Zur Verbesserung der Erkennbarkeit des emittierten Lichtes für den Beobachter erweist es sich in diesem Zusammenhang als vorteilhaft, daß an den Lichtaustritten Lichtleitkörper angeordnet sind. Das Betätigen der Taste T erfolgt durch Niederdrücken eines Stößels ST, der in der Darstellung durch einen Zylinderkörper symbolisch angedeutet ist. Die im zusammengebauten Zustand unmittelbar auf der Leiterplatte LP aufsitzende Taste T wird von einem Rahmen R, der Teil eines wabenförmigen Gebildes aus mehreren Rahmen sein kann, so umfaßt, daß dieser Rahmen R ebenfalls unmittelbar auf der Leiterplatte LP aufliegt. Der Rahmen R stützt sich dabei ferner gegen eine Frontplatte FP ab, wobei zwischen die Frontplatte FP und dem Rahmen R eine Dichtfolie DF mit der Übersichtlichkeit halber nicht dargestellten Befestigungsmitteln verspannt ist. Die Dichtfolie DF spannt sich nunmehr nach Art eines Trommelfells über den Rahmen R dergestalt, daß der Stößel ST noch nicht betätigt ist. Erst ein Niederdrücken der Dichtfolie DF in Richtung auf den Stößel ST hin löst einen Schaltvorgang aus. Dieses Niederdrücken erfolgt mit Hilfe einer Tastkappe TK, die in einer Ausnehmung A der Frontplatte FP gelagert ist. Dazu haben die Tastkappen, so zum Beispiel die Tastkappe TK, einen von der Frontseite her überwindbaren Formschluß gegenüber der Ausnehmung A der Frontplatte FP. Dieser kann beispielsweise so gestaltet sein, daß Rasten R1 und R2 der Tastkappe TK mit Einkerbungen E (sichtbar bei Raste R1) versehen sind, so daß die Rasten R1 und R2 bei seitlichem Druck mittels eines Werkzeuges verformbar sind, um die Rastwirkung aufzuheben. - Keyboard which can be assembled in a modular manner from individual keys (T) operable by pressing key caps (TK) and which is protected against splashed water, in particular for machine-tool and robot controls, whereby an elastic sealing film (DF) coating a large area of the keyboard is provided between the key caps and the keys, whereby the keys are arranged on a printed circuit board (LP) and whereby the key caps are mounted in a keyboard field, characterized in that frames (R) surrounding the sides of the keys (T) are placed between the printed circuit board (LP) and the keyboard field (FP) and in that the sealing film (DF) is braced like a tympanic membrane across the frames (R).
