Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zum Schleifen von Werkstücken verwendet eine erfindungsgemäße Schleifvorrichtung und weist folgende Schritte auf: (a) Einspannen eines Werkstücks in eine drehbar ausgebildete Werkstückhalterung; (b) Senken und teilweises oder vollständiges Einfahren der Werkstückhalterung mittels einer Hebe- und Senkvorrichtung in einen Schleifmittelbehälter; (c) Einleiten eines Luftstroms über Luftzuführdüsen in den Schleifmittelbehälter und Versetzen des Schleifmittelbehälters und der Werkstückhalterung in jeweils entgegengerichtete Schwingungen zur Verwirbelung des innerhalb des Behälters angeordneten Schleifmittels; (d) Drehen und/oder Heben und Senken der Werkstückhalterung mit dem vollständig oder teilweise von Schleifmittel umgebenem Werkstück; und (e) Entfernen bzw. Figur 1 zeigt in einer schematischen Darstellung eine Schleifvorrichtung 10 gemäß
einer ersten Ausführungsform mit einem Gestellrahmen 12 und einer innerhalb des
Gestellrahmens 12 angeordneten Werkstückhalterung 16 zur Halterung eines
Werkstücks 18. Das Werkstück 18 ist in dem Ausführungsbeispiel ein profilierter
Fensterrahmen. Die Werkstückhalterung 16 ist dabei drehbar gelagert, wobei die
Drehung durch eine Drehvorrichtung 20 erzeugt wird. Man erkennt, daß die
Werkstückhalterung 16 mittels einer Hebe- und Senkvorrichtung 22 bestehend aus
zwei Hubspindeln 24, 26 bewegt werden kann. Die Werkstückhalterung 16 ist dadurch teilweise oder
vollständig in einen zumindest teilweise verschließbaren Schleifmittelbehälter 14
einfahrbar. Hierzu weist eine Behälterabdeckung 28 eine entsprechende Öffnung 30

Zudem erzeugen die Schwingungserreger 42, 52 jeweils eine einstellbare
Beschleunigung von 1,0 bis 4 g.A
Das Schleifmittel besteht üblicherweise aus Schlacke, Quarzsand, Basaltstücken oder Korund oder einer Mischung davon, wobei die Körnigkeit des Schleifmittels kleiner als 2 mm ist. 56 zwischen der Hebe- und Senkvorrichtung 22 sowie Schwingungsdämpfer 48 zur

Ausführungsbeispiel eine Aufnahmevorrichtung 58 zur Befestigung der

Aufnahmevorrichtung 58 entsprechend befestigten Drahtseil 62, mehreren
Umlenkrollen 64 für das Drahtseil 62 sowie einem Hubzylinder 60. Damit beide Seiten
