Abstract

An air conditioner (1), comprising a device main body (2) disposed at the rear of a ceiling and a decorative panel (4) installed on the lower surface (3) of the device main body (2) and disposed on a ceiling surface (5), the decorative panel (4) further comprising a plurality of long blowout holes (11) formed therein and an air path width adjusting mechanism (40) provided in each of the blowout holes (11), wherein the air path width adjusting mechanism (40) comprises a baffle board extending in the longitudinal direction of the blowout hole (11) and rotated about the axis of the blowout hole extending in the longitudinal direction of the blowout hole so as to adjust the air path width of the blowout hole (11) in the lateral direction of the blowout hole (11), the baffle board comprising first and second plates connected foldably to each other, whereby an air conditioning area can be maintained widely without reducing the lateral width of a blowout flow when an air blow volume is suppressed.
