- A housing part of an electric connector of the type comprising a body (1) having a general parallelipidic shape, consisting of a series of channels (7), each intended to receive an electric contact part (10), having a thin part (15) and a locking key (25) at an intermediary point in its length, to block the electric contact parts (10) in the channels, said electric contact part (10) being intended to receive complimentary parts engaged via an extremity (1a) of body (1), characterised in that the locking key (25) is comprised of a U-shaped element having two wings (27 & 28) and a core (26), the first wing (27) being inserted into an aperture (18) of the body (1) transversely to channels (7), whilst the second wing (28) is guided to the extremity (1a) of the body intended to receive the complimentary parts of the electric contact parts (10), the first wing (27) comprising holes (30) correspondinq to channels (7), and having a part (30a) having dimensions such that they can be traversed by parts (10) and a lateral recess (30b) corresponding to the thin parts (15) of said electric contact parts (10), whilst the second wing (28) has a series of openings (33) intended to coincide with channels (7) for the passage of the complimentary parts, the means being provided to immobilize the key in a first pre-locking position, in which part (30a) of holes (30) whose dimensions correspond to those of the parts coinciding with channels (7) and openings (33) of the second wing (28) are displaced with regard to said channels (7), and a second locking position in which the thin parts of electric contact parts are inserted into recesses (30b) and in which the openings (33) are situated to the right of the channels (7).
- A housing part of an electric connector according to claim 1, characterised in that body (1) comprises an arrangement (20) intended to receive the core (26) of the locking key (25) when this latter takes up the locking position.
- A housing part of an electric connector according to claim 1, characterised in that the body comprises two slots (22,23) displaced transversely on the body, whilst the locking key (25) has a projection (35) arranged in one of the slots (22) in the pre-locking position and in the other (23), in the locking position.
- A housing part of an electric connector according to claim 3, characterised in that the locking key (25) comprises a toe (36) displaced longitudinally on the key so as to be situated closer to the core than the projection, said toe having an incline (36a) on the side of the projection, and a sheer face (36b) on the opposing side, said toe is arranged in slot (22) corresponding to the pre-locking position of projection (35).
