Definitions

  • the invention relates to a leaf for overhead door erasure ceiling and vertical travel, a door comprising such a door leaf, and a method of assembly of such a leaf.

  • the leaf can be relatively long to mount.
  • Sectional doors are also known, whose leaf is composed of panels extending horizontally - when the leaf is in the closed position - over the entire width of said leaf. Two adjacent panels are hinged to each other.
  • the leaf For the opening of the door, the leaf is moved vertically, the upper panel pivoting from the vertical position to the horizontal position, while the next panel remains vertical. This is made possible by the joints between successive panels. Successively, the following panels - from the upper part of the leaf to its lower part - will make the same movement until the leaf is substantially flat and horizontal.
  • Each of the horizontal panels has a substantially planar inner wall and outer wall defining a space containing an insulating material.
  • Sectional doors of this type therefore have very good insulating and sealing properties.
  • DE 19 56 744 U and or DE 83 05 964 U describe a leaf for up-and-down door with ceiling clearing and vertical clearance, in which the leaf can be moved between a closed position where the leaf is substantially vertical and an open position or the leaf is substantially horizontal.
  • This leaf is of the type comprising first a frame adapted to cooperate with the masonry of the building intended to receive the leaf.
  • This leaf is of the type then comprising at least two panels related to the frame in question, each panel extending vertically, when the leaf is in the closed position, over substantially the entire height of the leaf, the panels being placed next to each other over substantially the entire width of the leaf and assembled to each other.
  • Each panel is self-supporting, so that the leaf is devoid of any stiffness or reinforcement structure other than the frame. It is also modular, dimensionally and functionally, which allows, by selection and assembly, to cover a wide range of leaves.
  • DE 16 59 848 A discloses a door panel for a swing door which has a substantially flat inner wall and outer wall, defining a space containing an insulating material. Each panel is self-supporting, so that the leaf is devoid of any stiffness or reinforcement structure other than the frame.

Abstract

The tilting door (9) has a frame (13) fitted to the masonry structure (27), to hold at least two door panels (18-20). Each panel has a vertical alignment when the door is closed, to cover the door height, vertically over each other across the door width. Each panel has an inner (23) and an outer (24) wall, with a gap between them to be filled with insulation material. Each panel is self-supporting, to give a rigid and reinforced structure apart from the frame.

Description

The invention relates to a leaf for overhead door erasure ceiling and vertical travel, a door comprising such a door leaf, and a method of assembly of such a leaf.

A leaf of this type generally comprises a frame adapted to cooperate with the masonry of a building for receiving said leaf, the frame itself comprising two uprights and two crosspieces. The leaf can be moved between a closed position - in which it is substantially vertical - and an open position - in which it is substantially horizontal.

In addition, the doors of overhead doors often include a door that allows a user to enter the building in a simple way, without having to open the entire leaf by tilting.

  • au moins un premier profilé s'étendant verticalement à distance d'un montant du cadre sur toute la hauteur du vantail ;
  • un châssis, disposé sur sensiblement toute la hauteur du vantail, entre un montant du cadre et le premier profilé, le châssis étant destiné à recevoir le portillon ;
It follows that, in the prior art, the doors of tilting doors provided with a door include, in addition to the frame:
  • at least one first section extending vertically away from a frame upright over the entire height of the leaf;
  • a frame, arranged on substantially the entire height of the leaf, between a frame of the frame and the first section, the frame being intended to receive the gate;
  • at least one second section extending horizontally at mid height of the door between a frame upright and the first section, in the portion of the leaf not comprising the door.

Panels consisting of a single sheet, and extending over substantially the entire height of the leaf, are fixed to the supporting structure consisting of the frame, the frame and the first and second sections, to form the leaf. A first panel, fixed on the frame, forms the gate, a second panel, fixed on the frame and the first and second sections forming the rest of the leaf.

The leaf thus produced has several disadvantages. In particular, it has no property of insulation or sealing, and its appearance is little satisfactory, since the reinforcing structures are apparent. In addition, the leaf can be relatively long to mount.

Sectional doors are also known, whose leaf is composed of panels extending horizontally - when the leaf is in the closed position - over the entire width of said leaf. Two adjacent panels are hinged to each other.

For the opening of the door, the leaf is moved vertically, the upper panel pivoting from the vertical position to the horizontal position, while the next panel remains vertical. This is made possible by the joints between successive panels. Successively, the following panels - from the upper part of the leaf to its lower part - will make the same movement until the leaf is substantially flat and horizontal.

Each of the horizontal panels has a substantially planar inner wall and outer wall defining a space containing an insulating material.

Sectional doors of this type therefore have very good insulating and sealing properties.

However, they are more expensive than the overhead doors, in particular because they require joints between two adjacent panels. In addition, because of the horizontal positioning of the panels, it is difficult to provide a gate without implementing relatively complex mechanical devices.

DE 19 56 744 U and or DE 83 05 964 U describe a leaf for up-and-down door with ceiling clearing and vertical clearance, in which the leaf can be moved between a closed position where the leaf is substantially vertical and an open position or the leaf is substantially horizontal. This leaf is of the type comprising first a frame adapted to cooperate with the masonry of the building intended to receive the leaf. This leaf is of the type then comprising at least two panels related to the frame in question, each panel extending vertically, when the leaf is in the closed position, over substantially the entire height of the leaf, the panels being placed next to each other over substantially the entire width of the leaf and assembled to each other. Each panel is self-supporting, so that the leaf is devoid of any stiffness or reinforcement structure other than the frame. It is also modular, dimensionally and functionally, which allows, by selection and assembly, to cover a wide range of leaves.

DE 16 59 848 A discloses a door panel for a swing door which has a substantially flat inner wall and outer wall, defining a space containing an insulating material. Each panel is self-supporting, so that the leaf is devoid of any stiffness or reinforcement structure other than the frame.

The object of the invention is to provide a door leaf that does not have the drawbacks of the prior art.

  • un cadre apte à coopérer avec la maçonnerie d'un bâtiment destiné à recevoir ledit vantail ;
For this purpose, and according to a first aspect, the invention relates to a leaf of the type comprising:
  • a frame adapted to cooperate with the masonry of a building intended to receive said leaf;
  • at least two panels connected to said frame, each panel extending vertically, when the leaf is in the closed position, over substantially the entire height of said leaf, the panels being placed next to each other over substantially the entire width of the leaf and assembled each other.

Each panel has a substantially planar inner wall and outer wall delimiting a space containing an insulating material, and each panel is self-supporting, so that the leaf has no stiffness or reinforcement structure other than the frame, and is furthermore modular , dimensionally and functionally, which allows, by selection and assembly, to cover a wide range of leaves corresponding substantially to all the demands and needs of users.

According to the invention, the lateral edges of the inner and outer walls of each of the panels have folds towards the inside of said panel and the connecting profiles are able to cooperate with said folds.

The leaf according to the invention thus has very good insulating and sealing properties, while being inexpensive, easy to set up and able to meet the expectations of users since it requires only a few blanks of the panels. , less constraining assembly steps, no reinforcement structure and a simple operation of selecting and assembling the panels to cover the expectations of users.

In addition, the absence of reinforcing structure contributes to considerably improve the aesthetics of the overhead door.

Finally, the fact of making vertical panels can provide for the establishment of a gate at low cost and without major work.

According to the invention, a longitudinal assembly section is bonded to each lateral edge of each of the panels, an assembly section connected to a panel being able to cooperate with an adjacent assembly section connected to the adjacent panel, or with the frame of the leaf, so as to allow the assembly of the panels and the framework of the leaf.

The frame and / or the assembly profiles may include grooves adapted to receive sealing means. These sealing means comprise, for example, bi-material seals comprising at least one part made of rigid material intended to be inserted into the grooves of the frame and / or of the assembly profiles, and at least one portion of flexible material capable of coming resting on the surface facing said grooves.

According to one possible embodiment, the leaf comprises three panels, the width of each panel being substantially equal to one third of the total width of the leaf.

One of the panels is adapted to form a gate, said gate being pivotally mounted to a neighboring panel or to the door frame and may include a three-point lock.

Because of the modular nature of the leaf according to the invention, each panel is interchangeable with the other panels of the leaf, whether gate or not. This therefore makes it possible to manufacture only one type of panel for each type of leaf, which makes the method of producing the leaf very economical. The realization of the gate is easily done by combining the type of assembly profiles adapted to one of the panels and by installing for example a three-point lock on this panel.

According to other features, the panels comprise covers intended to cover the upper and lower edges of said panels.

For example, the inner and outer walls of each panel are made of sheet metal and the insulating material is a polyurethane foam.

  • un encadrement destiné à être fixé à la maçonnerie d'un bâtiment, ledit encadrement comportant deux montants sensiblement verticaux et une traverse supérieure sensiblement horizontale, et délimitant une baie ;
According to a second aspect, the invention relates to an overhead door with ceiling and vertical deflection, comprising:
  • a frame intended to be fixed to the masonry of a building, said frame comprising two substantially vertical uprights and a substantially horizontal upper cross member and delimiting a bay;
  • and a leaf as previously described, said leaf being connected to the frame by a tilting device and being intended to close said bay when in the closed position.

  • on réalise au moins deux panneaux ;
  • on place les panneaux les uns à côté des autres et on assemble les panneaux adjacents deux à deux le long de leurs bords latéraux ;
  • on fixe les panneaux au cadre.
Finally, according to a third aspect, the invention relates to a method of assembling such a leaf in which:
  • at least two panels are made;
  • the panels are placed next to one another and the adjacent panels are assembled two by two along their lateral edges;
  • we fix the panels to the frame.

  • on assemble les parois intérieure et extérieure du panneau et les profilés d'assemblage, en insérant les bords latéraux des parois dans lesdits profilés d'assemblage ;
  • on injecte le matériau isolant dans l'espace délimité par lesdites parois intérieure et extérieure du panneau ;
The realization of a panel comprises for example the following steps:
  • assembling the inner and outer walls of the panel and the connecting profiles, inserting the side edges of the walls in said connecting profiles;
  • the insulating material is injected into the space defined by said inner and outer walls of the panel;
  • the covers are fixed on the upper and lower edges of the panel.

According to a possible embodiment, two adjacent panels are assembled to one another by interlocking adjacent assembly profiles attached to the side edges of the panels.

  • la figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'une porte basculante selon l'invention, le vantail étant dans une position intermédiaire entre la position fermée et la position ouverte ;

We first refer to Figures 1 and 2 which represent a door 1 tilting, erasing the ceiling and vertical travel, for example a garage door.

We define a first direction D1, substantially vertical, with respect to which will be used the terms "longitudinal", "height", "lower", "higher".

The door 1 comprises a frame 2, intended to be fixed to the masonry of a building, said frame 2 itself comprising two vertical uprights 3, 4 and a substantially horizontal upper cross member 5 and a threshold bar 6, fixed on the ground, between the lower ends of the two uprights 3, 4.

We define a second direction D2, substantially parallel to the cross members 5, 6, with respect to which will be used the terms "lateral", "transverse", "width", "left", "right", and a third direction D3 such that (D1, D2, D3) forms an orthogonal reference.

The door 1 is also provided with two guide rails 7, 8, extending in the direction D3 from the upper cross member 5 and each of the uprights 3, 4. The guide rails 7, 8 are intended to be fixed to the ceiling at inside the building.

The door 1 defines a bay and further comprises a leaf 9, linked to the door 1 by a tilting device having side arms 10 and a mechanical system provided with rollers 11 adapted to cooperate with the guide rails 7, 8.

The leaf 9 is able to be moved by tilting between a closed position - in which it is substantially vertical and closes the bay ( figure 2 ) - and an open position - in which it is substantially horizontal and parallel to the guide rails 7, 8, near the ceiling. The door 1 comprises a lock 12 point for allowing the locking of the leaf 9 in the closed position.

The balancing of the door 1 is made by two springs not shown.

The leaf 9 comprises a frame 13 adapted to cooperate with the fixed frame 2 of the door 1. The frame 13 of the leaf 9 comprises two vertical uprights 14, 15, and two horizontal crosspieces, respectively upper 16 and lower 17. The frame 13 is for example made of hollow section metal sections closed.

Chaque panneau 18, 19, 20 s'étend verticalement, lorsque le vantail 9 est en position fermée, sur sensiblement toute la hauteur du vantail 9, à l'intérieur du cadre 13.The leaf 9 comprises three panels 18, 19, 20 connected to the frame 13 and placed next to each other so as to cover substantially the entire width of the leaf 9, inside the frame 13. The width of each panel 18, 19, 20 is substantially equal to one third of the total width of the leaf 9. Each panel 18, 19, 20 extends vertically, when the leaf 9 is in the closed position, over substantially the entire height of the leaf 9, inside the frame 13.

According to other embodiments not shown, the leaf 9 could comprise a different number of panels.

L'un des panneaux situé à une extrémité latérale du vantail 9 est articulé au cadre 13 du vantail 9 via des paumelles 21 et muni d'une poignée 22, et forme ainsi un portillon 18.One of the panels located at one lateral end of the leaf 9 is hinged to the frame 13 of the leaf 9 via hinges 21 and provided with a handle 22, and thus forms a gate 18.

La paroi extérieure 24 peut comporter des motifs emboutis (voir figure 1).Each panel 18, 19, 20 - including the gate 18 - comprises, as illustrated in FIG. figure 7 , an inner wall 23 and an outer wall 24 substantially flat, made of lacquered sheet. The outer wall 24 may comprise embossed patterns (see figure 1 ).

The inner 23 and outer 24 walls delimit between them a space containing a thermally insulating material and / or sound (not shown), such as a polyurethane foam injected between the two walls 23, 24, or fibers.

L'épaisseur d'un panneau 18, 19, 20 est de l'ordre de 20 à 30 mm, notamment 21 mm.The thickness of the inner 23 and outer 24 walls is of the order of 0.4 to 0.6 mm. The thickness of a panel 18, 19, 20 is of the order of 20 to 30 mm, in particular 21 mm.

It should be noted that the different elements of the figure 7 were represented without regard to their actual thickness, to facilitate understanding.

The panels 18, 19, 20 further comprise covers 25 intended to cover the upper and lower edges of said panels 18, 19, 20, as will be described below with reference to FIGS. figures 10 and 11 .

The assembly profiles 26 are made of sheet metal laauée, and are intended on the one hand to contain the foam polyurethane and secondly to allow the assembly of two panels 18, 19, 20 adjacent, or the assembly of a panel 18, 19, 20 to the frame 13.

Le portillon 18, réalisé à partir d'un panneau isolant tel que précédemment décrit, est également dépourvu de structure de renfort, telle qu'un châssis fixé au cadre 13 du vantail 9.The assembly profiles 26 thus incorporate mechanical assembly functions, as well as sealing functions, and allow simplified management of the lateral edges of the walls of the panels 18, 19, 20. Each panel 18, 19, 20 is self-supporting , so that the leaf 9 is devoid of stiffness or reinforcement structure other than the frame 13, such as longitudinal or transverse profiles. The gate 18, made from an insulating panel as previously described, is also devoid of a reinforcing structure, such as a frame fixed to the frame 13 of the leaf 9.

The panels 18, 19, 20 are modular in terms of width, height, and side features. Thus, the provision of a limited number of panels 18, 19, 20 makes it possible, by selection and assembly, to cover a wide range of leaves, corresponding to almost all the requests and needs of the users.

On se reportera aux figures 3 à 9.We now describe the assembly of the panels 18, 19, 20 between them and the frame 13, as well as the different types of assembly profiles 26 provided for this purpose, depending on the position of the panels 18, 19, 20 in the leaf 9. Reference is made to Figures 3 to 9 .

The figure 3 is a schematic view in cross section, showing the gate 18 and the two other panels 19, 20, the frame 13 of the leaf 9, the fixed frame 2 of the door 1, and the masonry 27 of a building receiving the door 1. On the figure 3 the inside I and outside E of the building are also indicated.

L'épaisseur des différents profilés d'assemblage est de l'ordre de 0,5 à 1 mm.The invention provides for producing a leaf 9 using a reduced number of assembly profiles 26, in order to limit manufacturing and storage costs. Thus, in the illustrated embodiment, only four types of different joining profiles 26 are required. The joining profiles have complementary shapes so that they can be nested within each other to the assembly of the various constituent parts of the leaf 9. The thickness of the various assembly profiles is of the order of 0.5 to 1 mm.

Each of the four types of joining profiles 26 provided by the invention are successively described.

A first type of assembly profile 26a ( figures 4 and 9 ) has, in cross-section, the general shape of an H, comprising a substantially median bar 28 and two wings 29, 30 integral with the bar 28, extending from the ends of said bar 28 perpendicularly to the bar 28.

La première aile 29 comprend :

  • une première partie 31, solidaire de la barre 28 et s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement à celle ci ;
The first wing 29 comprises:
  • a first portion 31 secured to the bar 28 and extending substantially perpendicular thereto;
  • a second part 32 secured to the first part 31 and extending substantially parallel to the latter part on the outside of the H, so as to form a fold, of greater length than the length of the first part 31.

La deuxième aile 30 comprend :

  • une première partie 33, solidaire de la barre 28 et s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement à celle ci à l'opposé de la première partie 31 de la première aile 29 ;
  • une deuxième partie 34, solidaire de la première partie 33 et s'étendant sensiblement parallèle à cette dernière du côté de l'extérieur du H, dans la direction opposée à la première partie 33, de façon à former un repli, la longueur de cette partie étant sensiblement identique à la longueur de la deuxième partie 32 de la première aile 29 ;
The second wing 30 comprises:
  • a first portion 33, integral with the bar 28 and extending substantially perpendicularly thereto opposite the first portion 31 of the first flange 29;
  • a second portion 34 secured to the first portion 33 and extending substantially parallel to the latter portion on the outside of the H, in the direction opposite to the first portion 33, so as to form a fold, the length of this part being substantially identical to the length of the second portion 32 of the first wing 29;
  • a third part 35, integral with the second part 34 and extending substantially parallel to the latter part on the outside of the H, so as to form a fold, of length substantially identical to the length of the second part 34.

The first type of assembly profile 26a can be used for assembling a panel 18, 19, 20 to the frame 13, whether or not the door 18. The first type of assembly profile 26a can be used for fastening the hinges 21.

A second type of assembly profile 26b ( figures 5 , 6 ) has, in cross section, the general shape of a U, comprising a first and a second substantially parallel wings 36, 37 extending substantially perpendicularly to a base 38 which they are integral. The length of the first flange 36 is smaller than that of the second flange 37, for example of the order of half.

The second type of joining profile 26b can be used at the junction between the door 18 and the adjacent panel 19, the relative length of the first and second flanges 36, 37 corresponding to the difference in width between the inner walls 23 and 24 of the door 18 and to ensure the support of the door 18 on the panel 19 adjacent. This second type of assembly profile 26b is not necessary if the leaf 9 does not have a gate 18.

A third type of assembly profile 26c ( figures 6 , 7, 8 ) has generally, in cross section, the shape of a U comprising a base 39 and a first and a second flange 40, 41 integral with the base 39, and extending in a general direction perpendicular to that of the base 39.

La première aile 40 comprend :

  • une première partie 42, solidaire de la base 39 et s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement à celle ci ;
The first wing 40 comprises:
  • a first portion 42 integral with the base 39 and extending substantially perpendicularly thereto;
  • a second portion 43 secured to the first portion 42 and extending substantially parallel to the latter on the outside of the U, so as to form a fold.

La longueur totale de la première aile 40 est sensiblement égale à trois fois la longueur de la première aile 36 du deuxième type de profilé d'assemblage 26b, la longueur de la première partie 42 étant sensiblement égale à deux fois la longueur de la première aile 36 du troisième type de profilé d'assemblage 26c.The total length of the first flange 40 is substantially equal to three times the length of the first flange 36 of the second type of assembly section 26b, the length of the first portion 42 being substantially equal to twice the length of the first flange 36 of the third type of joining profile 26c.

La deuxième aile 41 comprend :

  • une première partie 44, solidaire de la base 39 et s'étendant dans une direction sensiblement perpendiculaire à celle de la base 39 dans le même sens que la première partie 42 de la première aile 40. Une gorge 45 est prévue dans la première partie 44. La gorge 45 s'étend selon la direction longitudinale du profilé d'assemblage 26c et est ouverte vers l'extérieur dudit profilé d'assemblage 26c, à proximité de la base 39. La gorge 45 est destinée à recevoir des moyens d'étanchéité ;
The second wing 41 comprises:
  • a first part 44, integral with the base 39 and extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to that of the base 39 in the same direction as the first portion 42 of the first flange 40. A groove 45 is provided in the first part 44 The groove 45 extends in the longitudinal direction of the connecting profile 26c and is open towards the outside of said connecting section 26c, close to the base 39. The groove 45 is intended to receive sealing means ;
  • a second portion 46 secured to the first portion 44 and extending substantially parallel thereto on the outside of the U, so as to form a fold.

The distance between the base 39 and the junction between the first portion 44 and the second portion 46 of the second flange 41 is substantially equal to the length of the first portion 42 of the first flange 40.

The third type of joining profile 26c can be used at the junction between two panels 18, 19, 20 adjacent, one of said panels is a gate 18 or not.

A fourth type of assembly profile 26d ( figure 8 ) has, in cross section, the shape of a U comprising first and second wings 47, 48 substantially parallel and of the same length, extending substantially perpendicular to a base 49 which they are integral.

The fourth type of assembly profile 26d can be used for the assembly together of two panels 19, 20 other than the gate 18, as well as for the assembly of a panel 18, 19, 20 to the frame 13 (no represent).

In order to allow the assembly of two adjacent panels 18, 19, 20 together via the connecting profiles 26, the lateral end portions of the inner and outer walls 23 and 23 are folded towards the inside of the panel 18, 19, 20 (see in particular figure 7 ). Each wall 23, 24 thus has a fold 50 extending substantially parallel to the corresponding wall 23, 24, on the inside of the panel 18, 19, 20 when said walls 23, 24 are mounted.

The space formed between a fold 50 and the wall 23 , 24 corresponding is sufficient to allow the insertion of a wing or part of a wing of the fitting section 26 adequate. The distance between the inner and outer walls 23 of a panel 18, 19, 20 is thus determined by the dimensions of the connecting profiles 26, and in particular the base 38, 39, 49 - or the bar 28. said joining profiles 26.

L'assemblage du portillon 18 au cadre 13 est représenté sur le détail A de la figure 3 et sur la figure 4.The assembly of the gate 18 to the frame 13 is represented on the detail A of the figure 3 and on the figure 4 .

In the embodiment shown in the figures, the gate 18 is located on the left side of the leaf 9, when we look at the leaf 9 from the outside ( figure 1 ). The hinges 21 are then fixed to the left upright 14 of the frame 13. The door 18 is able to be open towards the outside E of the building. However, we can consider changing this configuration: gate placed on the right or the center of the leaf, gate pivotally mounted on another panel rather than the frame, door opening inward.

An assembly section of the first type 26a is provided at the edge of the door 18 facing the frame 13 of the leaf 9. It allows the attachment of the hinges 21 to the door 18, for example via screws, the hinges 21 being also attached to the frame 13.

The junction between the gate panel 18 and the adjacent panel 19 is shown in detail B of the figure 3 and on figures 5 and 6 .

Le montant 51 supporte les moyens de fermeture du portillon (poignée 22, pêne 52, etc.)An assembly section of the second type 26b is provided at the lateral edge of the gate 18 opposite the adjacent panel 19. On this connecting section 26b is fixed a longitudinal amount 51 (by interlocking and / or screwing), on substantially any the height of the gate 18. The amount 51 supports the closing means of the gate (handle 22, bolt 52, etc.)

An assembly section of the third type 26c is attached to the lateral edge of the panel 19 facing the door 18, the groove 45 being directed towards the second flange 37 of the connecting section 26b, so as to allow the positioning of a joint in said groove 45, in order to seal between the door 18 and the panel 19.

A striker 53 is fixed on the profile 26c, for example via screws not shown. The keeper 53, intended to receive the bolt 52, is a plastic part, molded, reversible. It allows, due to its geometry, an adjustment and an adaptation on the various profiles, that it is in central, high or low position (see figure 2 ).

The assembly between two adjacent panels 19, 20 - none forming a gate 18 - is represented on the detail C of the figure 3 and on the figure 8 .

At the side edge of the panel 19 opposite the panel 20 is fixed an assembly section of the third type 26c. At the side edge of the panel 20 is attached a connecting profile of the fourth type 26d, so that the opening of U is directed outwardly of the panel 20, that is to say to the adjacent panel 19. The joining profiles 26c and 26d are then nested one inside the other, their respective dimensions being provided for this purpose.

For this purpose, an assembly section of the first type 26a is attached to the lateral edge of the panel 20 facing the frame 13. A screw fixing (no shown) between the frame 13 and the connecting profile 26a is generally used.

The frame 13 of the leaf 9 is made from hollow metal sections whose wall thickness is of the order of 1 mm, and which have, in cross section, the overall shape of a parallelepiped. The frame 13 is further provided with two longitudinal grooves 58 disposed on a face of the frame intended to be placed facing the fixed frame 2 of the door 1, for the insertion of sealing means. In addition, the frame 13 is provided with a lip 59 projecting from the face of the frame 13 intended to be placed facing the panels 18, 19, 20, towards the inside of the leaf 9. The lip 59 is shaped so that to define a longitudinal groove 60 adapted to receive sealing means cooperating with the panels 18, 19, 20. In order to simplify manufacture, the uprights 14, 15 and the crosspieces 16, 17 of the frame 13 can be made from identical profiles.

The structure and the positioning of the means ensuring the lateral sealing between the frame 13 of the leaf 9 and the fixed frame 2 of the door 1 are now described with reference to the figures 3 and 4 .

  • une partie en matière rigide 61a dont une extrémité est destinée à être insérée dans une gorge 58 du cadre 13 du vantail 9 ou dans une gorge de l'encadrement 2 ;
In order to improve the seal, the sealing means are preferably bi-material joints 61, comprising:
  • a part of rigid material 61a whose end is intended to be inserted into a groove 58 of the frame 13 of the leaf 9 or in a groove of the frame 2;
  • a portion of flexible material 61b adapted to bear on a surface of the frame 2 or the frame 13, for example facing said grooves, so as to seal.

The seals 61 are thus placed on the uprights 3, 4 of the fixed frame or on the uprights 14, 15 of the frame 13 of the leaf 9.

Ces deux joints - placés sur l'encadrement 2 ou sur le cadre 13 - sont représentés superposés l'un à l'autre sur la figure 4.Due to the tilting of the leaf 9 during its opening and closing, the seals 61 fixed on the uprights 14, 15 of the frame 13 of the leaf 9 are arranged on the lower part of said uprights 14, 15, while the seals 61 fixed on the uprights 3, 4 of the frame 2 of the door 1 are arranged on the upper part of said uprights 3, 4. The lower and upper parts of the uprights meet at the point of tilting of the door 1. These two joints - placed on the frame 2 or on the frame 13 - are shown superimposed on each other on the figure 4 .

Thus, in the closed position of the leaf 9, the joints 61 are present over the entire height of the leaf 9.

As shown on the figure 3 , the rigid portion 61a of a seal 61 may comprise two projecting protuberances each capable of being inserted into a groove 58 of the frame 13, in order to ensure a better fixing of the seal 61.

On se réfère maintenant aux figures 10 et 11.We now refer to figures 10 and 11 .

As indicated previously, the gate 18 and the panels 19, 20 comprise covers 25 intended to cover their upper and lower slices.

The covers 25 are sections whose section is substantially U-shaped and comprises a base 62 and first and second wings 63, 64. The covers 25 are arranged in the direction D2, so that the wings 63 , 64 bear against the outer faces of the inner 23 and outer 24 walls of the panels 18, 19, 20, the base 62 of the U being substantially parallel to the plane (D2, D3).

For this purpose, the distance between the first and second wings 63, 64 of the U is greater than the thickness of a panel 18, 19, 20.

The first wing 63 - intended to be placed outside the building E - may have a fold 65 directed towards the base 62 of the U, inside said U. The fold 65 is substantially in contact with the first flange 63 , reinforcing the latter.

The figure 10 illustrates covers 25 cooperating with a panel 19, 20 other than the gate 18.

  • une première partie 66, solidaire de la base 62 et s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement à celle-ci, à distance de la paroi intérieure 23 du panneau 19, 20 ;
  • une deuxième partie 67, solidaire de la première partie 66, formant un décrochement et étant en contact avec la paroi intérieure 23 du panneau 19, 20, le long d'une surface sensiblement parallèle à la première partie 66 ;
  • une troisième partie 68 solidaire de la deuxième partie 67 et s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement à cette dernière, en s'écartant de la paroi intérieure 23 ;
In this case, the second wing 64 makes it possible to secure the panel 19, 20 to the frame 13 and has:
  • a first portion 66, integral with the base 62 and extending substantially perpendicularly thereto, away from the inner wall 23 of the panel 19, 20;
  • a second portion 67, integral with the first portion 66, forming a recess and being in contact with the inner wall 23 of the panel 19, 20, along a surface substantially parallel to the first portion 66;
  • a third portion 68 secured to the second portion 67 and extending substantially perpendicular thereto, away from the inner wall 23;
  • a fourth portion 69 integral with the third portion 68 and substantially parallel to the latter, the end of the fourth portion 69 being intended to bear against the inner wall 23.

The second part 67 can receive a screw 70 intended to fix the frame 13 of the leaf to the panel 19, 20.

A clearance j is arranged between the cover 13 and the panel 19, 20 so as to compensate for the thickness of the seal 71 housed in the groove 60 of the frame 13 and provided for the door 18 (see figure 11 ), so as to ensure an alignment of the panels 18, 19, 20.

The figure 11 illustrates caches 25 cooperating with the gate 18, which have a different shape of the covers 25 used for the other panels 19, 20.

The second wing 64 of the covers 25 provided to cooperate with the door 18 is substantially flat, without recess, and is intended to be in contact with the inner face 23 of the door 18. The width of the U is then slightly larger than the gate thickness 18.

La fonction des caches 25 est entre autres de protéger la mousse de polyuréthanne des panneaux 18, 19, 20 des intempéries (pluies, UV, etc.) au niveau des tranches supérieure et inférieure desdits panneaux 18, 19, 20.The function of the covers 25 is inter alia to protect the polyurethane foam panels 18, 19, 20 from the elements (rain, UV, etc.) at the upper and lower edges of said panels 18, 19, 20.

The sealing between the cross members 16, 17 of the frame 13 of the leaf 9 on the one hand and the upper cross member 5 and the threshold bar 6 of the fixed frame 2 on the other hand is also ensured by bi-material joints 72.

Such a seal 72 comprises a foot 73, rigid, capable of being inserted into a groove 58 of the frame 13, and a flexible portion 74, intended to bear on the upper crosspiece 5 or the threshold bar 6. The part flexible 74 is itself composed of a flexible lip 74a and a peelable lip 74b.

The entire periphery of the leaf 9 is thus provided with means ensuring sealing with the fixed frame 2.

The gate 18 comprises a three-point lock 75, to improve the security of the door 1. The three-point lock 75 can be fixed on the upright 51.

In the locking position, the upper and lower bolts of the three-point lock 75 cooperate with the lip 59 of the upper and lower crosspieces 16 of the frame 13. At the handle 22, the bolt 52 engages the keeper 53. According to a possible embodiment, the upper and lower bolts of the three point lock 75 can also cooperate with the latches 53 upper and lower (see figure 2 ).

On the figure 10 is also visible an element 76 of the lock a point 12 of the door 1, in the engagement position with the threshold bar 6 of the fixed frame 2 of the door 1, allowing the locking of the leaf 9 in the closed position.

On décrit enfin le procédé d'assemblage du vantail 9.Finally, the method of assembly of the leaf 9 is described.

  • on assemble les parois intérieure 23 et extérieure 24 du panneau 18, 19, 20 et les profilés d'assemblage 26, en insérant les bords latéraux des parois 23, 24 dans lesdits profilés d'assemblage 26 ;
  • on injecte le matériau isolant dans l'espace délimité par lesdites parois intérieure et extérieure 23, 24 du panneau 18, 19, 20. Des éléments d'obturation provisoires peuvent être prévus à cet effet ;
In a first step, each of the panels 18, 19, 20 is made as follows:
  • the inner and outer walls 24 of the panel 18, 19, 20 and the joining profiles 26 are assembled by inserting the side edges of the walls 23, 24 into said joining profiles 26;
  • the insulating material is injected into the space delimited by said inner and outer walls 23, 24 of the panel 18, 19, 20. Temporary sealing elements may be provided for this purpose;
  • the covers 25 are fixed on the upper and lower edges of the panel 18, 19, 20 by force-fitting or screwing, for example.

The expansion of the insulating material exerts a pressure on the walls 23, 24 and the connecting profiles 26, so that these different elements are perfectly maintained relative to each other.

In a second step, the panels 18, 19, 20 are placed next to one another and the adjacent panels 18, 19, 20 are assembled in pairs along their lateral edges, by fitting together the adjacent assembly profiles 26. attached to the side edges of the panels 18, 19, 20.

In a third step, the panels 18, 19, 20 are fixed to the frame 13. The various mechanical elements (locks, handles, etc.) are also put in place.

Finally, the leaf is associated with the fixed frame, via the tilting device.

The invention thus provides a leaf having a very good rigidity, without it being necessary to provide reinforcing elements other than the frame. In addition, the leaf can be easily assembled and is inexpensive. In addition, the leaf has very good insulation properties and a seal comparable to that of a sectional door thanks to the use of bi-material seals. Finally, the leaf has aesthetic characteristics quite satisfactory.
