Description
The present invention relates to a housing for a hazard detector, with a base, a detachably connectable to the bottom lid, the bottom for attachment to a Wall is provided, and with a sabotage detector to trigger an alarm when violent Removal of the alarm from the wall.
Hazard detectors, especially intrusion detectors, are because of their high detection reliability often exposed to attempts at sabotage, from covering the detector to the latter Tear off the wall. Against covering or masking the detector, for example for passive infrared detectors by covering the detector with a cardboard box, hat or other suitable shielding or by spraying the detector's entry window for infrared radiation with an infrared-opaque medium are preferred opto-electronic means used in the form of an additional detection system. such Means are, for example, in EP-A-0 186 226, EP-A-0 189 536, EP-A-0 476 397 EP-A-0 499 177 or EP-A-0 772 171.
Another type of sabotage is to open the intrusion detector by unauthorized opening To cripple the cover. A cover contact is used to detect this sabotage we open the lid. It is also possible to interlock the lid with the latch To couple bottom and lid, so that the actuation of the lock is already detected (see EP-A-0 616 307).
The means for triggering an alarm in the event of violent removal, such as tearing off the Detectors from the wall are in a known intrusion detector (type IR160 from Alarmcom AG, CH-8604 Volketswil) through a through which a fastening screw of the detector Field easily broken out of the ground and formed by a contact switch. The latter is fixed on an unbreakable part of the floor and presses with it resilient contact against a projection of the break-out field. When tearing off the Detector from the wall, the field that can be broken out of the floor remains on the wall, whereas the contact switch is removed from this field and the electrical contact is opened becomes. Since the detectors are designed for both wall and corner mounting At least two breakable fields are provided, the contact switch being on the field penetrated by the fastening screw.
This known solution has proven itself very well, but it requires additional assembly effort and also causes additional costs through the contact switch. By the invention should now be means for triggering the alarm when the detector is forcibly removed from the Wall are specified, which on the one hand a cost reduction and on the other hand a simplification enable assembly.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the base has a strip-shaped, area surrounded by weak points with several screw-in points for a fastening screw contains, and that this strip-shaped region protrudes against the lid Has web, which with its free end when the housing is closed in the lid mounted contact switch closes.
The strip-shaped area with the several screw-in points has the advantage of being independent of which of the screw-in points contains the fastening screw when tearing off the The entire strip-shaped area is broken out of the ground. This allows, that the contact switch for the different types of fastening only on one Place must be arranged. Through the protruding web and the associated one Contact switch in the lid, there is the advantage of having a single contact switch both opening the cover and tearing the detector off the wall can be detected. This means cost savings because there is no contact switch and also a not insignificant relief when installing the detector, because the Contact switch is installed in the factory and can no longer be used on site in the detector got to. This also eliminates any danger that the contact switch is at the wrong one Place in the detector.
A first preferred embodiment of the housing according to the invention is characterized in that that the strip-shaped area runs across the floor and screw-in points for different types of fastening of the hazard detector, such as wall and corner mounting, having.
A second preferred embodiment of the housing according to the invention is characterized in that that the cover contains a circuit board carrying the evaluation electronics, and that the contact switch is arranged on this circuit board.

The housing for a hazard detector, in particular a passive infrared detector, consists of
a bottom 1 and a cover 2 which can be releasably connected to it. The connection between
the bottom 1 and the cover 2, which is not the subject of the present patent application,
is preferably a locking connection fixable with a screw. To this end
the bottom 1 has at its lower transverse edge two
The lid 2 is pushed into the
The bottom 1 contains at its upper end, just below the
At the upper end of the
As can be seen in particular from FIG. 1, the base 1 contains one of weak points
(Predetermined breaking points) bordered
It should also be mentioned that the actual attachment of the detector is done by screws that
are guided through
The
- Unauthorized removal of the cover 2 from the floor 1, for example by removing the
screw 6, as a result of which the detector would no longer function as a result of theelectrical connector 8, 14 being opened. Here the sabotage detector formed by theweb 17 and thecontact switch 19 thus acts as a cover contact. - Tear off the detector from the wall, the
transverse strip 15 attached to the wall breaking out of the floor 1 and remaining together with theweb 17 on the wall, so that the end edge of theweb 17 no longer abuts the contact tongue of theswitch 19 and the contact is on this switch is opened. Here the sabotage detector acts as a break contact.
