Abstract

Es wird ein Betriebsverfahren für eine Vorrichtung zum direkten oder indirekten Auftragen eines flüssigen bis pastösen Auftragsmediums auf eine laufende Materialbahn (14), insbesondere aus Papier oder Karton, vorgeschlagen, bei dem mittels eines Auftragswerks (10) die Materialbahn (14) mit einer Schicht des Auftragsmediums bestrichen wird und das Strichergebnis sodann auf Abweichungen von einem gewünschten Strichergebnis hin untersucht wird, wobei im Fall der Feststellung solcher Abweichungen zu deren Korrektur mindestens ein Betriebsparameter des Auftragswerks (10) bei laufender Materialbahn (14) von einem Parameterausgangswert aus, den der Betriebsparameter vor der Feststellung der Abweichungen besitzt, kurzzeitig verstellt wird. Anschließend wird der Betriebsparameter zumindest annähernd wieder auf den Parameterausgangswert zurückgestellt, wobei die Verstellung und anschließende Zurückstellung des Betriebsparameters erforderlichenfalls wiederholt wird. Durch diese Vorgehensweise können speziell bei einem Freistrahl-Auftragswerk (10) streifenförmige Fehler im Strichbild der auf die Materialbahn (14) aufgetragenen Schicht beseitigt werden, die durch Schmutzteilchen oder sonstige Verunreinigungen hervorgerufen werden, welche sich in einer Strahlaustrittsöffnung (12) des Freistrahl-Auftragswerks (10) festgesetzt haben.
