Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a support plate for a denture model.
entstanden. The dental technician needs a positive denture model of the patient to manufacture dentures, such as tooth crowns, bridges, inlays, etc.
The negative impressions of the upper and lower jaw of a patient's dentition supplied by the dentist are filled with a model mass, e.g. plaster, and a support plate is pressed on, which is equipped with retaining pins that protrude into the model mass and after the model mass has hardened in of the model mass.
After the model mass had hardened, a positive denture model of the patient's upper or lower jaw was created on a support plate after removing the negative impression.
This positive dentition model together with the support plate is assembled with a corresponding positive opposing jaw model of the patient in a denture movement simulator (articulator), whereby individual patient dentition movements can be imitated.
This makes it possible to produce dentures that are tailored to the patient's dentition position and movement.
The bit model sitting on the support plate must be removed from the support plate for processing and put back on it.
Often, the denture model also has to be sawn into jaw or tooth segments to make working on this segment easier.
First, the denture model together with the retaining pins is lifted off the support plate and then sawn into individual segments.
Then the individual denture model segments are reset as accurately as possible to their previous position on the support plate by means of the retaining pins and thus remain firmly on the support plate, even when the support plate is mounted on the top in an articulator, in which the teeth row of the denture model is directed downward.
It is a carrier plate for a denture model from PCT patent WO 98/10709 known, which is provided on its top with an arcuate depression, the side walls have vertical grooves and numerous in the bottom Holes with inserted retaining pins are provided.
The holding pins are made of plastic and are used when sawing the denture model sawed into individual jaw or tooth segments if necessary, which is the sawing work severely handicapped and left sawed retaining pins.
Another disadvantage of the known support plate that all in the holes at the bottom of the recess on the support plate inserted in the hardened Denture model get stuck and cannot be removed, what the weight loss and resetting the bit model or individual bit model segments from the support plate or onto the support plate considerably more difficult and to one Abrasion or breakage of the model mass due to tilting of the retaining pins in the Drilling and an oblique lifting or putting on the bit model or individual Leads segments on the support plate.
After curing in the negative impression of a patient's denture filled liquid model mass, e.g. Plaster on which the support plate of the well-known Design was placed before curing, this shows from the deepening of the Carrier plate raised positive dentition model on the outer walls and the grooves in the recess of the support plate corresponding rib structure, so that after the Resetting the denture model or the jaw and tooth segments on the support plate the ribs on the outer walls of the denture model or the segments in the Engage grooves in the side walls of the recess in the support plate.
However, this has the disadvantage that it is both when detaching the dentition model from the support plate, as well as when resetting and repeatedly removing the Denture model or individual denture model segments to a strong abrasion on the Edges of the bit model or its bit model segments comes.
Also when resetting and inserting a bit model segment to an incorrect one A place in the denture model in the recess of the support plate creates abrasion or breakage on the edges of the denture model - usually made of plaster.
Even the slightest damage to the bit model or jaw or tooth segment, through splinter edges or abrasion of the model mass, however, is a more precise fit Fit of the bit model or segment on the support plate is no longer guaranteed, so that the dentures made after the denture model later in the mouth of the Patient sits poorly.
The invention has for its object to a support plate for a denture model create the repeated removal of the denture model or individual jaw or toothed segments from the support plate and the precise reset of the Denture model or individual denture model segments on the support plate without abrasion the model mass enables.
This is achieved by a support plate for a bit model, in which the outer side wall of the arcuate depression on the support plate is reduced by approximately 4/5 in height compared to the inner side wall.
The inner side wall of the arcuate depression advantageously has the support plate one step at the level of the opposite remaining outer Sidewall of the arcuate depression, the wall of the step is vertical or formed obliquely and are the vertical or sloping wall of the step of inner side wall and the outer side wall of the arcuate depression the support plate each contoured half differently, with different contoured side walls lie opposite each other.
The vertical grooves are expediently the remaining inner ones Sidewall above the step tapering downwards.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the are between the vertical ribs tapering downwards towards widening.
In another embodiment of the invention, the have in the bores sticking pins on their in the arcuate recess on the support plate protruding upper ends a thread.
The holding pins expediently have their on the underside of the Support plate protruding ends a slot.
An embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to the drawings explained and described in more detail.
