Description

The invention relates to a device for forming itself extending perpendicularly to the printed sheets standing in a row Stack according to the preamble of the claim 1.

One with the designation 327 under the Muller Martini brand known pole boom or device for education a stack of printed sheets standing next to each other (Muller Martini company brochure "The boom 327 - Automation in the medium performance range ", print date 4.86), will the latter in partial scale flows, corresponding to the length of one stack to be formed, in the vertical conveying direction of a support fed from two parallel, endless revolving chains. The one made up of circulating bands and the horizontal powered pad forming stack is at its front like on the back by one of support elements end plate adjoining the chain. In this relative The stack becomes loose in the direction of its extension between two pliers parts of a press, which compress the stack from the ends and then laid laterally for strapping.

In another known device called 244 is the stack formed on the rotating chains through a crimping tool is pressed from the chains, lifted off and moved laterally in the pressed state for strapping.

The formation of the rod-like stacks is with these facilities tied to the division of the chains receiving the stack, i.e. also that changing the stack length is only limited and is possible with a relatively high workload. Furthermore, several discontinuous work steps are required that perform in different directions and levels are.

Finally, there is a facility for dividing one Stacks of printed products known (AT-B-393 820), which only supplies relatively loosely stacked partial stacks, which too a separate strapping station about their construction nothing is known to have to be transported.

The object of the present invention is therefore a device to create that takes up less space and with which the shortcomings listed above can largely be remedied.

According to the invention the task according to the features of characterizing part of claim 1 solved.

This creates the significant benefit that comes in shingled streams fed sheet without interruption on a short rectilinear processing line in compact, strapped Convert stacks.

1 shows the device 1 according to the invention for forming a stack which extends perpendicularly to the printed sheets which are lined up in a standing manner.
The printed sheets are in the present example on a conveyor 2, after they have been previously centered or aligned and then the existing fold has been pressed, in the form of a shingled stream or subsequent partial shingled streams, which determine the length of the stack to be produced, in approximately the vertical direction from fed to a horizontal stacking support 3 above. In the case of a multi-sheet design, the printed sheets are set down approximately vertically with the fold ahead on the stacking support 3 and stack-forming on the stacking support 3 on a displaceable supporting structure 4 which is located at the end of the conveying device 2 and carries an end plate 5 which forms the front end of the stack dammed up, the supporting structure 4 being driven at a speed of the stack structure on a guide arrangement 6 which extends in parallel along the stack support 3. This situation is indicated in FIG. 2.
A separating device 8, which can be activated next to the conveying end of the conveying device 2 outside the effective stacking support 3, is inserted between two of the supplied printing sheets as soon as the front of the two determined printing sheets is at least approximately on the stacking support 3. This process takes place by displacing the separating device 8 in the direction of the stack formation and can be favored in terms of reliability if, before the end of the conveying device 2, the scale flow is interrupted by a gap forming device in partial scale flows or the distance between two printed sheets is increased.
Ie it should be noted that the dimension of the separating elements 9 projecting from the stack support 3 is less than the scale spacing of two printed sheets.
The separating device 8 is arranged in pairs at a distance transversely to the direction of the stack formation, and each separating device 8 in turn has two partial pairs formed from a separating element 9 and a supporting element 10, which are arranged opposite one another along the stack support in a mirror image.

Inserting the separator 8 between two printed sheets takes place with adjoining partial pairs and superscript Separating elements 9, whereupon at least in the lower area stacked printed sheets the formation of individual piles arises.

In the course of the further stack formation, the separating elements 9 are separated from one another to form a larger gap in the stack 7. Thereupon, the support elements 10 accompanying the separating elements 9 are moved into the gap to such an extent that they can supportively separate the emerging rear end of the leading stack from the front end of the following stack 7. 3 shows the separating elements 9 and support elements 10 (alternatively) laterally offset, although they are arranged approximately in alignment transversely to the stack movement direction.
When the support elements 10 are ejected, the separating elements 9 are withdrawn from the stack 7, as is illustrated in FIG. 4. While the rear support elements 10 delimit the front end of a stack that is forming again, the front support elements 10 follow on the rear side of the complete stack 7.
As illustrated in FIG. 1, the stack support 3 can be formed at least in the front region of the stack formation section by belts 45 which are driven endlessly in the stack formation direction, so that an optional pre-compression of the stack 7 can be achieved.
The belts 45 can be driven both independently and depending on the stack formation speed.
After a distance traveled on the stack support 3, an end plate 12, which forms the rear end of the preceding stack 7, is lifted from a lateral magazine 13 and behind the stack 7 with a further supporting structure 11, which, like the supporting structure 4, is displaced on the guide arrangement 6 installed leaning against the support elements 10. Then the support elements 10 can be lowered below the stack support 3, whereupon the stack 7 rests with the back on the end plate 12. 4 shows the provisional lifting of the end plate 12 from a plate magazine 13 to approximately the height of the stacking support 3.
In the meantime, after further transport, the stack 7 is pressed together on the stack support 3 by the supporting structures 4 and 11 which transport it and then tied in a strapping device 14 arranged at the end of the stack support 3 (see FIG. 1).

The bound stack 7 is then made using the supporting structures 4 and 11 placed on a lateral transport device.

The Structures 4 and 11 now have one on their magazine 13 facing side for the front end of the in production located stack 7 certain end plate 5 added and move this to the front of yourself continuously forming stack 7.

5 shows the last working step in which the end plate 5 is displaced transversely to the stack support 3 in front of the partial stack, so that the support elements 10 at the front of the partial stack are then lowered below the stack support 3.
Thereafter, the structure 11 is moved back into the end plate removal position of the end plate magazine 13.
It is to be added that the supporting structures 4, 11 each have a pressure plate pair 15, 16, 17, 18 which can be displaced laterally above or from the stack support 3, of which the pressure plates 15, 17 facing the end plate magazine 13 are also used for removal or. the installation of the end plates 12 are determined in the stack.

6 shows an embodiment according to the device 1 according to the invention, in particular the guide arrangement 6 and the drive and actuating members.
The guide arrangement 6 consists, inter alia, of two parallel guide rails 19, 20, which run parallel to one another and run in the direction of stack formation, and are fastened to a machine stand or frame and on which the supporting structures 4 and 11 are movably supported. For this purpose, a table-shaped support 21 is provided, on which the drive and actuation members are attached. An adapter 22 screwed onto the support 21 has a bearing journal 23 on which a roller 24 engaging in the guide rail 20 rotates.
The guide arrangement 6 for the supporting structures 4, 11, which runs parallel to this above the stacking support 3, also applies as a suspension device for the drive and actuating elements of the device according to the invention.
The guide arrangement 6 has at least approximately the length of the production line of a stack from the impact of the shingled stream on the stack support 3 to the finished stack 7 at the end of a press 25. The supports 21 of the supporting structures 4, 11 laterally protrude from the stack support 3 and have on their underside a guide rod 26 which extends transversely to the direction of movement of the supporting structures 4, 11 and is fastened to both lateral support ends. On the guide rod 26 of each supporting structure 4, 11, two downwardly projecting pliers parts 27, 28 are mounted such that they can be moved laterally, the lateral movement distance of a pliers part 27, 28 approximately from the vertical plane in the longitudinal center axis of the stacking support 3 to the lateral edge of the support 21 is measured. Here, the guide rod section assigned to the pliers part 28 for removing the end plate 12 from the magazine 13 is made longer.
The lateral displacement of the pliers parts 27, 28 on the guide rod 26 takes place via a traction mechanism gear 29, which is connected to a motor 30 on the drive side. The traction mechanism gear 29 consists of a drive wheel 31 on the motor shaft and a gear 32 mounted on the pliers part 27, 28, which rotate about vertical axes and are drive-connected by a toothed belt 33.
Of course, instead of a geared motor 30 and traction mechanism gear 29 for the lateral drive of the tong parts, pneumatic or hydraulic actuating means such as piston-cylinder units could be used at least in part, provided that they are suitable for a synchronous drive.

The stabilization of the pliers parts 27, 28 with respect to the direction of movement forming a stack is achieved - as shown in more detail in FIG. 7 - by a cantilever 36 having a roller 35 which engages in a guide link 34 at a free end connected to the pliers part 27, 28 , wherein the guide link 34 is attached to the underside of the support 21, on its side running transversely to the stack movement direction. The transverse guidance of the pliers parts 27, 28 is achieved by their (releasable) attachment to the arm 36 which is displaceably mounted on the guide rod 26. A total of four of the drive units just described as possible for the lateral movement of the tong parts 27, 28, ie two drive units for a supporting structure 4, 11, are provided on the guide arrangement 6 for the production of stacks 7.
Due to the band to be passed through between the pliers parts 27, 28 in the case of a simple strapping, the individual pliers parts 27, 28 are formed above the stack 7 indicated by dash-dotted lines by adjacent recesses which form a free space 43 for the upper band guide 44.
6 shows the lateral end positions of the pliers parts 27, 28 on the one hand with an extended line in the stacking position (inside) and on the other hand with dash-dotted lines in the return position of a supporting structure 4, 11 (outside), the pliers part 28 in the laterally offset position for receiving end plates 12 has a more distant side position from the end plate magazine 13.

The longitudinal drive of the structures 4, 11 above the stack formation is done according to FIG. 6 by a lying Gear motor 37 which is fixed on the support 21 and by a drive pinion 38 with one on the guide rail 19 attached rack 39 combs.

An extension 42 of the shaft carrying the drive pinion 38 41 of the transmission 40 connects the opposite, not shown Drive pinion with the mirror image arranged Guide rail 20 over the same rack 39.

The rest of the constructive details are known to the person skilled in the art Figures 6 and 7 conveyed.

Das Umreifungsband 47 wird einer Trommel 48 entnommen und von unten über eine den Stapel 7 umgebende Führung angelenkt sowie an den Enden verschweisst.1, the stack formation section is on the stack support 3 is followed by a strapping device 14 which between the pliers parts 27, 28 approximately in the longitudinal axis of the stack 7 extending section of a tape guide 44, the front vertical tape guide section 46 to pass the stack into the strapping device 14 is designed to be lowerable. The strapping 47 becomes one Drum 48 removed and from below over a stack 7 surrounding Guide articulated and welded at the ends.

With the present device 1, the stack 7 formed can can be strapped one or more times, a possibility that can be over the control of the structures 4, 11 and pressure plates 15 to 18 is to be made.
