Definitions
- the invention relates to an extendable flat roof-like projecting cover for a forecourt.
- Houses and apartments with outdoor seating are generally very popular. It is particularly advantageous if the forecourt as needed, for. B. against the sun, can be protected. It is therefore customary to install a sun blind on the house wall, which can be extended and retracted. On the one hand, users have the feeling of being outdoors and, on the other, the advantage of not being exposed to the heat of the sun.
- a sipe-type blind having a plurality of sipes coupled together by a scissors hinge mechanism. Drip noses are formed on the slats and when the store is closed, they overlap one another to form a continuous roof.
- the DE 40 20 334 shows a vertically liftable glass facade with a scissors mechanism, are held on which pivotable lamellar plates.
- the scissors mechanism has pivots, which are guided on a guide rod and can be driven.
- the lever arms may be coupled by tooth profiles.
- the object of the invention is to provide an extendable cover for a forecourt, which is especially robust against rain and aesthetically does not act as a fixed-mounted canopy.
- an extendable cover for a forecourt transparent lamellae which are guided by means of a scissor-joint-like mechanism.
- the louvers can be driven continuously from an open position, in which the cover is fully retracted, as required, to a closed position in which the cover is fully extended.
- a sipe in particular the foremost one (in the direction of extensibility), is provided with a reinforcing profile which forms part of a force transmitting arrangement to ensure a motion coupling across the whole width of the cover (i.e., transverse to the direction of extensibility). If the lamellae are long and thin in the sense of a particularly preferred embodiment, then they can transmit the forces only conditionally from one end to the other end.
- reinforcing profile it may, for. B. be a continuous metal tube.
- one of the lamellae as such in a particularly stable manner (eg by being designed differently from the other lamellae and being torsion-resistant).
- one of the fins (usually the foremost, when the cover is sloping from back to front) is equipped with a gutter.
- This gutter can be relatively small in cross-section. It can simultaneously represent the aforementioned gain profile.
- the inventive cover a forecourt can be covered or protected as needed, as it is known from so-called sun blinds.
- sun blinds can be made of durable material in the inventive cover, the fins. If the slats are made entirely of transparent glass, the result is a very bright forecourt, even if the cover is extended. If at the same time protection against the sun is to be achieved, the lamellae can be produced either in a mirrored, partially transparent or opaque material.
- the cover is made of completely weatherproof material, it can be completely retracted, e.g. B. to improve the ventilation of the forecourt or sit in the open air. The cover is lockable in any, partially open position. Thus, z. B. only partially cover or a surface complete, but for the air-permeable cover can be achieved.
- a forecourt with a cover according to the invention is not comparable to a conservatory (eg a glasshouse, as is known from US Pat DE 40 20 334 C2 is known).
- a conservatory is basically a part of the living space and can be completely completed. However, this requires sidewalls to prevent users from feeling "out of doors”.
- the cover is formed flat-roof projecting. Ie. the inclination of the cover with respect to the horizontal is less than 15 °. At small angles, the impression of a flat canopy arises.
- the cover is mounted on a house wall or in a forecourt delimiting corner of the house.
- the angle should not be too small, so that accumulating water (rain, snow) can drain in a predictable way from the cover.
- the cover is designed with an angle of inclination between 7 ° and 15 °. Covers according to the invention can be constructed both in private homes and in garden restaurants or before sales outlets. The height of the cover depends on architectural and user-specific wishes and circumstances. Typically, it is positioned at the height of a ceiling.
- the support frame can be made very filigree or solid.
- it is a prefabricated, self-contained construction that can be delivered and installed. But it is also possible to install on site individual carriers in a suitable manner on the building object.
- the support frame preferably has at least two carriers, which extend in the direction of the extensibility of the cover. Although these carriers are preferably placed on the outside of the cover (or the ends of the slats), but may also be indented relative to the edge. In a cover of large width (i.e., at a large distance between the two supports), for example, an additional support may be provided in an intermediate region for supporting the scissor-joint-like mechanism. How many subcarriers are used usually depends on structural or stability considerations.
- a motor drive For extending and retracting the cover a motor drive is appropriate.
- the motor is typically located at that end of the cover which faces the house wall.
- In the lateral supports are z.
- chain hoists provided, which ensure that the slats are moved synchronously at the fin ends.
- a chain hoist can also be a cable, a worm drive or threaded rod drive or other drive can be arranged, which can be realized to save space.
- the mechanism is designed in the manner of a scissors chain.
- Such mechanisms are known per se (cf. DE 40 20 334 C2 ).
- a scissor chain can z. B. be formed in that in each case two lever arms are connected via a hinge to form a scissor element and that successive scissor elements are coupled via external connection joints. (By "outboard” is meant that the scissors elements at the ends the actual lever arms are provided.)
- the scissor chain may look similar to a Nuremberg scissors.
- the mechanism is guided by rollers along a rail.
- the rollers are arranged on the joint joints lying on a common line.
- rollers and sliding elements can be used, which are guided easily displaceable in a suitably trained profile carrier in the direction of the extensibility.
- Other guide means or design variants are z. B. from the already mentioned DE 40 20 334 C2 or from the FR 2,473,612 known.
- the mechanism is designed such that, when the cover is fully extended, the scissor chain still has an opening angle of at least approximately 20 ° (preferably more than 30 ° or 45 °). This increases the mechanical stability. Both for technical and aesthetic reasons, the slats should take up as little space when the cover is withdrawn. Thus, in this (open) state, the lever arms should be tight and steep, the lamellae being approximately at 90 ° to the direction of extensibility and forming a stack-like packing.
- the rollers are guided in the supports of the support frame in such a way that they are substantially immovable in a direction vertical or perpendicular to the running direction of the support.
- the carrier has for this purpose a longitudinal opening in which the rollers are guided at least on one edge of the longitudinal opening.
- the running surface of the individual rollers is preferably provided with a groove, in which engage the edges of the longitudinal opening of the carrier.
- the edges of the longitudinal opening are encompassed by the running surface of the rollers, and the entire mechanism is better guided than is the case with a flat configuration of the running surface of the rollers.
- Between the roles and The edges of the longitudinal opening in the carrier game is preferably provided so that the cover can not tilt during retraction and extension.
- the slats are z. B. simple glass or glass plates. They are held at their rear edge by brackets. The brackets are firmly connected to the scissors chain. When extending and retracting the cover, the slats swing from a z. B. almost vertical position in a z. B. almost horizontal position.
- a holding element is associated with each scissor element of a scissor chain.
- the brackets are shorter in the direction of the extensibility of the cover than a lamella. So the holder z. B. extend over about 1/3 of the width of a lamella (NB: the longitudinal direction of the lamella is transverse to the direction of the extensibility).
- the support member is not mounted in the direct extension of the lever arm, but Z-shaped offset thereto. In this way, the arrangement of the slats in the extended position of the cover can be optimally formed.
- FIG. 1 shows a section through a forecourt and an extendable cover 1 according to the invention.
- the cover 1 comprises mutually arranged lamellae 2 and a support frame 3.
- the lamellae 2 are preferably transparent and made, for example, of glass or plastic.
- the slats 2 can also be made of a semi-transparent material, for example, for a visual or solar protection of colored, mirrored or frosted glass-like glass or plastic.
- non-transparent material such as steel, wood or another material for the cover according to the invention.
- the permanently projecting support frame 3 comprises at least two side support - here only the side support 10.2 is shown - and at least one connection support 29, which closes the support frame 3 to the front and provides the necessary stiffening of the construction.
- the support frame 3 is mounted, for example, on a facade 31 or in a forecourt 32 bounding the corner of a building and covers the forecourt 32 from.
- On the front side supports 33 can be arranged, which preferably support the support frame 3 at the corners, so that the supports 33 do not restrict the covered forecourt, as far as possible.
- the cover 1 is in such an embodiment a self-supporting structure, which can be arranged in all buildings, as a supporting attachment of the support frame 3 is omitted on the facade 31. If the construction and design of the building makes it possible, the support frame 3 can also be formed in the form of a cantilever. In such an embodiment, the arrangement of supports 33 can be dispensed with.
- the support frame 3 will either be designed as self-supporting or be braced by means of tensioning cable at the upper part of the facade.
- the cover 1 is preferably formed projecting flat roof like, so the inclination ⁇ of the cover 1 relative to the horizontal 15 ° or smaller.
- the angle should not be too small, so that accumulating water (rain, snow) can flow away from the cover 1 in a predictable manner.
- the cover 1 is executed at an inclination angle ⁇ between 7 ° and 15 °.
- FIG. 2 shows a schematic cross section through an inventive, extendable cover.
- the cover 1 further comprises, in addition to the lamellae 2 arranged one behind the other in this illustration, and the support frame 3, at least one drive device 4.1 and 4.2.
- the slats 2 are guided by a scissor-type mechanism.
- This scissor-like mechanism comprises a plurality of scissor hinges 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4, which are supported on movable means, such as rollers 6.1, 6.2 and 7, on the support frame 3 and are each composed of a plurality of scissors elements.
- the rollers 6.1, 6.2 and 7 are connected to shafts, for example with bolts 8.1, 8.2 and 9, with the scissor hinges 5.1, 5.4, and 5.2 and 5.3.
- the scissors joint 5.3 can be dispensed with, so that only one scissors joint is arranged on each carrier.
- the support frame 3 itself comprises at least two and preferably in the inclination angle of the cover 1 inclined side support 10.1 and 10.2.
- the supporting part is a rectangular hollow profile 12.1 and 12.2 (eg an RHS profile).
- a right angle beveled flat steel profile 13.1 and 13.2 FLA
- side supports 10.1 and 10.2 it is also possible to use a U-steel with preferably parallel flanges (eg a UAP profile) in which a support for the rollers 6.1 or 6.2 is welded.
- a rectangular hollow profile 14 (eg an RHS profile) is preferably used.
- the specified types of profiles are only examples of an embodiment.
- the individual parts, or the carrier can also be welded together from individual parts.
- the use of standard profiles is preferred. For steel buildings, it is not the material costs that are decisive, but the hours spent preparing and assembling. From these considerations, the use of standard profiles is preferred because the workload is limited to individual special solutions and assembly.
- the rollers 6.1, 6.2 and 7 roll on the carriers 10.1, 10.2 and 11 from.
- the rollers 6.1, 6.2 and 7 may for example be provided with a rubberized tread.
- guide rails 15.1 and 15.2 are arranged at least on the side supports 10.1 and 10.2.
- the running surfaces of the rollers 6.1 and 6.2 can be U-shaped or in the form of a groove, so that the rollers 6.1 and 6.2, the guide rails 15.1 and 15.2 laterally.
- the intermediate carrier 11 may be provided on the upper side of the hollow profile 14 with a guide rail 16.
- the roller 7, like the rollers 6.1 and 6.2, has a correspondingly formed running surface.
- FIG. 19 A perspective view of a side guide of the inventive extendable cover is shown in FIG.
- the side support 19 is, as a variant of the previously described side support 10.1, composed of a U-shaped profile 17 (eg a UAP) and, for example, a welded-in angle steel 18.
- the rollers attached to the scissor joint 5.1 eg 20.1 are arranged.
- the drive device 4.1 is housed. This consists of a chain hoist and a motor, which moves the chain hoist according to the instructions from the control.
- the chain hoist is attached at least to the first roller 20.1.
- the other rollers on the line of the connecting joints 26.1 to 26.x are purely passive and serve only the stability and the leadership of the entire device.
- the scissors joint 5.1 is composed of respective parallel individual pieces of sheet metal, which are identical except for the initial element 21.
- the forwardly directed lever arms 22.1 to 22.x and the rearward lever arms 23.1 to 23.x are on the one hand at one end with the connecting joints 24.1 to 24.x and on the other hand in the middle of the lever arms with the hinges 25.1 to 25.x rotatable connected to each other.
- the lever arms 22.1 to 22.x, as well as the lever arms 23.1 to 23.x, remain parallel to each other when the cover is extended or retracted.
- the lever arms 23.1 to 23.x with the lever arms 22.1 to 22.x are connected to each other via the connecting joints 26.1 to 26.x.
- These scissors elements are lined up at their ends, or at the upper part, with connecting joints 24 and 25 to the scissors joint 5.1.
- the rollers 20.1 to 20.x are arranged, which hold the scissors hinge 5.1 hanging on the side support 19.
- the forwardly directed holding parts 22.1 to 22.x have a rearwardly angled, over the connecting joint 26.1 to 26.x projecting portion 30.1 to 30.x.
- the support members 27.1 to 27.x are mounted, which in turn hold the slats 2.1 to 2.x and control.
- the support elements 27.1 to 27.x are arranged slightly offset in a side view of the holding parts 22.1 to 22.x to these, so that with the section 30.1 to 30.x a Z-shaped bend is formed.
- the section 30.1 to 30.x is thus the connection between the holding part 22.1 to 22.x and the holder 27.1 to 27.x.
- the support elements 27.1 to 27.x are provided with holes which coincide with holes in the slats 2.1 to 2.x, so that a bolt or a screw can be used.
- the support elements 27.1 to 27.x can also be connected with an adhesive connection with the slats 2.1 to 2.x.
- the support elements 27.1 to 27.x include the slats 2.1 to 2.x such that the slats 2.1 to 2.x are inserted into the support elements 27.1 to 27.x. In such a fastening, for example, an adhesive in the receptacle of the support members 27.1 to 27.x, so that the blades 2.1 to 2.x are held immovable.
- the inclusion of the support elements 27.1 to 27.x can also be configured such that the inserted slats 2.1 to 2.x are clamped. Furthermore, the lamellae 2.1 to 2.x can be enclosed on both longitudinal sides by a holder, as is the case, for example, in FIG DE 42 27 278 is shown.
- a gutter 28 is disposed at the front edge.
- the gutter 28 prevents on the one hand, that draining water due to rain or melting snow over the cover undesirably drains, and on the other hand it serves to stiffen the entire structure to ensure a iolosfflessig coupling over the entire width of the cover 1.
- FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of an intermediate guide of the extendable cover according to the invention.
- the permanently projecting support frame 3 comprises, preferably for reasons of stability, a closed frame, which is why at the front end of the connection carrier 29 at the ends of the side support 10.1 and 10.2 is arranged.
- the connection carrier 29 serves simultaneously for the intermediate carrier 11 or when several intermediate carriers are arranged, all intermediate carriers as a support.
- On the intermediate support 11, a guide rail 16 is arranged, on which the scissors joint is guided 5.2.
- the scissors hinge 5.3 was omitted, since the slats 2 can be adequately guided in most uses of the extendable cover 1 with a scissors joint.
- the scissors joint 5.2 is constructed like the scissor joint 5.1 previously described in FIG.
- rollers 7.1 to 7.x run passively with the entire cover 1 when it is extended or withdrawn.
- the cover 1 is extended only two-thirds and locked, for example, in this position.
- Slats 2.1 to 2.x only partially cover the forecourt and are directed upwards.
- the side support 10.2 recognizable with the associated constructions.
- the carrier 41 is constructed in two parts and made of aluminum, for example.
- the first part 42 of the carrier 41 has a substantially U-shaped configuration, which has - on the basis of this drawing - upper legs 46 has formed a fold 43.
- the first part 42 of the carrier 41 has further on - with reference to this drawing - lower legs 47 a receptacle 44 which includes the leg 48 of the L-shaped, second part 45 of the carrier 41 and holds immovable.
- the free edge of the other leg 49 of the L-shaped, second part 45 of the carrier 41 forms the support for the roller 50, which guides the scissors joint 5.
- the roller 50 has formed on its tread a groove 51, so that the side edges of the tread comprise the edge 52 and thus the entire mechanism is guided laterally.
- the diameter of the roller 50 in the region of the groove 51 is preferably smaller than the distance of the free edge 52 of the leg 49 to the free edge 53 of the bevel 43. Thus, a clearance between the roller 50 and the edges 52 and 53 is given, bringing the cover can not tilt during entry and exit.
- the larger outer diameter of the roll 50 - d. H. the outer diameter of the roller 50 laterally of the groove 51 - is preferably greater than the distance between the two edges 52 and 53 selected so that the roller 50 can not jump out of the formed by the first part 42 and the second part 45 longitudinal guide of the carrier 41.
- the cover is securely guided under the various loads occurring on the cover. For example, the cover can not stand out from the support frame with a wind load acting under the cover or a suction effect due to a wind load on the cover.
- Said roller 50 is mounted on a shaft 54, on which, on the side facing away from the carrier 41, the scissors joint 5 is attached.
- a shaft 54 At the other end of the shaft 54 - ie arranged in the carrier 41 end - is, for example, with a screw 55 the Drive device 4 attached. If the drive device 4 is actuated, the roller 50 rolls along the edge 52 until the drive device 4 is stopped or the lamellae 2 of the cover constructively prevent another way of covering.
- the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown.
- the support frame may be less wide than the cover.
- the drive mechanism is integrated. It is also not excluded to dispense with the carrier and take the extendable end of the cover, for example, on a rope construction. Further, it is possible to make the support structure also extendable.
- Such as B. glass fins can be attached to brackets is known from the prior art. Accordingly diverse are the available mounting options. If a slat holder is provided per scissor element, then the scissor element can be formed relatively. The resulting mechanics are correspondingly stable. But it can also be used smaller scissor elements, wherein z. B. only every second or every third scissor element a blade is attached.
- an extendable cover has been created for a forecourt, which is robust against rain and aesthetically does not act as a permanently mounted canopy.
- the cover can also be extended only partially.
