- the injector 1 is fixed to the upper part 2b of the cylinder head by means of a fixing flange 9 which consists of a cylindrical sleeve 10 internally having a bore 10a.
- the sleeve 10 comprises at its upper part, as visible in FIGS. 4 and 6, two transverse symmetrical wings 11 and 12 which are each provided with an orifice, respectively 11a and 12a, allowing the passage of a fixing screw 13 .
- This sleeve 10 is engaged in a cylindrical housing 14 provided in the upper part 2b and is held to the latter by the fixing screws 13.
- the body of the injector 1 comprises, in a central portion located above the lower part 2a of the cylinder head, a peripheral groove 15 in which is mounted a rod 16 of elastic metal which partially protrudes from the groove 15 thus forming a circular support area for the flange 9.
- the rod 16, shown in FIG. 5, consists of a split ring with ends 16a, 16b of complementary shapes capable of ensuring good sealing when they are joined.
- the sleeve 10 comprises at its lower end a circular base 17 bearing on the projecting part of the rod 16.
- This support base 17 has a chamfer 17a so as to ensure regular contact on the projecting part of the rod and bring the ends of it closer together when it exerts an axial thrust on it.
- the outside diameter of the sleeve 10 is provided with a peripheral groove 18 in which an O-ring seal 19 is mounted.
- the operator engages the body of the injector in the bore 10a of the flange 9 and then places the rod 16 in the peripheral groove 15.
- the flange 9 is fixed to the upper part 2b by the fixing screws 13, the tightening of which causes a downward push of the flange on the rod 16, therefore on the injector 1 until it is brought into lower support on the bottom 8 of the well 4. This pushing causes the tight junction of the ends of the rod.
- the wings 11 and 12 of the flange 9 are spaced from an upper face 20 of the upper part 2b, which thus allows elastic recovery by the screws 13 of the forces resulting from different thermal expansions of the injector and of the breech.
