Description

The present invention relates to a sorting device having at least two sorting cells arranged substantially one above the other for picking up a sorted material, a horizontal loading level associated with the sorting cell and having a driving unit to which the sorting cells are attached, for moving the sorting cells from the respective loading level to one of the sorting cell associated horizontal rejection level, such as off US-A 4,867,299 known.

For performing sorting tasks, especially in commerce and industry, sorting devices, so-called sorters, are known which transport a sorted material controlled from a loading level to a specific discharge level. For this purpose, the sorters usually have units that run as a driving unit in a guide system, for example a rail system. For receiving a sorted good a sorting cell, for example, a tilting tray or a horizontally extending conveyor belt as a so-called cross belt attached to the driving unit. In order to transport a plurality of sorting items with a driving unit, high-performance sorting systems are known in which a plurality of sorting cells are arranged one above the other on a driving unit. The vertical distance between two superimposed cells then substantially corresponds to the vertical distance and the level of the loading devices and the sorting targets. Such sorting destinations are, for example, levels of a shelving system into which the sorted item is to be classified. Thus, in the known high-performance sorting systems, for example with three sorting cells arranged one above the other, the loading of a driving unit can take place in three levels, and the sorted items are then delivered to the sorting destinations in these three levels. The loading level and the discharge level are permanently assigned to each other.

Also known are sorting devices with level change possibility. Here, a driving unit picks up a sorted item in a plane and can deliver it in several levels by means of a corresponding lifting mechanism, which can be moved to different levels in a controlled manner. The more output levels that can be controlled, the more sorting destinations can be achieved by such a known device, but the higher the technical complexity for this level change both with regard to the control and with respect to the device kinematics.

In contrast, the invention has for its object to provide a sorting device that allows the distribution of sorted material to several levels with a simple structure.

This object is achieved by a sorting device with the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments are specified in the subclaims.

A sorting device according to the invention has at least two sorting cells arranged essentially one above the other, each of which can receive at least one sorted item from a loading device. Furthermore, the sorting device according to the invention has a drive unit on which the sorting cells are mounted and which can move the sorting cells from the respective loading device to a discharge level. According to the invention, the vertical distance between two stacked sorting cells is equal to the vertical distance between two superimposed loading planes and equal to the vertical distance between the upper and the lower plane of at least a first and a second pair of stacked discharge planes, and leave the two sorting cells so spaced move with the vertical distance, which remains the same, together from the level of a plane pair to the level of another pair of planes.

Thus, according to the number of layer pairs arranged one above the other, the sorting cells arranged one above the other can distribute their transported sorting items to just as many sorting destination levels.

In this case, two sorting cells arranged one above the other are preferably associated with exactly two pairs of stacking discharge planes (with the spacing of the sorting cells between their respective upper and lower planes), and thus the lifting height of the jointly vertically movable sorting cells is preferably equal to the vertical distance between the plane pairs. In other words, these sorting cells can each be moved between the level of an upper associated horizontal ejection level and a lower associated horizontal ejection level.

A particularly preferred simple construction results when the stacking planes arranged one above the other are vertically equidistant from one another and the vertical spacing of the sorting cells mounted on the driving unit one above the other twice as large as the vertical distance between discard levels. Thus, for a certain number of uniformly spaced discharge planes only exactly half the number of sorting cells is required, which are then each movable between the level of a first associated ejection level and the level of a second adjacent associated ejection level.

The dumping planes may be levels of a racking system, for example, in the aisles of which the driving unit can be moved, for example, along rails which, for example, are mounted under the ceiling of a building receiving hall. The sorting cell can have a tilting tray which is suitable for many different goods for loading, transport and discharge at the sorting destination. The sorting cell can also have a conveyor belt, in particular a transverse belt, which preferably runs horizontally transversely to the direction of travel of the drive unit and thus the sorted goods of a loading level, for example, a high rack on which the driving unit passes receives and after the transport in a dumping level, for example, the rack system again sets off.

Preferably, the sorting device has at least one second driving unit with sorting cells, which are fixedly mounted on the levels of the superimposed loading planes and / or discharge planes and are not movable. This saves manufacturing costs due to reduced technical effort. However, these drive units with level-adjusted sorting cells are sufficient for transporting sorted goods, in which a level change is not required, and can be used controlled by a controller accordingly.

The invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Figur 1a zeigt eine erfindungsgemäße Sortiervorrichtung in schematischer Schnittansicht, bei der jeweils zwei der übereinander angeordneten Sortierzellen auf das Niveau eines Abwurfebenenpaares gefahren sind, FIG. 1a shows a sorting device according to the invention in a schematic sectional view, in which in each case two of the stacked sorting cells are driven to the level of a Abwurfebenenpaares,

Figur 1b zeigt die Sortiervorrichtung nach Figur 1a, bei der die zweiten übereinander angeordneten Sortierzellen auf das Niveau einer zweiten Abwurfebenen gefahren sind, FIG. 1b shows the sorter after FIG. 1a in which the second sorting cells arranged one above the other are driven to the level of a second discharge level,

Figur 2 zeigt eine Seitenansicht einer Sortiervorrichtung mit zwei Fahreinheiten mit vertikal verfahrbaren Sortierzellen und zwei Fahreinheiten mit vertikal fixierten Sortierzellen in einander abwechselnder Reihenfolge in schematischer Seitenansicht und FIG. 2 shows a side view of a sorting device with two driving units with vertically movable sorting cells and two driving units with vertically fixed sorting cells in alternating order in a schematic side view and

FIG. 3 shows a very schematic side view of another embodiment of a sorting device according to the invention.

FIG. 3 shows a target system 2 with a total of nine Sortierabwurfeen. 4 Further shows FIG. 3 a driving unit 6 , on which three sorting cells 8 are arranged one above the other. The driving unit 6 is movably mounted on a rail 10 under the roof 12 of a hall. The vertical distance between the upper two sorting cells 8 is equal to the vertical distance between the upper and lower levels of a first pair 14 , a second pair 16 and a third pair 18 of stacked discharge planes 4 . The sorting cells can be moved vertically with a constant vertical distance from each other, in such a way that the two upper sorting cells from the level of a plane pair 14 to the level of one of the other pairs of planes 16 or 18 is movable. The same applies to the two lower sorting cells and their distance from each other with respect to lower arranged on the shelf 2 Abwurfeenen pairs 20, 22, 24th

With a view to FIGS. 1a and b is a driving unit 6 ' recognizable, which is also horizontally movable along a rail 10' . Three sorting cells 8 ' in the form of transverse belts are mounted one above the other at the same vertical distances and according to FIG. 1b telescopically downwards from the driving unit 6 ' retractable. The discharge planes 4 'of a shelving system 2' , which slope away from the driving unit 6 'and extend parallel to one another here, have vertically equal distances from one another. The vertical distances of the discharge level 4 ' are half as large as the vertical distances of the sorting cells 8' from each other. Thus, the sorting cells with a constant vertical distance from each other can perform a lifting movement in each case between the level of an upper ejection level (position according to A and the respective lower adjacent ejection level) in the position according to FIG. 1b is reached. For example, programmed by a computer control accordingly, each of the sorting cells 8 'can then actuate the cross belt in the direction indicated by the horizontal arrow to the left or right, thus moving the sorting belt (not shown) transported on the cross belt of the sorting cell to the left or right in the ejection level 4 'of the shelving system 2' drop. The lifting movement of the sorting cells 8 ' between the upper position according to FIG. 1a and the lower position allows a simplified control and kinematics of the lifting mechanism, because only a movement between an upper and a lower end position, for example, against stops (not shown), which can be designed structurally simple, without necessary intermediate positioning is required.

In FIG. 2 It can be seen how four driving units 6 ', 6 " are movable horizontally on a rail 10' horizontally, wherein each second driving unit 6" sorting cells 8 " , which are fixed to the driving unit 6" fixed vertically, while the sorting cells 8 ' at the remaining drive units 6 ' with a constant vertical distance from each other are moved vertically.
