Definitions
- the invention relates to a container for liquids or liquid-like masses, in particular paint buckets, with a protective layer applied to the container wall, which can be detached from the wall.
- Such containers serve as sales packaging for paints, solvents and the like.
- a buyer is authorized to return the sales packaging to the point of sale after use of the respective content for reuse, recycling or disposal.
- a container of the type mentioned at the outset is therefore known (DE 40 23 908 A1), in which a plastic layer is provided as a coating which cannot be removed due to the intended content but can be removed with an aqueous detergent.
- plastics that are soluble with aqueous detergents are suitable for certain beverages, but not for storage of paints or solvents. The plastic layer washed off after use must always be renewed before reusing the container, which is expensive.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a container of the type mentioned at the outset in which a renewal of a protective layer becomes unnecessary when it is used again.
- the object is achieved by a container of the type mentioned at the outset with at least one further, but in particular with a plurality of protective layers applied to the container wall with the interposition of a separating layer in each case and which can be detached from the wall starting from at least one detachment point.
- the residues and soiling in the container can be removed by simply pulling off the protective layer that has come into contact with the contents of the container, together with the protective layer, which means that the container is "cleaned” and can be reused .
- the container can be reused several times. If the container is not damaged, all protective layers can be applied again after several protective layers have been used. The container can then be reused until signs of wear no longer permit its further use.
- the at least one detachment point for the protective layer advantageously runs around the edge of an opening in the container. By arranging the detachment point on the edge of the container opening, this is covered and protected by the closure when the container is closed. Even when the container is open the detachment point at the edge of the opening is not directly accessible and thus secured against unintentional detachment.
- the protective layer extends both over the inner wall and the outer wall of the container. This ensures that when the protective layer is removed, not only residues remaining inside the container are removed, but also dirt on the outside of the container.
- the individual protective layers of the container are advantageously made of plastic, the respective separating layer containing a separating agent, in particular talc, silicone or mineral oil.
- a separating agent in particular talc, silicone or mineral oil.
- Protective layers made of wax can also be provided, which can be released thermally or mechanically.
- the protective layers can be applied by simple spraying, by dipping or by deep drawing.
- Fig. 1 shows a schematic sectional view of a container (10) according to the invention in the form of a bucket with a container wall (1) which is designed as a cover bead (2) around an upward opening of the container.
- the container (10) has a plurality of protective layers (5), which are attached to this on both the inside and the outside of the container wall (1).
- FIG. 2 shows, in an enlarged representation, a section from the bottom edge region of the bucket-shaped container (10), which is shown in FIG. 1 and is labeled (II).
- a first protective layer (5a) is applied tightly to the container wall (1) both on the inside and the outside of the container.
- This first protective layer (5a) is in turn separated from a further protective layer (5b) by a separating layer (4b).
- This stratification is repeated with a further separating layer (4c) and a further protective layer (5c) so that the container wall (1) has a triple alternating sequence of separating layers (4) and protective layers (5) on both sides.
- the individual protective layers (5a, 5b, 5c) can be removed in one piece by removing them from the container (10) by removing them from the container.
- a detachment point (6) on the lower edge of the cover bead (2) serves this purpose, which is shown in FIG. 3 as an enlargement of the detail (III) of FIG. 1.
- the protective layer can be gripped by removing the corresponding outermost protective layer at the detachment point (6) and removed from the container by pulling it off will.
- the detachment point (6) is arranged on the lower edge of the cover bead (2) so that unintentional detachment of the protective layers (5) is not possible, but the detachment point (6) is easily accessible if necessary.
- the detachment points (6) represent a connection between the protective layers on the inside and the protective layers on the outside of the container.
- Fig. 4 shows in a further embodiment of the invention in a schematic sectional view a container (10 ') according to the invention in canister shape.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a container for liquids or liquid-like masses, in particular paint buckets, with a protective layer applied to the container wall, which can be detached from the wall.
Such containers, usually in the form of buckets or canisters, serve as sales packaging for paints, solvents and the like. According to the packaging ordinance, a buyer is authorized to return the sales packaging to the point of sale after use of the respective content for reuse, recycling or disposal.
However, when the containers are returned they are generally contaminated by residual amounts of the previous contents, so that the containers have to be cleaned before reuse or the container may not be reusable under certain circumstances. A container of the type mentioned at the outset is therefore known (
It is also known to have containers with interchangeable film bags or the like. to be provided (DE 34 39 442 A1 or DE 40 33 236 A1). However, such solutions are unsuitable for containers for holding paints or solvents.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a container of the type mentioned at the outset in which a renewal of a protective layer becomes unnecessary when it is used again. The object is achieved by a container of the type mentioned at the outset with at least one further, but in particular with a plurality of protective layers applied to the container wall with the interposition of a separating layer in each case and which can be detached from the wall starting from at least one detachment point.
When returning to the point of sale or to the bottler, the residues and soiling in the container can be removed by simply pulling off the protective layer that has come into contact with the contents of the container, together with the protective layer, which means that the container is "cleaned" and can be reused . The container can be reused several times. If the container is not damaged, all protective layers can be applied again after several protective layers have been used. The container can then be reused until signs of wear no longer permit its further use.
The at least one detachment point for the protective layer advantageously runs around the edge of an opening in the container. By arranging the detachment point on the edge of the container opening, this is covered and protected by the closure when the container is closed. Even when the container is open the detachment point at the edge of the opening is not directly accessible and thus secured against unintentional detachment.
In an advantageous embodiment according to
The individual protective layers of the container are advantageously made of plastic, the respective separating layer containing a separating agent, in particular talc, silicone or mineral oil. Protective layers made of wax can also be provided, which can be released thermally or mechanically.
After applying a separating layer to the container wall or to an already applied protective layer, the protective layers can be applied by simple spraying, by dipping or by deep drawing.

Der Behälter (10) verfügt über mehrere sowohl auf der Innenseite als auch der Außenseite der Behälterwandung (1) auf diese mehrlagig angebrachte Schutzschichen (5).Fig. 1 shows a schematic sectional view of a container (10) according to the invention in the form of a bucket with a container wall (1) which is designed as a cover bead (2) around an upward opening of the container. The container (10) has a plurality of protective layers (5), which are attached to this on both the inside and the outside of the container wall (1).
To clarify the arrangement of the protective layers (5) on the container wall (1), FIG. 2 shows, in an enlarged representation, a section from the bottom edge region of the bucket-shaped container (10), which is shown in FIG. 1 and is labeled (II). With the interposition of a separating layer (4a), a first protective layer (5a) is applied tightly to the container wall (1) both on the inside and the outside of the container. This first protective layer (5a) is in turn separated from a further protective layer (5b) by a separating layer (4b). This stratification is repeated with a further separating layer (4c) and a further protective layer (5c) so that the container wall (1) has a triple alternating sequence of separating layers (4) and protective layers (5) on both sides. If necessary, the individual protective layers (5a, 5b, 5c) can be removed in one piece by removing them from the container (10) by removing them from the container.
A detachment point (6) on the lower edge of the cover bead (2) serves this purpose, which is shown in FIG. 3 as an enlargement of the detail (III) of FIG. 1. The protective layer can be gripped by removing the corresponding outermost protective layer at the detachment point (6) and removed from the container by pulling it off will. The detachment point (6) is arranged on the lower edge of the cover bead (2) so that unintentional detachment of the protective layers (5) is not possible, but the detachment point (6) is easily accessible if necessary. The detachment points (6) represent a connection between the protective layers on the inside and the protective layers on the outside of the container.
Fig. 4 zeigt in weiterer Ausführung der Erfindung in schematischer Schnittdarstellung einen erfindungsgemäßen Behälter (10') in Kanisterform. Fig. 4 shows in a further embodiment of the invention in a schematic sectional view a container (10 ') according to the invention in canister shape. The canister shape of the container (10 ') is formed by a container wall (1') which has a vertical nozzle-shaped opening (13) in an upper, horizontal area. The container (10 ') has protective layers (15) applied in multiple layers on the outside of its container wall (11) and protective layers (25) applied in multiple layers on its inside.
25b, 25c) aufgebracht. Vorteilhafterweise sind auf einer Behälterwandung etwa fünf Schutzschichten aufgebracht.5 and 6 show the corresponding sections (V) and (VI) of FIG. 4 in an enlarged view. First protective layers (15a and 25a) are applied along the container wall (11), in each case with the interposition of a first separating layer (14a or 24a) on the outside as well as on the inside. Two further protective layers (15b, 15c and 25b, 25c) are in turn applied to these first protective layers (15a, 25a) with the interposition of separating layers (14b, 14c; 24b, 24c). About five protective layers are advantageously applied to a container wall.
Detaching points (16, 26) are arranged in the area of the nozzle-shaped opening (13) of the canister-shaped container (10 ') to remove the protective layers. The detachment points (16) for the protective layers (15) attached to the outside of the container wall (11) are located on the outside of the socket (13), the detachment points (26) for the inner protective layers (25) directly on the inside wall below a screw-in thread the nozzle opening (13). In this version, too, the detachment points (16, 26) are arranged so as to be protected against unintentional actuation, but are easily accessible if necessary.
