Description

The invention relates to a fitting for connecting a foldable piece of furniture, in particular a folding bed, to a wall or the like, which has a holding part and a wall-side fastening part with a web and a side remote from the wall with the holding part parallel to the wall, at least partially has overlapping attachment surface, the holding part being rotatably connectable to the fastening part at at least two points of the attachment surface, the fastening part for positioning the holding part on the web being provided with a guide surface for the holding part and bearings for the piece of furniture on the holding part, for at least one swivel foot linkage of the piece of furniture and / or for devices for damping or relieving weight during the pivoting movement of the piece of furniture are provided.

In particular where space is limited, pieces of furniture that are only used temporarily are designed to be foldable in order to save space. For example, folding tables are just as common as so-called "wall beds", which are hinged inside cabinet-like housings and can be swung up into the housing after use, where they are housed in a space-saving manner for the duration of their non-use. Appropriate fittings are used to connect the foldable pieces of furniture to the associated walls.

For example, in the case of folding beds, in addition to a rotary bearing for the bed frame, storage for a linkage is provided on these fittings, by means of which the pivotable feet of the folding bed are pivoted into a position parallel or perpendicular to the bed frame when the bed frame is folded in or out will. In addition, auxiliary devices are used in particular in the case of relatively heavy pieces of furniture, which dampen the movement of the piece of furniture when it is unfolded and facilitate its folding in by relieving the weight. Such additional parts, such as gas springs, are also supported on one side on the fittings.

To simplify and accelerate the assembly on site, folding beds are supplied by the manufacturer with pre-assembled fittings connected to the fitting-side bearing points of the gas spring and the swivel linkage.

This ensures that the folding bed swivels smoothly and to avoid damage to the folding bed or the bed cabinet as a result of a tilting of the bed frame inside the cabinet, the bed frame in the bed cabinet must be aligned exactly. This is done by appropriate adjustment and subsequent fixation of the fittings on the cabinet walls.

Exact installation, however, encounters great difficulties with conventional fittings.

From DE-A-20 56 426 a generic fitting is known, on which a storage pocket open at the bottom is used as the fastening part. During installation, an angle plate serving as a holding part is to be inserted into this from below. Then the angle plate of the known fitting is screwed to a bracket for the folding bed.

Such fittings are disadvantageously extremely unfriendly when installing the folding bed in question: on the one hand, the angle plate can only be inserted into the storage bag from the underside of the storage bag, which is not readily visible to the installer. Furthermore, the angle plate must be supported against the effect of the weight force until it is fixed to the support for the folding bed. The latter circumstance makes it almost impossible to mount the two angle plates of the folding bed in the case of the known fitting in a structural unit with the bed frame and possibly various attachments, such as weight damping springs. Because of the relatively high dead weight of the overall arrangement, it can only be used with make great efforts in their assembly position before the connections can be made with the carrier of the folding bed.

The invention is based on the object of providing a fitting which allows simplified assembly of foldable pieces of furniture.

Absinken in Schwerkraftrichtung. This object is achieved in that the fastening part is designed as a bracket-like fastening plate on a fitting of the type mentioned at the outset, the fastening part being connectable to the wall at at least two points of the web, the web with the guide surface in the installed position, the holding part at its in Under the gravitational direction downward-facing surface and the shoulder area protrudes from the web. Because of its design as a bow-like plate with a projection surface projecting from the web, the fastening part of the fittings according to the invention is small in size and accordingly easy to handle. With its guide surface under the holding part, the web of the fastening part secures the holding part against undesired slipping or sinking in the direction of gravity already during assembly. At the same time, between the wall on which the foldable piece of furniture is to be attached and the attachment surface of the fastening part there is an insert for the holding part which is clearly visible to the installer because it is open at the top.

Such two-part fittings allow pieces of furniture, in particular folding beds to be provided with preassembled fitting parts, the bearings of which have already been connected by the manufacturer to the respective bearing devices, for example on the bed frame, the swivel foot linkage and / or the gas spring. At the same time, the entire folding bed arrangement does not have to be handled for the exact positioning and fixing of the folding bed in the interior of the bed cabinet. Rather, it is sufficient to merely adjust and fasten the fitting parts serving as fastening parts and not preassembled on the folding bed, for example with the aid of an installation gauge, on the inner walls of the bed cabinet. When installing folding beds, the entire folding bed arrangement with the retaining parts of the fittings preassembled thereon can then be attached to the respective fastening parts, at least temporarily supported by means of these and finally connected to them. Because of the devices provided on the fastening parts for positioning the holding parts, the entire folding bed arrangement is easily exactly aligned when the holding parts are attached to the adjusted fastening parts.

After the fastening part can be connected to the wall at at least two points of the web and to the holding part at at least two points of the attachment surface, the folding bed can be aligned with a minimum of fastening devices and fixed to the walls of the bed cabinet. The stated design of the fastening part makes it possible, when inserting the folding bed arrangement into the bed cabinet, to hold the pre-assembled holding parts on the folding bed in the between the attachment surface of the fastening part and insert the remaining gap into the wall unit. In this position, the holding parts and thus the entire folding bed arrangement are also fixed in the transverse direction to the cabinet wall. In order to avoid a slag play of the holding part used in the gap remaining between the attachment surface and the wall, it is expedient if the protrusion which the web has transversely to the pivoting movement of the piece of furniture relative to the attachment surface and which defines the gap width between the cabinet wall and the attachment surface in corresponds approximately to the thickness of the holding part.

Also in the sense of simplifying assembly, in the case of a preferred embodiment of the fitting according to the invention it is provided that the attachment surface for connection to the holding part on two spaced-apart fastening tabs each has a bore, which in the desired position of the holding part each has an associated hole on the holding part swear.

If the web has a protrusion forming a guide surface on both sides transversely to the pivoting direction of the furniture piece relative to the attachment surface, then a single embodiment of the fastening parts can be attached to both the right and the left wall. The advantages resulting from the right-left usability of the fastening parts for the storage of the fitting parts are as obvious as the simplification of the assembly work, in which it is no longer necessary to pay attention to which wall of the bed cabinet which embodiment of fastening parts can be assigned to.

Particularly in the case of relatively heavy pieces of furniture, it is advisable to use fittings whose holding part is not only fastened to the associated fastening part, but also can be connected directly to the wall.

The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of schematic representations of an exemplary embodiment.

The embodiment of a fitting 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a fastening part 2 designed as a fastening bracket and a holding part 3 designed as a bearing plate. The fitting 1 serves to fasten a folding bed 4 to a wall of a bed cabinet, not shown. The folding bed 4 is rotatably held on a bed frame 5 by means of a bearing eye 6 on a bearing axis 7 of the bearing plate 3. The bearing plate 3 also has a bearing axis 8 for a swivel foot linkage 9 and a bearing axis 10 for a gas spring 11. At their ends facing away from the bearing plate 3 and not shown in FIG. 1, the swivel foot linkage 9 and the gas spring 11 are mounted on the bed frame 5. The mounting bracket 2 is fastened by means of screw connections 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 to the side wall of the bed cabinet, not shown. The screw connections 15, 16 serve at the same time for fastening the bearing plate 3, which is also fixed to the wall by means of screw connections 17, 18.

2 and 3, the mounting bracket 2 has a web 19 with bores 12a, 13a, 14a, and an attachment surface 20 with bores 15a, 16a. The material thickness of the web 19 exceeds the material thickness of the attachment surface 20. As a result, the web projects beyond the attachment surface 20 in the transverse direction on both sides with an overhang by the amount d.

At the transition between the web 19 and the attachment surface 20 there are guide surfaces 21, 22 extending perpendicular to the attachment surface 20. The shape of the guide surfaces 21, 22 of the mounting bracket 2 are matched to the outer contour of the bearing plate 3 shown in FIG. 4.

For installation in a bed cabinet, the folding bed 4 is supplied by the manufacturer with a pre-assembled bearing plate 3. The bed frame 5, the swivel foot linkage 9 and the gas spring 11 on the bearing axles 7, 8, 10 are connected to the bearing plate 3. When installing the folding bed 4, a mounting bracket 2 is first attached to both walls of the bed cabinet concerned. This is expediently carried out with the aid of an installation gauge which specifies the position of the screw connections 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 on the cabinet walls lying opposite one another. The fastening brackets 2 are initially screwed to the respective wall only at the bores 12a, 13a, 14a. After fixing the mounting bracket 2, the arrangement consisting of two bearing plates 3, the bed frame 5, the swivel foot linkage 9 and the gas spring 11 can be inserted into the interior of the cabinet. The bearing plates 3 are each attached with a side surface 23 to the guide surface 21 or to the guide surface 22 of the fastening bracket 2 screwed to the walls. Due to their shape, the guide surfaces 21, 22 act as guides for the side surfaces 23 of the bearing plates 3. In addition, the mounting brackets 2 cover the bearing plates 3 with their attachment surfaces 20. As shown in FIG. 5, the thickness of the bearing plates 3 corresponds to the protrusion of the webs and Consequently the width of the gap that results on the mounted mounting brackets 2 between the wall of the bed cabinet and the attachment surface 20. As a result, the bearing plates 3 can be moved with their side surfaces 23 along the guide surfaces 21, 22 of the mounting bracket 2 and are also guided without play in the transverse direction to the side walls of the bed cabinet.

When the bores 15a and 16a of the mounting bracket 2 are aligned with the bores 15b and 16b of the bearing plates 3, the bearing plates 3 and thus the folding bed arrangement attached to them are exactly aligned. In this position, the bearing plates 3 can be screwed to the mounting brackets 2 by means of the screw connections 15, 16 and fixed to the cabinet walls. If the weight of the folding bed requires it, the bearing plates 3 can additionally be screwed to the walls at the bores 17a, 18a.
