Description

The invention relates to a tilt lock device for tilt and turn windows or doors or the like according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such tilting latch devices allow the tilting angle of the pivoting part to be adapted to the respective height of tilt-and-turn sashes, which are provided in a known manner with flap devices which act on the upper edge and which, in the tilting position of the sash, permit a certain constant opening width on the upper edge. This means that smaller sashes in the tilted position enclose a larger tilting angle with the plane of the fixed frame, while this tilting angle is correspondingly smaller for taller tilting sashes. An adaptation of the tilt angle limitation of the swivel part to the different overall height of the wing is desirable because it keeps the wing better at the tilt lock location and also prevents the wing from rattling in the tilt position.

According to DE 29 29 382 C2, the tilt angle of the swivel part is limited by an adjustable eccentric bolt acting on the upper end face. The setting must disadvantageously be set for each window or door fitting corresponding to the maximum tilt angle.

In the training according to DE 36 27 043 C1, such an adjustment is no longer necessary. A U-shaped Bending rod spring is used here to only allow the maximum tilt angle. However, this training is very complex.

The invention has for its object to develop a tilt lock device for tilt-and-turn windows, doors or the like in accordance with DE 29 29 382 C2 such that the maximum tilt angle of the swivel part no longer has to be set, with rattling of the window being prevented and no complex construction or Manufacturing measures are required.

This object is achieved by the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous training and further developments are described in claims 2 to 6.

The advantages achieved by the invention are, in particular, that a limitation of the tilt angle for the swivel part is achieved with simple means, a reliable function with regard to the rattle-free connection of the sash to the frame being achieved during the tilt position.

A tilt lock device for tilt-and-turn windows, doors or the like has, as fittings in the lower corner of the frame 1 and the wing 2, a locking plate 4 which is usually connected to the upright frame member 3 and one which is usually attached to the upright wing member 5, the lower corner of the wing encompassing locking member 6, which is functionally connected to the entire window fitting of the sash via a drive rod 7 and faceplate 8. The faceplate 8 is located in the fastening groove 9 of the wing spars, and the drive rod 7 is longitudinally displaceable in the spar direction relative to the faceplate 8, guided by it.

Figure 1 shows such a tilt lock device from the side in cooperation with the frame 1 and wing 2 of a tilt and turn window. A pivot part 11 is connected to the drive rod 7 via a bearing pin 10 designed as a rivet connection. This pivoting part rests with its bottom on the faceplate 8 and, with two walls 12 in the illustrated tilt-open position, comprises a latch 13 at its lower end. An eccentric pin 14 is enclosed by the walls 12 of the swivel part 11 when the drive rod 7 has moved the swivel part into the uppermost position, which represents the closed position in the exemplary embodiment.

For further explanation, reference is also made to FIGS. 2 and 3. Figure 2 shows the view of the locking member 6 and the face plate 8 in the tilt position. The latch plate 4 actually located in front of it is shown in dash-dot lines. Figure 3 shows a section through the locking member 6 in the plane in front of the faceplate 8 seen on this. From Figure 2 it can be clearly seen that the pivoting part 11 is pivoted out of the longitudinal axis 15 of the faceplate 8, the greater the opening angle α of the window or the door. If the scissor construction remains the same, the lower the window, the greater the opening angle.

The pivoting part 11 has in the region of the bearing pin 10 a link extension 16 which engages in a longitudinal slot 17 of the faceplate 8 having approximately the width of the link extension. To enable pivoting of the pivot part 11 the longitudinal slot 17 must have an extension 18 in the tilt opening position. This extension has a width that allows the largest swivel angle of the swivel part to be obtained as it results for the lowest window.

As can be seen from FIG. 3, there is therefore a play between the connecting link 16 and the extension 18 of the faceplate 8 with higher windows or doors, which would lead to rattling and inaccurate guidance in the tilted position without preventive measures.

According to the invention, this is prevented in that the upper end face 19 is supported against a spring element 20 which tries to align the pivoting part 11 parallel to the faceplate. In the exemplary embodiment, this spring element 20 is a solid body made of elastic material. It is riveted to the drive rod 7 via a support part 21, whereby the required frictional connection between the pivot part 11 and the support part 21 is achieved. The spring element 20 designed as a solid body made of elastic material is connected to the support part 21 by gluing or vulcanization. The one-piece design of the support part and spring element can also be achieved in other ways by known technical measures. The one-piece design is a preferred embodiment of the invention.

The manufacturing tolerances for the swivel part 11 and the spring element 20 and their connection to the drive rod 7 do not require great accuracy. If the windows are oversized, the spring element 20 will be plastically deformed when pivoting for the first time. The remaining residual elasticity later ensures the function.

In order to prevent a spring element 20 from being formed as a solid body that shear stress occurs through the penetrating corner 22, which could possibly lead to destruction of the spring element, FIGS. 4 and 5 show corresponding designs of the adjoining surfaces of pivot part 11, spring element 20 and support member 21 shown.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, recesses 23 in the surface of the spring element 20 serve to prevent such a shear stress. In addition, the contour 24 between the spring element 20 and the support member 21 is formed such that the upper end face 19 is as parallel as possible to this contour 24 when the swiveling part 11 is inclined, thus eliminating the shearing action of the corner 22. Furthermore, it is specifically achieved with this design that springing back of the wing 2 is avoided in small windows with a correspondingly large opening angle α, since the corner 22 of the pivot part 11 dips into one of the recesses 23. As a result, less material is compressed, which results in a lower resulting spring force.

With high window or door sashes and a small opening angle α, the corner 22 of the swivel part 11 comes into contact with the spring element 20 outside the recess 23 and must compress the material located here, which results in a greater spring force.
