Installation pour le traitement de carcasses selon la revendication 4, caractérisée en ce que les moyens de guidage sont constitués d'au moins deux portions de guidage (10) allongées, de préférence parallèles, le long des bords extérieurs desquelles se déplacent les organes de suspension (2) desdites carcasses (3), deux organes de suspension (2) successifs étant positionnés, l'un le long de la première, l'autre le long de la seconde desdites portions de guidage (10), au moyen d'un organe répartiteur (11), tel qu'une roue crénelée, dont le cycle de fonctionnement est adapté au pas et à la vitesse de défilement desdites carcasses (3), cet organe répartiteur (11) étant positionné en amont desdits moyens de guidage (10).6.
