to one embodiment, in each opening made in the inner side panels, four locking tabs are arranged, each locking tab being independent of the others and attached to the bottom panel by one of its ends.

In addition, the intermediate panel may comprise a longitudinal pre-fold, which may be arranged substantially along the longitudinal median of the intermediate panel.
Furthermore, the width of the outer side panel may be substantially equal to the width of the inner side panel.
Also in another embodiment, the means for holding the boxes and the flaps in the raised position include means associated with the flaps and boxes to maintain the boxes in the raised position when the flaps are in the raised position and means to maintain the flaps vis-à-vis, against the boxes.
These means for holding the boxes and the flaps in the raised position may comprise a closing panel hinged to the free edge of one of the flaps, this closure panel may comprise means of attachment to the boxes and the opposite flap, so as to be adapted to take a closed position in which it is parallel to the bottom panel and positioned against the boxes and the free edge of the opposite flap, when they are in the raised position.
The closure panel may comprise, beyond a pre-fold and from its end opposite the flap on which it is hinged, a foldback panel adapted to be superimposed on the opposite flap when the closure panel is in the position of closing.
The attachment means mentioned may comprise fastening tabs protruding from the edges of the closure panel, the boxes and the opposite flap may include notches adapted to cooperate with these fastening tabs.
Finally, the flaps may each be attached to the adjacent longitudinal ends of the boxes by two gussets.
- un panneau de fond ;

This
The length of the
In addition to the pre-folds 22 attaching them to the
It will be noted that this movement induces an elastic deformation of the locking
Similarly, the
In the raised position, the
The
There is also provided a

The blank 34 also includes, extending from the
On the

The wedging of the
It will be appreciated that the package described herein may also be used to package and stall a circular-contoured object other than a non-cut-off spectacle lens, for example another type of optical lens.
