Abstract

The frame for a marquee comprises, in its upper part, several slightly inclined tubes (2). These tubes converge at their upper end (2') to form the top of the marquee. Each tube is connected at its other end to a tubular upright (3) which is supported on the ground. The top ends of the tubes are folded down and located parallel to each other and fixed together by several bolts (4) which pass through them. The bolts are fixed one to the other in their middle to form a single crosspiece.

Description

The present invention relates to a tent frame in the form of a marquee according to the preamble of claim 1.

We have known for a long time structures called marquees that serve as gazebos and are made to be fixed or removable. In this last case, these structures provide very frequently the use of a reinforcement made by means of tubes of metal, on which a tent is superimposed, however, is limited to covering the upper part of the structure, so as to create a gray area, as well as the tubular supporting elements of the frame, for purposes which are mainly aesthetic in nature.

In fact, these frames include, in terms of their upper part, a plurality of tubular elements slightly inclined which converge at their end upper, to form the top of the marquee. As an element of reciprocal assembly between said upper ends inclined tubular elements, an element of fitting, generally made of plastic, comprising a plurality of short sleeves joined together each other, present in a number equal to that of said tubular elements and arranged in such a way that said ends can fit exactly in said sleeves.

Each of the inclined tubular elements is supported by a vertical post, also of a tubular nature, which rests on the ground at its lower end, possibly by means of a sole or the like. In fact, the reciprocal fixing between the vertices of the elements inclined tubular is not particularly strong nor safe, and therefore the stability of the complete structure must be reinforced by providing horizontal beams, arranged on along the perimeter of the structure, and used to connect the to each other the lower ends of the elements inclined tubulars. In practice, we also use in this case elements comprising a plurality of sleeves in which fit the ends of the tubular elements inclined, uprights and a pair of horizontal rails which meet in these.

The object of the present invention is to provide a tent tent frame of the type described more tall, which is inherently stronger than said achievement, in particular by eliminating the presence of beams, arranged horizontally, mentioned more high. According to the invention, this result is obtained by providing that the ends of the inclined tubular elements are arranged in mutually parallel positions and are fixed to each other by means of a plurality of screw elements which pass through one of the tubular elements as well as in the tubular element opposite it, the ends of said screw elements leaving said elements tubular. In particular, it is expected that the elements to screws are contained in superimposed planes, so as not to interfere with each other.

Tests have made it possible to verify that with this construction layout, the solidity of the whole of the structure is considerably increased, allowing thus to achieve without previous means the goals previously mentioned. These benefits are particularly noticeable in case the screw elements are fixed to each other others so as to obtain a cross structure.

  • la Fig. 1 (planche I) est une vue axonométrique d'ensemble de l'armature selon l'invention ;
  • la Fig. 2 (planche II) représente une vue de côté du sommet de l'armature précitée ;
  • The invention is described in detail below, with reference to a few particular embodiments, given by way of non-limiting examples, with the aid of the attached drawing plates in which:
  • Fig. 1 (plate I) is an overall axonometric view of the frame according to the invention;
  • Fig. 2 (plate II) represents a side view of the top of the aforementioned reinforcement;
  • Figs. 3 as well as 4 (plate III) and 5 (plate IV) represent sectional views, taken along a horizontal plane of some possible examples of embodiment of the top of the frame and of the accessory elements thereof.
In Fig. 1, it can be seen that the armature according to the invention, able to support a tent 1 in the form of a marquee, includes, at its upper part, a plurality of elements tubular 2, slightly inclined, which converge at their upper part to form the top of the marquee. Each of said tubular elements 2 is connected, at its lower end, to a tubular upright 3 which takes support on the ground at its lower end. The upper part of the frame, as well as the uprights side 3, are then covered with tent 1, so usual.

A fundamental characteristic of the device according to the invention lies in the fact that the ends upper 2 'of the tubular elements 2 are parallel between them and arranged against each other, as this is also clearly visible in FIGS. 2 and 3. However, in order to ensure that said ends are fixed to each other in a way that allows them to be disassembled easily, it is expected that in the case of the use of four inclined tubular elements 2, at least two screws 4 are threaded into two ends 2 ', the two screws 4 in practice forming a cross. In fact, as this is clearly visible in FIG. 2, you can also use a plurality of said cross structures, which are arranged superimposed along the height development of ends 2 '. In Fig. 3, we see that the two screws 4 can be welded to each other in the middle, which visibly comes to be arranged in the intermediate space between the different ends 2 ', which makes it possible to obtain the best results when it comes to fixing aforementioned ends. However, it is possible to use a pair of screws 4 which are not integral with one of the other, as is clearly visible in FIG. 4.

In fact, the present invention is particularly suitable to be applied not only to capitals which have a number of sides equal to four but also to capitals that display any even number of sides, provided that the tubular support elements 3 are place at the vertices of a regular polygon. Indeed, as it can be seen in Fig. 5, where we took the example of a number of sides equal to six, it is possible to ensure the fixing of two opposite end elements 2 'by means with a single screw 4. In the case in question, three screws 4 will obviously be necessary to allow blocking to each other the three pairs of end elements 2 '. The screws can in turn be blocked in a known manner per se, for example by means of ordinary nuts 5 (Fig. 3 and 5) as well as by means of nuts 6 provided with fins 6 ′.

Thanks to the remarkable solidity which is given to the structure thus formed by the particular blocking system mutual between the various 2 'ends, it is possible avoid using the horizontal beams which are normally present in analogous structures of a type known, which facilitates the assembly of the complete structure, and also significantly reduces the amount of parts used, as well as the total weight of the structure complete.
