- the invention relates to a tilt closure for containers containing flowable material according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- a tilt lock of this type is known from DE-A-38 29 023.
- the pretensioning device is optionally connected to the closure cap or the cap cover and can consist of at least one curved member which either protrudes downward from the underside of the closure cap and interacts with an obliquely tapering surface of the cover plate or which protrudes from the cover plate and contacts abuts a sliding surface of the cap cover.
- the known pretensioning device develops its highest pretensioning force with increasing pivoting of the cap cover into the open position, while the restoring forces of the known pretensioning device are generally not sufficient to automatically bring the cap cover back into the closed position.
- the invention has for its object to improve the tilt lock according to the preamble of claim 1 so that the biasing device acts on the cap cover in each operating position with such a high biasing force that the cap cover from its open position automatically returned to the closed position.
- the biasing device consists of a V-shaped leaf spring, it is possible to give it such a width that this alone ensures a relatively high restoring force against changes in shape. It is essential, however, that the spring legs spread outward in the shape of a bow in the relaxed state in the closed position of the cap cover keep the latter under a relatively high pretensioning force. This is due to the fact that in this closed position of the cap lid essentially flat and parallel to each other spring legs are prevented by the adjacent hinge-like articulations of the leg ends on the cap lid or at the upper edge of the cap from returning to their relaxed, curved starting position.
- the ends of the two spring legs are expediently arranged in a plane which is directed approximately perpendicular to the bisector of the angle at the leg root.
- V-shaped leaf spring can be injection molded in one piece from plastic with the tilt closure. This facilitates economical mass production of the tilt lock.

In deviation from this type of fastening, the closure cap can of course also be snapped onto a container by means of a snap fit.
- the underside of the cover plate 16 is provided with a circular sealing lip 18 which extends to form an annular groove 19 at a distance from the inner wall of the closure cap 11 and which is sealingly and elastically applied to the opening edge of the container neck. Furthermore, the cover plate 16 is provided with a passage opening 20.
- the upper cap wall 24 is provided in FIGS. 1 and 2 at the level of the closed cap cover 12 and its outlet opening 25 with a spherical cap-shaped recess 26 on the inside of the cap wall 24, the radius of which corresponds to the distance of this recess 26 from a pivot axis 27 of the cap cover 12 .
- the side surface of the cap cover 12 is formed in the area of the outlet opening 25 in a manner corresponding to a spherical cap, so that the cap wall 24 seals the outlet opening 25 with elastic prestress when the cap cover 12 is closed.
- the pivot axis 27 of the cap lid is arranged offset with respect to a central longitudinal axis 28 of the closure cap 12 on the side opposite the outlet opening 25. - the cap edge is articulated via a first hinge axis 34 to a leaf spring 35 corresponding to an inverted V in FIG. 3, which extends approximately 1/3 of the diameter of the cap cover symmetrically to a diametrical axis.
- a leg root 36 of the leaf spring is accordingly directed upward in FIG. 3, while the first and second legs 37, 38 are curved downward and widely spread in the relaxed state shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the spring ends lie approximately in a horizontal plane which is directed perpendicular to the bisector of the angle at the leg root 36.
- the first leg 37 is articulated with a second hinge axis 39 to the edge of an essentially cylindrical cover shell 40, which projects from the underside of the cap cover 12.
- the cover jacket 40 is provided with a pair of support cheeks 41, the radius of which corresponds essentially to that of the support surface 32 in the upper part 24 of the closure cap 11 and enables the pivoting movement of the cap cover 12 between its closed and open positions.
- a closing member 43 is provided on the underside of the head plate 42, which in the outlet opening 22 of the Outlet connector 21 engages sealingly.
- a sealing cap 44 is provided on the underside, which on the side facing away from the outlet opening 25 tightly encloses the outlet connection 21 also in the open position of the cap cover 12, wherein, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the sealing cap the side facing the outlet opening lies below an outlet channel 45 which connects the outlet opening 25 to the outlet nozzle 21 and, in the open position of the cap lid 12, via the latter to the interior of the container.
- the closing member 43 In the open position, the closing member 43 is located outside the outlet opening 22, so that the container contents can escape into the open through the outlet opening 22 into the outlet channel 45 and through the outlet opening 25 then located above the upper cap edge 23.
- the V-shaped leaf spring 35 is arranged in the closed position of the cap cover 12 so that the second hinge axis 39 is adjacent to the first hinge axis 34, and the first and second legs 37, 38 largely flat and parallel to each other against their spreading force are directed in the direction of the outlet opening 25 and the cover plate 16, the leg root 36 resting on the top of the cover plate 16.
- the biasing force exerted by this deformation of the first and second legs 37, 38 curved in its relaxed starting position according to FIG. 3 is naturally absorbed by the guide pins 30 of the cap cover 12 and the outlet connection 21. If the cap cover 12 is pivoted clockwise in FIG.
- the outlet opening 25, as shown in FIG. 5, is open above the upper edge of the cap 23. This takes place with an arcuate downward movement of the second hinge axis 39 on the cap cover 12.
- the entire leaf spring 35 is pressurized in the direction of the inside of the cap wall 24 adjacent to it, whereby the first leg 37 bends inwards with increasing pretension, while the second leg 38 is bent outwards, as FIG. 5 clearly shows.
- the leaf spring 35 exerts an increasing pretensioning force on the cap lid 12 in its closing direction and tends to pivot the cap lid 12 back into the closed position according to FIG. 1 when it is released by the operator, due to the deformation of the originally curved first and second legs 37, 38 is so great that the cap cover 12 always returns to its closed position with certainty.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a tilt closure for containers containing flowable material according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
A tilt lock of this type is known from DE-A-38 29 023. In this tilt closure, the pretensioning device is optionally connected to the closure cap or the cap cover and can consist of at least one curved member which either protrudes downward from the underside of the closure cap and interacts with an obliquely tapering surface of the cover plate or which protrudes from the cover plate and contacts abuts a sliding surface of the cap cover. The known pretensioning device develops its highest pretensioning force with increasing pivoting of the cap cover into the open position, while the restoring forces of the known pretensioning device are generally not sufficient to automatically bring the cap cover back into the closed position.
The invention has for its object to improve the tilt lock according to the preamble of claim 1 so that the biasing device acts on the cap cover in each operating position with such a high biasing force that the cap cover from its open position automatically returned to the closed position.
The invention solves this problem by the features contained in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
Characterized in that the biasing device consists of a V-shaped leaf spring, it is possible to give it such a width that this alone ensures a relatively high restoring force against changes in shape. As a result, such a large pretensioning force is exerted on the underside of the side of the cap cover opposite the outlet opening even in the closed position that the cap cover assumes the closed position automatically when it is released in the open position. If the cap cover is to be pivoted from the closed position into the open position by exerting a finger pressure on the side of the cap cover opposite the outlet opening, then the connection point between the cap cover and the associated leg end is directed in the direction of the leg root of the V-spring and against the other connected to the cap edge Leg moves, the leg connected to the cap lid bulging toward the opposite side of the other leg, so that the restoring force of the spring increases.
In the relaxed position, the ends of the two spring legs are expediently arranged in a plane which is directed approximately perpendicular to the bisector of the angle at the leg root.
Furthermore, the V-shaped leaf spring can be injection molded in one piece from plastic with the tilt closure. This facilitates economical mass production of the tilt lock.
The invention is explained below with reference to the schematic drawing of an embodiment.

The cylindrical

The
The
Below these
The
In the area of the
Furthermore, a
As shown in Fig. 1, the V-
