Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Abfüllung von Getränken nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 sowie eine Vorrichtung gemäß Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 6 zur Durchführung eines solchen Verfahrens.The invention relates to a method for filling drinks according to the preamble of claim 1 and a device according to the preamble of claim 6 for performing such a method.

In der Getränkeindustrie werden üblicherweise Fässer mit eingeschraubten, automatisch selbstschließenden Ventilen verwendet. Diese Fässer werden als Kegs und die selbstschließenden Ventile als Fittings bezeichnet. Bei den Fässern handelt es sich um Mehrweggebinde, die aufgrund der in der Lebensmittelindustrie üblichen hohen Sauberkeitsanforderungen vor dem Befüllen gereinigt und mit Dampf und/oder einem anderen geeigneten Sterilisationsmittel sterilisiert werden. Nach dem Reinigungs- und/oder Sterilisationsvorgang, der üblicherweise auf einem Reinigungskopf der Abfüllanlage erfolgt, wird das Keg auf einen Füllkopf aufgesetzt, der an eine Produktzuleitung angeschlossen ist. Da der Füllkopf vor dem Aufsetzen des Kegs der Umgebungsluft ausgesetzt war, werden üblicherweise die Zuleitungen und der Füllkopf kurzzeitig mit Wasser gespült, um die in den Rohrleitungen und dem Füllkopf enthaltene Luft zu entfernen. Es ist auch bekannt, die Luft aus dem Rohrsystem mittels eines kurzzeitigen Dampfstoßes zu entfernen, wobei die hohe Strömungsgeschwindigkeit des Dampfes ausgenutzt wird. Getränke werden im allgemeinen bei kalten Temperaturen abgefüllt; so erfolgt die Abfüllung von Bier üblicherweise bei Temperaturen zwischen -2 und +4° C und die Abfüllung alkoholfreier Getränke bei etwa 6 - 8° C. Daher sind die Metalloberflächen des Füllkopfes beim Aufsetzen des Kegs noch durch die Füllung eines zuvor behandelten Kegs kalt. Bei den aus dem Stand der Technik bekannten Verfahren wird zwar die Luft aus dem System entfernt, alle Keime auf den kalten Oberflächen des Füllkopfes aber nicht beseitigt oder abgetötet. Diese Aufgabe wird mit der Erfindung durch die Merkmale des Anspruchs 1 gelöst. Hierbei wird berücksichtigt, daß es zum Erreichen einer ausreichenden Sterilität der Metalloberfläche erforderlich ist, die Sterilisation in Abhängigkeit von der Sterilisationstemperatur über eine bestimmte Dauer durchzuführen. So muß bspw. bei einer Sterilisationstemperatur von 63°C die Metalloberfläche ca. 15 Min. dieser Temperatur ausgesetzt werden und bei einer Sterilisationstemperatur von 72°C etwa 30 Sek.This object is achieved with the invention by the features of claim 1. Claims (8)

  1. A method for filling drinks into casks, in particular into barrels such as kegs, in which method the cask (1) with a fitting (2) is placed on a filling head (3), characterised in that the filling head (3), and an outer surface (8) - facing the filling head - of the fitting (2), are sterilised before the fitting (2) is opened and before the drink to be filled is conveyed, and in that, in order to check the sterilisation process, the temperature of the filling head (3) during sterilisation and the duration of the sterilisation are measured.
  2. A method according to Claim 1, characterised in that the measured temperature of the filling head (3) and the measured duration of the sterilisation are converted into Pasteur units, and in that the sterilisation process is terminated when a fixed number of Pasteur units is reached.
  3. A method according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the sterilisation is done with steam.
  4. A method according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the sterilisation is done with a disinfectant.
  5. A method according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the filling head (3) is rinsed with water before sterilisation.
  6. An arrangement for carrying out a method according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, having a filling head (3) to which product-liquid and/or a sterilisation agent can be conveyed through at least one feed-pipe (7, 9), and having a temperature sensor (11) in the filling bead (3), characterised in that the filling-head temperature can be measured with the temperature sensor (11), and in that a device for detecting the duration of the sterilisation of the filling head (3), and a control unit whereby the sterilisation process can be terminated depending on the temperature and duration of the sterilisation, are provided.
  7. An arrangement according to Claim 6, characterised in that the temperature sensor (11) is arranged at the most highly cooled point in the filling head (3).
  8. An arrangement according to Claim 6 or 7, characterised in that the temperature sensor (11) is arranged in the region of the attachment of the product feed-pipe (7) to the filling head (3).
