- Lock according to Claim 5, characterized in that the cylindrical projection (42) also passes through a circular opening (44) in the adjacent side wall (17, 18) of the case (11) of the lock (1).
- Lock according to Claim 5 or 6, characterized in that it comprises means (59, 60) for guiding the rotation of the two followers (6, 7) one with respect to the other.
- Lock according to Claim 5, 6 or 7, characterized in that each follower (6, 7) has, on its cylindrical projection (42), a catching finger (45) extending radially towards the outside of this projection (42), and in that each cheek plate (12, 13) has, at the periphery of its circular opening (43), a complementary curved opening (46) designed to accommodate the said catching finger (45) and to allow the cheek plate (12, 13) to be rotated in the first direction under the action of the finger (45) of the corresponding follower (6, 7) without impeding the operation of the cheek plate (12, 13) using the key (4).

- Lock according to Claim 10, characterized in that the follower (6, 7) comprises a flange (54) the peripheral outline of which is in the shape of a circular sector (55) bounded at both ends by a tooth (56, 57) which projects radially outwards and is designed to drive a stub (58) of the rest (51, 52).
- Lock according to Claim 10, characterized in that each follower (6, 7) has a flange which has a radially directed cut-out (85) in which there slides a stub (86) which is designed to slide in an opening (87) in the corresponding rest (51, 52) which extends in the longitudinal direction (53) of the rod (47), the length of this opening (87) corresponding to the dead travel needed to allow the follower (6, 7) to return to its rest position after a manoeuvre of operating the rod (47) without causing the rod to move.
- Lock according to one of Claims 1 to 12, comprising, for each follower (6, 7), means (64, 65) designed to collaborate with a return spring (63) to return the follower (6, 7) to its rest position, characterized in that it comprises, for at least one follower (6, 7),a member (64, 65) mounted so that it can move inside the case (11) of the lock (1) and designed to move in a longitudinal direction (68) when the follower (6, 7) turns about its axis (8), in a first direction against the action of the said return spring (63), or in the opposite direction, under the action of the said spring (63),means (66) secured to the follower (6, 7) and designed to collaborate with complementary means (67) secured to the moving member (64, 65) to convert a rotational movement of the follower (6, 7) about its axis (8) into a longitudinal movement of the moving member (64, 65) and vice versa.

- Lock according to Claim 17, characterized in that the bolt (5) has, on its chamfer (104), a cavity (105) extending over a central part of the height of the said chamfer (104), and in that this cavity (105) houses a slide (106) extending over just part of the height of the said cavity (105) and able to move inside the said cavity (105) in the heightwise direction thereof.
- Lock according to Claim 18, characterized in that the slide (106) has a cross section such that it completely fills the cavity (105), its chamfer (110) reconstructing the chamfer (104) of the latch bolt (5).
