Definitions
- the invention relates to a contact terminal for an insulated, multi-core electrical cable, especially a shape-coded Profile cable according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Shape-coded profile cables are used as bus lines or power lines used in machine controls to control actuators (solenoid valves and the like.) How to connect sensors with an interface. In addition to high mechanical loads, these profile cables have to also resistant to dirt, acid, solvents and Like. Which is why a corresponding resistant insulation is selected. These are mostly designed as flat cables Profile cables are due to their resistant insulation difficult to contact, which is why the piercing technique is used becomes. With this technique, the profile cable is connected to the contact knife which cut through the insulation and into the Copper core of the line wires penetrate to an electrical Establish contact. Care must be taken be that a correct contact is made to the ensure electrical functionality. In practice has shown that sometimes profile cables during installation arrive in the wrong direction at a piercing connection; for a correct position To achieve cable feed, usually had to be additional Loops, which is awkward, Installation space consumed and very much when troubleshooting is annoying.
- the invention has for its object a piercing contact terminal specify where regardless of the location of the connected Cable a correct connection is guaranteed.
- the recording is transverse to the longitudinal direction of the cable is wider than the cable itself is dependent on the position on the side of the incoming cable to be able to change the cable in the holder.
- a fitting is provided which, depending on the Location of the supplied cable either on one side of the Recording or arranged on the other side of the recording is, whereby the cable to the width of the adapter across Longitudinal direction of the cable can be positioned.
- Another contact pin is provided, which is transverse to the longitudinal direction of the cable with a distance that corresponds approximately to the wire spacing Distance to the adjacent contact pin, so that depending on Lateral position of the cable in the receptacle of this contact pin either engages in a wire of the cable or in the adapter.
- the arrangement is preferably such that a medium Row of contacts lies in a plane that the recording in the longitudinal direction divides the cable symmetrically.
- the change in location of the Cable within the receptacle thus corresponds to that Center distance of the cable cores in the cable, the middle Row of contacts regardless of the position of the cable in the receptacle always contacted the same wire.
- the cable is preferably a two-core cable, the three across Longitude of the cable associated with adjacent contact pins are.
- the cable is in one position on the one side of the picture and lie in the other position the other side of the receptacle so that the cable from the one layer in the other layer around the middle contact pin 180 ° C rotated.

- a contact knife 16 lies in the longitudinal direction 18 of the cable 2 aligned.
- a two-core cable 3 is shown, the transverse to the longitudinal direction 18 at least 3 adjacent Contact pins 15, 15a are assigned. In the embodiment shown are more than in the longitudinal direction 18 of the profile cable 3 Cutting knife 16 formed contact pins 15 are provided. To one To allow high current load are in the embodiment in the longitudinal direction 18 of the profile cable 3 with three contact blades 16 equidistant distances arranged one behind the other.
- the center distance z measured across the longitudinal direction 18 Cutting knife 16 corresponds approximately to the center distance a 7 souls of the electrical wires 5 and 6. So by pressing the profile line 3 in the correct position to the contact blades 16 lying profile cables 3 with the contact pins 15 be contacted electrically. The contact knives penetrate 16 of the contact pins 15 into the material of the profile cable 3, cut through the round insulation 8 of the wires 5 and 6 and penetrate into the electrically conductive core 7 of the respective wire 5, 6, causing electrical contact of the respective wires 5, 6 is made with the penetrated contact pin 15, 15a.
