Definitions
- the suction space delimited by the edges of the suction mouth consists of one or two flow channels.
- the flow channels are incorporated into the sliding sole made of metal or plastic.
- the volume of the vacuum cleaner nozzles for household vacuum cleaners varies between 25 and 60 cm 3 .
- Such a vacuum cleaner nozzle is described for example in EP-A-0 125 994.
- the noise generated by the inflowing air is remarkable in the known designs.
- the suction chamber is not part of the sliding sole, but is made up of several interlocking molded parts formed on the sliding sole as well as on the nozzle housing molded or connected.
- the suction chamber points in A larger one compared to the former types Volume, in conjunction with a larger one Distance of the suction mouth edges from each other.
- a great distance between the suction mouth edges is however functional Disadvantages connected because when operating the vacuum cleaner nozzle due to the negative pressure prevailing in the suction chamber Ground-directed force acts on the nozzle housing, which the Area of the suction mouth is proportional. With increasing The distance between the suction mouth edges increases the pushing force, the for moving the vacuum cleaner nozzle in the working direction must be applied.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzles that come with are equipped with a large suction mouth, therefore point in the Usually additional support rollers in the area of the suction mouth on. It is expensive. These are also with these nozzles Noise caused by incoming air is still annoying.
- the suction space is generally the rule significantly larger because it has to take up the brush roller.
- the distance between the suction mouth edges is also larger and lies with the designs known from practice between 24 and 32 mm.
- the invention has for its object a static Specify vacuum cleaner nozzle of the construction described at the beginning, whose suction chamber is designed in such a way that it does not impair the suction properties the pushing force to Moving the vacuum cleaner nozzle and flow noise through inflowing air are as small as possible.
- the invention teaches that Suction chamber to reduce flow noise in the Suction operation on the air flowing in as large volume dimensioned flow contact space one in the working direction measured channel width, which is greater than the width of the measured between the suction mouth edges Suction mouth.
- the channel width of the suction chamber should be at least 1.3 times that between the suction mouth edges measured width of the suction mouth.
- the invention is based on the knowledge that a clear Reduction of flow noise can be achieved can, if the suction space as a flow calming space large dimensioned volume is formed.
- the noise reduction rests on the entire length the suction chamber sets an even suction vacuum, the air flows in evenly and noise-increasing speed peaks can be avoided.
- the suction space which is much larger than the area of the suction mouth, the average air speed is reduced. The result is a significant reduction in noise with constant suction power.
- the invention is also based on the knowledge that the distance of the Suction mouth edges do not have the practical experience with static Nozzles of known size may be enlarged because of a Enlargement of the suction mouth area with those already described functional disadvantages.
- the sliding sole is as Molding with a bottom surface, suction mouth edges and to the Formed on the top of the base surface molded collar, the collar on a hood-shaped, connecting end of the Suction air duct is in contact
- the hood-shaped connection end extends the measured across the working direction Width of the sliding sole.
- the preferably made of plastic existing sliding sole has the suction mouth edges and forms the lower part of the suction chamber. Up is the Suction chamber through another component, namely the hood-shaped Connection end of the suction air duct formed.
- the upper Part can be an integral part of the nozzle housing or also be designed as a separate component.
- the invention teaches that The sliding sole is pivotally mounted in the nozzle housing and that the collar has arc-shaped fitting surfaces, which slidably on seating surfaces of the hood-shaped Connect the end of the suction air duct.
- the Swivel angle is preferably approximately ⁇ 3 °.
- the tilting movement of the suction mouth improves the suction properties at. In particular, the dust pickup better, while also reducing the pushing force.
- the Suction air duct is expediently designed in two parts and consists of an upper half of the housing and a lower half Half of the housing, with the lower half of the housing hood-shaped connection end is formed.
- the Suction chamber consists of a hollow profile, which between the Sliding sole and the inlet of the suction air duct arranged is and on its underside one adapted to the suction mouth Air inlet slot and one on top Has connection opening for the suction air duct.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle shown in the figures works without brush roller.
- the basic structure includes Nozzle housing 1, a suction air duct arranged in the nozzle housing 1 2 and one connected to the nozzle housing 1 Sliding sole 3. Furthermore, the vacuum cleaner nozzle in on known manner support rollers at the rear end of the Nozzle housing, retractable and extendable bristle strips and / or have a wiper lip for vacuuming smooth floors.
- the sliding sole 3 has a suction mouth 4, which of a in the working direction of the front suction mouth edge 5 and one is limited in the working direction rear suction mouth edge 5 '.
- the suction air duct 2 opens into a suction chamber 6, which in the Cross-section is shown and is transverse to the working direction essentially across the width of the sliding sole 3 extends and ends at the bottom with the suction mouth 4.
- the figures show that they are in the working direction measured channel width B of the suction chamber 6 is greater than that between the suction mouth edges 5, 5 'measured width a des Suction mouth 4.
- the ratio between the channel width B of the Suction chamber 6 and the width a of the suction mouth 4 should be at least 1.3 amount, with 1.5 and 2.5 being preferred.
- the one at the Suction mouth 4 adjacent suction chamber 6 is used as a flow calming chamber large-sized and funnel-shaped into the suction air duct 2.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle according to the invention is characterized by good suction properties based on the fact that a uniform over the entire length of the suction chamber 6 Vacuum sets the air evenly over the entire Length of the suction mouth 4 flows and the air speed within the suction chamber 6 by the corresponding large dimensioned suction chamber cross section is small. There are flow noises caused by incoming air largely eliminated. Due to the compliance with the invention narrow suction mouth 4 is the force with which the Sliding sole 3 is pressed against the floor to be cleaned, relatively small, and the pushing force with which the Vacuum cleaner nozzle is movable in the working direction, remains in an acceptable order of magnitude.
- Fig. 1 is the Sliding sole 3 as a molded part with a bottom surface, suction mouth edges 5, 5 'and molded onto the top of the bottom surface Collar 7 formed.
- the collar 7 is against one hood-shaped connection end 8 of the suction air duct 2.
- the Suction air duct 2 is part of the nozzle housing 1.
- the nozzle housing 1 consists of an upper one Housing half 9 and a lower housing half 9 ', wherein to the lower housing half 9 'the hood-shaped connection end 8 is molded. 1 shows that the Sliding sole 3 can be pivoted, e.g. by a tilt angle of ⁇ 3 °, is stored in the nozzle housing 1.
- the collar 7 has arcuate curved mating surfaces on the sliding Seating surfaces of the hood-shaped connection end 8 of the suction air duct 2 concerns.
- Suction chamber 6 from a hollow profile 10, which between the Sliding sole 3 and the inlet of the suction air duct 2 is arranged and on its underside one to the Suction mouth 4 adapted air inlet slot and at his Top side a connection opening for the suction air duct 2 having.
