Document FR-A-1 173 339 constitutes the state of the art the closest.

On such an installation, the safety devices are usually obtained by electrical systems made, for example, of electromagnetic locks associated with detectors, the whole being controlled by a cabinet containing the various control circuits. The complexity of such a device translates into costs of purchase, implementation and maintenance which are, in general, dissuasive for the individual. One way to make such a lift accessible to the individual consists of perform all functions using mechanical means simple, reliable and requiring only maintenance simplified. The motor function could, for example, be made using a double extension cylinder and constant speed like the one described in the document FR 9311277 in the name of the applicant. It remains, however, ensuring security and, in particular, managing the locking the doors using a mechanical device simple. The present invention aims to provide an elevator provided with such a device.

To this end, it relates to an elevator between a lower level and an upper level, comprising a cabin closed by a swing door opening to the outside, said cabin translating vertically from a lower level to a cage, located at a higher level and constituted by a railing closed by a normally locked swing landing door, opening towards the outside of the cabin according to an articulation arranged on the same side as that of door 2 of cabin 1, said elevator characterized in that it is provided with means providing:
  • automatic unlocking of the cabin door when said cabin arrives in good position at the upper and lower levels,
  • blocking the cabin on the lower level until the door of the cabin has been closed and locked manually,
  • locking the cabin door between the upper and lower levels,
  • the automatic fastening in rotation around their respective articulation of the cabin door and the landing door when said cabin reaches the upper level,
  • automatic separation of the cabin door and the landing door when said cabin leaves the upper level,
  • on upward movement of the cabin, automatic unlocking of the landing door when said cabin reaches the upper level,
  • on downward movement of the cabin leaving the upper level, the complete automatic closing of the landing door and the door of said cabin and, simultaneously, the automatic locking of said doors, the leaf of said door having been previously sufficiently drawn to allow the descent of the cabin,

The elevator according to the invention is only intended for ensure the transfer between two levels as it is shown in perspective in Figure 1, on which we have willfully failed to represent, for reasons of simplicity, the means ensuring the elevation of the cabin 1 the elevator, means which do not enter the object of the invention. Cab 1 is closed by a swing door 2 opening onto the outside, said cabin 1 translating vertically from a lower level into a cage 3, located on a higher level and constituted by a guardrail 4 closed by a hinged landing door 5. In the particularly simple variant, shown on figures, cabin 1 is made up of three walls vertical arranged in "U" closed by door 2 and mounted on a floor 6. The car 1 moves along rails of guidance not shown in the figures, fixed for example to a load-bearing wall of the house and parallel to the face exterior of the wall 7 of said cabin 1, opposite the door 2. According to this same variant, the elevator is devoid of cage at the lower level, the user accessing directly to cabin 1 when it rests on the lower level, as shown in Figure 4. The landing door 5, which opens to the outside of cabin 1 is arranged so that it is opposite door 2 when cabin 1 is on the upper level, the articulations of said doors 2 and 5 being located in the same side, as shown in Figure 1.

In order to ensure user safety, the elevator has means which, although all of the type passive and fully mechanical, condition the movement vertical translation of cabin 1, locking and unlocking doors 2 and 5 in accordance with the invention.

First of all, the elevator has a locking arm 8 mounted for rotation about an axis integral with the cabin 1. This axis can, for example, as is the case in FIGS. 1, 2 and 4, be horizontal and disposed in the wall 7. This locking arm 8 then oscillates along the side wall 9 of the cabin 1 located diagonally opposite the articulation of the door 2 of the cabin 1. It extends, beyond said wall 7, by a cam 10 intended to collaborate with a fixed vertical stop 11 arranged along the path of the cabin 1. When the latter is located somewhere between the lower level and the upper level, as is shown in Figure 1, the lock arm 8 in a horizontal position, then acts as retaining and especially rail, ensures locking of the door 2 of the car 1 by gripping its free end 8 has a flange 12 placed on the inside of door 2. This locking is made inviolable between the lower and upper levels by virtue of the relative position of the rear face 10b of the cam 10 and of the stopper 11, which is positioned relative to the cabin 1 so as to maintain sufficient relative clearance to allow translation of the cam 10 along the said stop 11 while preventing the tilting of the locking arm 8. The length of the stop 11 is chosen so as to not allow the unlocking of the locking arm 8, and consequently that of the door 2 of cabin 1, only when it is in good position at the upper and lower levels. It is clear that any other form of cooperation between a cam secured to the locking arm 8 and a stop disposed along the elevator is within the reach of those skilled in the art and would not depart from the scope of the invention.

When said cabin 1 arrives at the upper level, the locking arm 8 is then automatically unlocked by a stop taking, for example, the form of an elastic wedge 13 shown in FIG. 2 and arranged in the vertical extension of the upper end 11 b of the fixed vertical stop 11. Said wedge 13 provides, by hooking with the cam 10, when the cabin 1 arrives at the upper level, a lifting of the locking arm 8 at an angle sufficient to cause its free end 8 a to come out of the spar 12 It then only remains for the occupant of cabin 1 to return the locking arm 8 to the vertical position and then to open the door 2 to exit from said cabin 1. The vertical downward movement will only be again possible, only after closing door 2, which would otherwise block the downward movement by pressing its leaf on the floor of the upper level. This latter condition being fulfilled, the downward movement will cause, by cooperation of the rear face 10b of the cam 10 with the upper end 11b of the stop 11, the tilting of said locking arm 8 around its axis of rotation, and consequently the locking of the door 2 by hooking the free end 8 a of the locking arm 8 in the chin 12.

When, on the contrary, the cabin 1 arrives at the lower level, the locking arm 8 is then automatically unlocked by a lower stop consisting for example of an elastic rod 14 secured, at its upper end 14 a , to the locking arm 8 and passing through the floor 6 of the cabin by its lower end 14b , as shown in FIG. 4. The length of said lower end 14b is chosen so as to provide, when the cabin 1 arrives at the lower level, the lifting of the locking arm 8 at an angle sufficient to cause its free end 8 a to exit the jib 12. It then only remains for the occupant of cabin 1 to bring the locking arm 8 back. vertical position and then, to open door 2, to exit from said cabin 1. Departure to the upper level will only be possible again after closing door 2 and folding down the control arm 8. In fact, as long as the latter is in the raised position, outside of the spar 12, the cam 10 blocks the upward vertical movement of the cabin 1 by hooking its front face 10 a on the lower end 11 a of the stop 11. The various prohibitions made by the combination between the cam 10 and the stop 11 are made possible thanks to the particular geometry of said cam 10. In the variant shown in the figures, this geometry results in a height of the cam 10 , above the axis of rotation of the locking arm 8, greater than its length behind said axis. In fact, the stop 11 does not accompany the cam 10 until in its lowest position, corresponding to the cabin 1 at rest on the lower level. Indeed, the elastic rod 14 causes a start of lifting of the locking arm 8 before this position, since it protrudes below the floor 6 of the cabin 1; it is therefore necessary for the cam 10 to be released from its support along the stop 11 before the cabin 1 has reached its rest position on the lower level. The abutment 11 is therefore shorter by about ten centimeters. It is therefore possible to start the upward movement with the locking arm 8 in the raised and unlocked position. However, this movement will be stopped after an increase of about ten centimeters, the anterior surface 10a of the cam 10 abutting on the lower end 11a of the stopper 11. In addition, it is a priori possible to start the upward movement without having closed the door 2, it suffices to lower the locking arm 8. In practice, this drawback is remedied by fixing a stop to the ceiling, for example in the form of an arch, not shown on the figures, which descends to above the level of the top of the door leaf 2.

According to a particular variant shown in Figure 1, the locking arm 8 is secured to a second arm 8 'rotatably mounted about the same axis, along the side wall 15 of the cabin 1 located on the side of the articulation of door 2, said second arm 8 ′ thus constituting a second folding support railing. The locking arm 8 and the second arm 8 ′ can optionally meet at their free ends 8 a , 8 ′ a to form a folding retaining arch.

The elevator according to the invention also has a runner, pivotally mounted in the plane of the landing door 5 on the side of cabin 1. This slide forms a latch 16 locking the landing door 5 in a chin 17 integral with the railing 4 and located opposite the articulation of the landing door 5.

According to a first variant, not shown in the figures, the latch 16 is formed by an "L" section profile consisting of a main wing 18, rotatably mounted by one of its ends 18 a , in the plane of the door landing 5, around an axis perpendicular to said door 5 and cooperating, by its other end 18 b , with the jib 17 of the landing door 5. The main wing 18 is bordered along its length by an upper lateral wing 18 c first extending perpendicularly to said main wing 18 in the direction of the cabin 1, then then parallel and along the main wing 18, so as to form a slide.

According to a second preferred variant shown in FIG. 3 a , the latch 16 is constituted by a section section in “C” made up of the same main wing 18 which is bordered, in addition, by a lower lateral wing 18 d . The upper 18 c and lower 18 d lateral wings first extend perpendicular to said main wing 18 in the direction of the cabin 1 and then in the direction of one another, parallel to the main wing 18, so to form a slide, the upper lateral wing 18 c protruding from the side of the end 18 b cooperating with the flange 17, relative to the lower lateral wing 18 d .

De même, l'arrêt en rotation de la clenche 16 est alors réalisé par une butée prévue sur la porte palière 5.The chin 17 consists of a cutout made in the thickness of said railing 4, opening opposite the cabin 1 and delimited by a first edge 17 a horizontal, extended, downward and on the side of the cabin 1, by a second vertical edge 17 b , itself extended towards the outside of the cabin 1 by a third horizontal edge 17 c , itself extended upwards by a fourth vertical edge 17 d , itself extended upwards and towards the outside of cabin 1 by a fifth edge 17 e constituting an oblique ramp and extending by a sixth vertical edge 17 f ending vertically from the origin of the first edge 17 a , and at a distance from this first edge 17 a greater than the width of the main wing 18 of the latch 16. The second edge 17 b vertical, the third edge 17 c horizontal and the fourth edge 17 d vertical define a vertical slot intended to receive the end 18 b of latch 16 which, when e lle therein fully engaged, is inclined against below its axis of articulation perpendicular to the landing door 5. This first variant is shown in Figures 3 a and 3 b. A minimum variant ensuring proper operation is shown in Figure 3 c . The chin 17 only has the fourth vertical edge 17 d and the fifth edge 17 e constituting the oblique ramp. The stop in rotation of the landing door 5 is no longer then carried out by means of the latch 16, but by a joint cover, disposed along the outer vertical edge of the leaf of the landing door 5 and which comes to take support on the railing 4. Similarly, the stop in rotation of the latch 16 is then achieved by a stop provided on the landing door 5.

Said latch 16 cooperates with a stud projecting from the exterior surface of door 2 of cabin 1, which, when cabin 1 reaches the upper level, engages in the slide to lift the latch 16 out of the spar 17 and thus unlock the upper landing door 5. In the case where the main wing 18 of the latch 16 does not have a lower wing 18 d , this stud may consist of a rod, not shown in the figures, in the shape of an "L" whose leg is disposed horizontally and fixed, by its free end, perpendicular to the outer surface of door 2, so that the foot of the "L" is vertical and oriented upwards. In the context of the preferred variant shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, in which the main wing 18 of the latch 16 has a lower wing 18 d , the stud consists of a rod 19 in the shape of a "T" whose leg 19 a , arranged horizontally, is fixed, by its free end, perpendicular to the exterior surface of door 2 so that the horizontal bar 19 b of the "T" is vertical. When the cabin 1 arrives at the upper level, the upper end of the bar 19b of the "T" is inserted between the main wing 18 and the upper lateral wing 18c , on the side of the end 18 b of the latch 16, benefiting from this, the reduced length of the lower wing 18 d . The stud 19 is disposed on the door 2 of the cabin 1, so that, when said cabin 1 has reached its maximum height in the cage 3, said stud 19 has caused, in its vertical movement, the latch 16 sufficiently high, to that its end 18 b is located above the level of the sixth horizontal edge 17 f of the chin 17. The landing door 5 is thus unlocked. In addition, the length of the lower wing 18 d is such that, when the latch 16 has completed the rotational movement which has brought it into the unlocked position, the end of said lower wing 18 d is located below the 'lower end of the bar 19 b of the "T", as shown in solid lines in Figure 3 a . The stud 19 is then engaged by the two ends of the bar 19 b of its "T" in the slide formed by the upper lateral wings 18 c and lower 18 d of the latch 16. The landing door 5 and the door 2 of the cabin 1 are then secured in rotation around their respective joints, the opening or closing of one causing that of the other and vice versa. The offset between the articulations of the two doors 2 and 5 is compensated, during the operation of said doors 2 and 5 by the sliding of the bar 19b of the "T" in the slide formed by the upper side wings 18 c and lower 18 d . Obviously, the same result is obtained with the "L" nipple, which allows a simpler design, but which presents the risk of seeing the wing 18 of the latch 16, for example due to vibrations, jump and come off the foot of the "L", thus causing an accidental separation of doors 2 and 5.

In view of the descent from the upper level to the lower level, the cabin 1 being in a good place at the upper level, and the landing door 5 being consequently unlocked, the user, after having opened said landing door 5, and consequently , thus caused the opening of door 2 of cabin 1, enters inside said cabin 1 which it closes by pulling door 2, and consequently the landing door 5. If said door 2 is not sufficiently closed, the downward movement of the cabin 1 will be blocked by lower pressing of the leaf of said door 2 on the floor of the upper level. By cons if said door 2 is sufficiently closed to allow the descent of the cabin 1 but not enough to allow the hooking of the end 8 a of the lock arm 8 in the flange 12 disposed on the inner face of the door 2 , we are a priori in a doubly dangerous situation since, on the one hand, the cabin 1 will be able to execute its downward movement without its door 2 being locked, and on the other hand, the landing door 5 may possibly remain non locked, while cabin 1 will no longer be in a good position on the upper level. To remedy this drawback, the inclination and the length of the oblique ramp formed by the fifth edge 17 e of the chin 17 as well as the length of the stud 19 are determined so that, as soon as the position of the door 2 authorizes the movement lowering cabin 1, that is to say as soon as its leaf no longer exceeds above the ground of the upper level, the end 18 b of the latch 16 is located at least vertically from the upper part of said ramp. Thus, during the descent of the car 1, the latch 16 will descend initially driven by the pin 19, then, when the bar 19 b of the "T" will further on the lower side flange 18 of which will be erased by rotation, driven by its only weight, will slide along said ramp and come to be placed, by its end 18 b in the vertical slot of the chin 17, thus ensuring the locking and complete closing of the landing door 5 , by rotation of the latter around its articulation. In addition, this rotational movement is communicated by the landing door 5 to the door 2 by means of the stud 19, thus allowing the complete closure of said door 2, before the locking arm 8 has finished. its lowering movement driven by cooperation of the rear face 10 b of the cam 10 with the upper end 11a of the stop 11, thus ensuring the locking of the door 2 by gripping the free end 8a in the jib 12. The chronological order of occurrence of the different phases could, for example, be obtained thanks to the adapted profile of the cam 10. Likewise, as has already been said above, the length of the lower wing 18 d is chosen so that, when the latch 16 is at the bottom of the vertical slot of the chin 17, the stud 19 is free to continue its downward translation movement. Finally, the use of the oblique ramp of the chin 17 also allows, according to the same mechanism, to ensure complete closure and locking of the landing door 5 when the complete closure of the door 2 is not sufficient to obtain them, reason, for example, of the functional clearance existing between the stud 19 and the latch 16. Similar results are obtained with the "L" stud and the latch 16 devoid of lower lateral wing 18 d , the descent of said latch 16 being then caused by its weight alone. However, the risks of stalling and therefore of accidental detachment of the two doors 2.5 are greater.

  • According to a particular variant shown in Figures 2 and 5, the elevator according to the invention has at the lower level, a cage 3 'closed by a landing door 5' swing, normally locked, opening towards the outside of the cabin 1 according to an articulation arranged on the same side as that of door 2 of cabin 1. It is then provided with means making it possible, like those existing on the upper landing door 5:
  • to automatically secure in rotation around their respective articulation the door 2 of the cabin 1 and the lower landing door 5 ′ when the cabin 1 reaches the lower level,
  • to automatically separate the door 2 from the cabin 1 and the lower landing door 5 'when the cabin 1 leaves the lower level,
  • to provide, on downward movement of cabin 1, automatic unlocking of the lower landing door 5 ′ when cabin 1 reaches the lower level,
  • to automatically provide, on upward movement of the cabin 1 leaving the lower level, the complete closing of the landing door 5 'and of the door 2 of the cabin 1 and, simultaneously, the locking of said doors 2.5', the leaf of said door 2 having been previously pulled enough to allow the cabin 1 to climb.
Of course, the said means are here again all passive and fully mechanical type, consisting of cooperation of the nipple 19 with a slide, pivotally mounted in the plane of the lower landing door 5 ', on the side of the cabin 1, to constitute a latch 16 'coming to lock said landing door 5 'in a chin 17' integral with the railing 4 'and located opposite the articulation of said landing door 5 '.

The lower latch 16 ′ and the flange 17 ′ are the symmetrics of the latch 16 and the flange 17 with respect to a horizontal plane situated halfway between the lower and upper levels. The latch 16 'is therefore, for example, constituted by a sectional section in "L" consisting of a main wing 18' rotatably mounted by one of its ends 18 ' has in the plane of the landing door 5' around d 'an axis perpendicular to said door 5' and cooperating at its other end 18 ' b , with the chin 17' of the landing door 5 '. The main wing 18 'is bordered along its length by a lower lateral wing 18' d extending first perpendicularly to said main wing 18 'in the direction of the cabin 1 then then parallel and along the main wing 18 ', so as to form a slide. According to another preferred variant shown in FIG. 5, the latch 16 ′ is constituted by a sectional section in “C” consisting of the preceding main wing 18 ′ bordered along its length by a second upper lateral wing 18 ′ c . The two upper side wings 18 ′ c and lower 18 ′ d extend first perpendicularly to said main wing 18 ′ in the direction of cabin 1 and then in the direction of one another, parallel to the main wing 18 ', so as to form a slide, the lower lateral wing 18' d projecting, on the side of the end cooperating with the chin 17 ', relative to the upper lateral wing 18' c .

De même, l'arrêt en rotation de la clenche 16' est alors réalisé par une butée prévue sur la porte palière 5'.Likewise, said spar 17 ′ consists of a cutout made in the thickness of the railing 4 ′, opening opposite the cabin 1 and delimited by a first edge 17 ′ a horizontal, extended, upward and side of cabin 1, by a second vertical edge 17 ' b , itself extended towards the outside of cabin 1 by a third horizontal edge 17' c , itself extended downwards by a fourth edge 17 ' d vertical, itself extended downwards and towards the outside of the cabin 1 by a fifth edge 17 ' e constituting an oblique ramp and extending by a sixth edge 17' f vertical ending at the vertical of the origin of the first edge 17 a, and a distance from the first edge 17 is greater than the width of the main wing 18 'of the latch 16'. The second edge 17 ' b vertical, the third edge 17' c horizontal and the fourth edge 17 ' d vertical define a vertical slot intended to receive the end 18' b of the latch 16 'which, when it is there fully engaged, is inclined against the top of its hinge axis perpendicular to the landing door 5 '. The latch 16 ′ is, for this purpose, extended, beyond its axis of rotation, by a counterweight 20 ensuring its inclination against the top of its articulation axis and consequently, the locking of the landing door 5 ′ lower when the stud 19 is not engaged in the slide of said door 5 '. Such a device is shown in Figure 5. Any other equivalent means, ensuring the locking of the latch 16 ', such as a spring, would obviously not depart from the scope of the invention. According to a minimum variant ensuring proper operation, not shown in the figures, the jib 17 'has only the fourth edge 17' d vertical and the fifth edge 17 ' e constituting the oblique ramp. The stop in rotation of the landing door 5 ′ is no longer carried out by means of the latch 16 ′, but by a joint cover, disposed along the outer vertical edge of the leaf of the landing door 5 ′ and which comes to rest on the railing 4 '. Similarly, the stop in rotation of the latch 16 'is then achieved by a stop provided on the landing door 5'.

The operation described above, for the door level 5 of the upper level, of course also applies to the lower landing door 5 ', on the condition of reversing the sense of movement. This variant in which we have a 3 'cage on the lower level has the advantage to strictly prohibit any upward movement of the cabin 1, when door 2 is open, because the top of its flap then comes to rest on the top of the part of the railing 4 '. It is therefore not necessary to have a hoop above the leaf opening area of the door 2.

This variant nevertheless requires an arrangement additional in the form of a step 21, shown in Figure 2, integral with the upper level and having a cutout 22 authorizing the passage of the stud 19 provided on the door 2 of cabin 1. Indeed, in the case where only the upper level has a cage 3, it is possible to place the door 2 set back from the floor 6 of the cabin 1, and with it, the nipple 19. It then suffices that the latch 16 exceeds beyond the upper limit of the ground, at above the part of the floor 6 projecting from the door 2, to be able to cooperate with the nipple 19. This provision which has the advantage of being able to flush the floor 6 and the upper level floor, however, is no longer possible when using a lower landing door 5 ', because the floor 6 of cabin 1 would come into contact with the 16 'lower latch when lowering cabin 1. This is why the floor 6 of cabin 1 stops flush of door 2 of said cabin 1. We then fill the space between said floor 6 of cabin 1, in good position at upper level, and the upper level floor by a step 21.

Finally, in the case where, for reasons of arrangement of the location of the elevator, access to cabin 1 is not possible on the same face of said cabin 1 at the lower and upper levels, it is possible to very well, according to a variant not shown in the figures, replace one of the side walls 9,15 with a second cabin door 1. This second door will also have a stud on the inside of its leaf, in which will be accommodated, not Moreover, the end 8 a or 8 'has the locking arm 8 or 8', but the locking arm 8 or 8 'itself. Each of the two cabin doors may be provided with a stud and cooperate with its respective landing door, said landing doors 5 and 5 'no longer being located one below the other.
