- The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the linear motor (1) is arranged to receive from the printing quality control system a start-of-marking signal and end-of-marking signal depending on the size of the print (3a) and on the speed of advance of the printing carrier (3).
- The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the angle between the direction of movement of the moving part of the linear motor (1, 2) and the direction of movement of the printing carrier (3) is 90°.
