Abstract
The umbrella is composed by a cilindrical part (1) having in continuing a flared part (2) which comes to form in opening the support for the frame of of the covering (16) while in closing it permits the containment of the same covering into the said cylindrical part (1). Said re-entering of the covering (16) is permitted by a system of levers with ribs (14 and 15) which during no use letting down the knob (8) in central conversion come to re-ender into the cylindrical part (1) while for the umbrella opening, pushed the push-button (22) it is disarmed the hook (9) permitting by a spring (20) the rising for sliding of all the system of levers with ribs (14 and 15) which brings the lenght of material (16) in opening.
Description
- The invention refers to a new kind of umbrella which substantially foresees a covering formed by an elastic length of material bore by a system of rib levers which, during no use, come to automatically re-enter in simultaneous central conversion into the cylindrical container-handle gripping for the transport. Said cylindrical container-handle in this way comes to act during use as bearing connected with the covering, being the position adjustment permits by the elastic nature of the length of material, while during no use the container-handle acts the containment of the same lenght of material in the slightest size condition such its edges come to place onto themself because of the system of rib levers re-entering in conversion into the cylindrical housing. The umbrella, necessary in case of weather, actually is formed to a rod with grip, a ferrule for its placing on the ground and ribs which bear the covering and it is generally completed by a string for holding the same in closing and by a tubular umbrella-case into which the same is put during no use so reducing its encumbrance by approach ing containment of the covering edges. In comparison to this said conventional umbrella the invented means realizes a lot of advantages such it permits an automatical closing by a system making to re-enter the ribs of the moving system into the supporting container-handle, so making essential the agibility, and in closing it avoids the encumbrance and the flapping of the covering lenght of material consequently avoiding to wet the surrounding. Moreover said invented device avoids the necessity to use an accessory, the umbrella-case, such the cylindrical rod internally acts as housing of the covering, it excludes the necessity of a grip with crooked end and it is transported also to shoulder by a normal baldric or other. In particular the linear shape in closing condition of the invented umbrella permits its favourable use for the driver who can from the steering cabin make to go out from the slightly open door the umbrella, slantwise oriented upward, and then drives its opening so going out from the car completely protected by the precipitation. He can moreover drive its closing from the car inside after having put near the door to the opening umbrella always in complete condition protection from the precipitation. The umbrella can then be placed onto the car inside in each point being the wet lenght of material reentered into the container-handle which remains externally dry. Substantially the invented umbrella foresees for the support in opening and for the containment in closing of the covering a rod formed by a hollow linear body made by a
cylindrical part 1 upper having in continuing aflared part 2 opened by amouth 3. On the other end of thecylindrical part 1 is foreseen acover 4 withcentral hole 5 where is passing a flexible cable 6 feeding by an outer roller 7 placed downly into aknob 8 lower ending of said container-handle. The elastic cable 6 is connected by ahook 9 to apin 10 of the opening device axially to which slide a mobile disk 11 and asliding part 12 bringing on links 13 a system or ribs 14 in their turn articulated to ribs 15 supporting the elastic lenght of material of covering 16. Saidribs 15 are moreover articulated bylinks 17 to a disk 18 connected with thepin 10. It is then foreseen between the disk 18 and the sliding part 12 acoil spring 19 which in opening phase acts in holding the position maintenance of the covering, and between the disk 11 and thecover 4 is foreseen acoil spring 20 having the function to push toward the going out the same disk 11, thesliding part 12 and all the elements connected with it. Inside thecover 4 is placed a blockingtooth 21 connected to a push-button 22 and kept in position by acoil spring 23. For om- brella opening, gripping with a hand the initial part of thecylindrical part 1, is pushed the push-button 22 which disarms thehook 9 permitting through thespring 20 the raising by sliding into the housing of the rod of the disk 11 and of all the opening device to thebeating point 24. In this way is actuated the complete going out of the system of levers formed by theribs fulcrums spring 19 which comes to bring the elastic lenght ofmaterial 16 in opening. In such opening condition theribs 14 come to rest on the border of themouth 3 while the action group remains connected to theknob 8 by the flexible cable 6 and connected to the disk 11 by the beatingpart 28 of thehook 9. Between these two said elements is foreseen acoil spring 27 acting as shock absorber. To make the closing taking with a hand the container-handle with the other one is let down theknob 8 which, by the cable 6, makes to re-enter thepin 10 and with it the opening device acting the resting on thering 26 of theribs 14 forming in central conversion the re-entering of the system ofribs flared part 2, of the disk 11 and of thepin 10 so to avoid the rotation of the lenght ofmaterial 16 and of the connected devices in comparison with the same container-handle 1. Schematic version of the invented device is illustrated in the drawings ofsheets sheet 1 fig. 1 is perspective view of the closed umbrella slantwise gripping to permit the opening from the car cabin. Fig. 2 is view of the same umbrella of fig. 1 but in opening. Fig. 3 is section longitudinal view of the initial part of the container-handle to show all the elements in closing condition. Insheet 2 fig. 4 is section longitudinal view of the container-handle with the elements of the opening group in intermediate phase. Insheet 3 fig. 5 is longitudinal section view of the container-handle with the lenght of material of the covering in opening. In the re- alizations: the materials, the shape of the elements and the particularities of the opening and closing device can be different foreseen in relation to the different necessities.
