A barrier arrangement of this type is known from document EP-0 274 352. The invention will be described below, by way of example, in its application to a barrier arrangement for a parking area for a motor vehicle.
As can be seen from FIGS. 2 to 4, the barrier device is produced in the form of a hoop which is pivotally mounted, using a pin 3 constituting a first pivot device, in bearings 4 fixed on the
The arrangement also comprises a device for pivoting the hoop, which essentially comprises a lever with two
The actuating device of the
Pour pouvoir ajuster l'ensemble à son état d'équilibre, la position axiale du contrepoids 30 pourrait être réglable sur le bras de levier 8.To complete the description of the barrier arrangement according to the invention, it can be seen that we can provide on the
The electrical energy supply device is enclosed in the housing and advantageously comprises a rechargeable battery, diagrammatically indicated at 31 and a solar energy sensor indicated at 32 in FIG. 1.
The parking barrier arrangement according to the invention can be remote-controlled, for example using a radio remote control. To this end, the electrical device comprises a receiver (not shown) which is also supplied with electrical energy from the solar collector so as to be in service for example every second out of three. To this end it could be supplied with electrical energy for one second every three seconds. The energy produced by the solar collector during the three seconds when the receiver is out of service, could be used to recharge the battery constituting the electric energy source of the
The electrical power supply circuit of the motor comprises a fuse with two stable states, which is known per se and functions as a switch which is closed in the normal operating state of the motor and opens when the excitation current of motor exceeds a predetermined threshold value. This threshold value is detectable in the form of overheating beyond a predetermined temperature produced by the excitation current of the motor. Such heating with interruption of the electric power supply circuit of the motor will occur when the hoop, during its pivoting movement, encounters an obstacle opposing a reaction force exceeding a predetermined value. The bi-stable fuse, which has just been described and is mounted in the power supply circuit of the
The operation of the barrier arrangement according to the invention, which has just been described and is shown in the figures, which in principle is already apparent from the foregoing, will briefly be described below.
When the driver of the motor vehicle, who is authorized to park his vehicle in the parking area provided by the arrangement according to the invention, approaches this area, he emits using his remote control device a signal whose duration must be long enough to coincide with a period during which the receiver is supplied with energy from the solar collector. Since in the example shown the receiver is powered for one second out of three, the driver is sure that the receiver receives the signal emitted by the remote control device if the duration of actuation of this device exceeds the duration of four seconds. In response to the reception of this remote control signal, the receiver produces a signal causing the electric power supply to the motor from the battery. The motor will thus be supplied with energy so that it can cause the
If, during a pivoting movement, the roll bar encounters an obstacle in its course, it is immediately stopped in its pivoting position under the effect of the switch fuse. In response to a new remote control signal, the motor will attempt to return the roll bar to the starting position. If during this movement the arch is opposed to another obstacle, it immediately stops and a new remote control signal will try to bring the arch back to the position originally intended. If the initial obstacle is still present or if during this race another obstacle opposes the arch, this again results in the immediate stopping of the pivoting movement of the arch. The flowchart of Figure 5 illustrates what has just been described and the control logic of the electrical device of the arrangement according to the invention, which is the cause.
After describing the structure of the barrier arrangement according to the invention, its operation and, through it, the control circuit of the arrangement, it is easy to understand the advantages which the present invention provides. These advantages reside in particular in the very simple and extremely space-saving structure of this arrangement. Due to the axial displacement component of the lever, which is superimposed on the pivoting movement, the pivoting angle can be kept at a relatively small value, which reduces the height of the housing to a very limited value. The use of the lever, if necessary equipped with a counterweight, makes it possible to reduce the force required for pivoting actuation of the lever to a relatively low value. Due to this fact, the motor consumes little energy and the arrangement can be completely autonomous, when adding the solar energy collector. Thanks to the use of the two-state switch fuse, the arrangement according to the invention does not require any particular end-of-travel stop means and specific stop means in the event of an obstacle. All these functions are accomplished by this switch fuse mounted in the motor supply circuit.
Of course, various modifications can be made to the arrangement which has just been described and is shown. Thus the electric motor could be replaced by any other suitable actuation device, such as for example an electromagnet, for example with a solenoid with two stable positions. It is easily understood that the arrangement can also operate on manual control, in the event of the absence or failure of the motor actuation device.
To ensure that the arch, in its raised position, disappears when a force greater than a predetermined threshold acts on it, we could connect the arch at each end of these pivoting arms to the axis 3 using a self-sequencing pin whose diameter will be sized according to this threshold.
The invention is generally applicable to all arrangements comprising a lever and pivoting device. For example, the invention is applicable to arrangements of the freight elevator type comprising a device such as a platform which is caused to move between a lowered position and a raised position. In this case, the platform will be articulated at the free end of the device with pivoting arm B and to the latter will be associated a second arm or parallel pivoting device which forms with the first a parallelogram ensuring that the platform performs a movement. in translation. The invention could also be applied to a truck tipper.
