From the professional article Elevators without an engine room ", Lift-Report issue 3/1998 an elevator without a machine room is known, in which the drive unit is arranged in an upper area of the shaft space on supports which are fixed to a shaft wall. Maintenance work on the drive unit is carried out from the roof of the elevator car In order to be able to observe the drive unit while it is moving, an assembly platform is proposed that can be installed from a maintenance platform if necessary. This elevator requires a relatively large shaft head height above the cabin. Furthermore, the installation of the maintenance platform or assembly platform is in the shaft room relatively complicated. Proceeding from this, the invention is based on the object To propose an elevator which, if the shaft space is used well, i.e. less Shaft height and small shaft cross-section, a safe Access to the drive unit, especially when jamming the cabin in an upper position.
To solve the problem, the elevator is according to the invention type mentioned proposed that the cabin a lockable Has roof opening through which the drive unit is accessible is.
In the elevator according to the invention, maintenance work is carried out by Inside the cabin from a maintenance platform arranged in the cabin carried out. About the one provided in the roof of the cabin lockable opening, the drive unit is accessible to a mechanic.
The accessibility of the drive unit via the cabin is also one Jamming of the cabin ensured in an upper position. The roof opening can have different dimensions. In particular the roof opening can also cover the entire cabin roof, which ensures good accessibility of the drive unit from all sides.
A major advantage of the elevator according to the invention is that that in addition to making good use of the cross-section of the shaft space the shaft height can also be kept very low, after the maintenance work is done from inside the cabin become. Since the drive unit in the elevator according to the invention Drive motors can not be run over by the cabin different types and dimensions are used, whereby there is a high degree of flexibility. In particular, drive motors can optionally be used can be used with or without gear. The invention The elevator concept can be used with different suspension cable arrangements are used. In particular, the suspension cable be guided under the cabin by means of pulleys or it a drum winch can be used instead of a traction sheave. The drive concept according to the invention can also be used for lifts from so-called backpack type are used, in which the cabin is only guided on one side. After the drive unit in the upper Area of the shaft space, also known as the shaft head, is arranged, different mounting variants for the drive unit can be provided. So the drive unit for example on those taken up between the shaft walls Cross members are attached, with the drive unit both standing can also be stored hanging.
Advantageous refinements of the invention result from the subclaims.
In an advantageous embodiment, the roof opening takes that from the drive unit dominated area. The roof opening is such dimensioned and arranged that for the standing in the cabin Fitter an adequate safety space for head and upper body is guaranteed and that a squeezing of body parts between Cab roof and drive unit in all possible positions of the cabin is avoided.
The roof opening can advantageously be closed by a lockable flap.
In an advantageous development, the flap is an unlocking device assigned, which is secured against unauthorized access. Here the unlocking device can be arranged in a switch box Switching device must be assigned, which is only accessible to the fitter is.
In an advantageous development it is proposed that the flap from Canopy is designed to be removable and as a maintenance platform or is usable as part of it. For example, the flap as Serve as a platform for the maintenance platform. Furthermore, the flap have fold-out supports and thus in the removed state can be converted into a maintenance platform. The maintenance platform can can also be graduated and have several treads of different heights.
In another advantageous embodiment, the flap is on one arranged on the roof of the cabin holding device with which the flap in a maintenance position parallel to the roof is transferable.

As can be seen from Figure 2, the
After the

ergibt. In addition, any drive units can be used with this
