Abstract

In the case of a radiant heating element, the temperature sensor (30) of a temperature limiter (29) projects over only a part of the diameter of the heating area (17) in which radiant heating elements (13) are arranged. The temperature sensor is constructed and/or supported such that it exerts a pressure on a holder (44), for example in the form of a projecting stud on the insulating body (7), which stud is arranged, for example, in the centre of the heating element. It thus holds the insulation under a specific pre-stressing pressure and, at the same time, it is prevented from lifting off upwards and coming too close to the heated plate. <IMAGE>
