Description

The invention relates to a method for producing patterned textile needle felt or nonwoven webs from nonwoven fabrics and textile fiber material.

From DE-OS 34 44 763 a system for the production of structured textile velor needle felt webs is known, which consists of a mechanically or an aerodynamically operating fleece laying machine, a pre-needle machine and a velor needle machine, in which at least the velor needle machine with a fleece to be needled and Endless brush band serving as a stitch pad is composed of a plurality of brush plates carrying the tufts of bristles, the outer edges of which are formed in a zigzag shape such that the edges of adjacent brush plates engage in such a way that the tufts of bristles have the same distances from one another along the outer edges such as those in the inner area of the brush plate, the bristles of the bristle tufts are ground conically or wedge-shaped at their free end, the hold-down plate rests on the nonwoven web and presses it down t will be used for the three-dimensional structuring of the pre-needled nonwoven crown needles.

-vliesbahnen herzustellen. The invention has for its object to develop a method by means of which it is possible in a simple manner with the least possible outlay on equipment to produce versatile and also differently patterned textile needle felt or nonwoven webs.

To achieve this object, a method is proposed according to the invention, which consists in structuring a single-layer or multi-layer pre-needled nonwoven web preferably by means of crown and / or fork needles to form a velor web, then at least one layer providing a pattern on this web textile fibers, in particular staple fibers, which differ from the fibers of the carrier web in terms of their color and / or their shape and / or their material and / or their degree of fineness and / or their orientation, apply to all or part of the surface and finally this web of further needling The fibers applied to the carrier web are printed until they are visible through them on the underside of the web, the poles of which lie essentially in the plane of the lower surface of the web.

Crown needles are preferably used to produce the structured carrier web. However, fork needles can also be used instead of the crown needles or in addition to the crown needles if the desired structuring of the carrier web requires this. This means that the structuring needle unit is expediently equipped with two parallel needle bars that work either synchronously or asynchronously according to a certain program. It is also possible to switch off the needle bar fully equipped with fork needles.

The carrier web can be produced from a wide variety of primary materials, either from a pre-needled non-woven fabric or a pre-needled nonwoven web with essentially in the longitudinal or web direction oriented fibers. The primary material can be one or more layers. It is also possible for the individual layers to contain fibers which are oriented in very specific directions within the web. Such materials are produced in a manner known per se with the aid of machines or apparatus known per se. The application of the fiber material required for the patterning of the needle felt or nonwoven webs can be done by placing a further web of fibrous material over the entire surface or in strip form on the carrier web and then, as already stated, treating it further. Instead of large-area or strip-shaped nonwoven webs, it is also possible, depending on the desired pattern, to place a large number of flat sections of a nonwoven web of fiber with the desired geometric shape on the carrier web.

In order to optimally obtain the desired patterning of the end product, the fibers in the nonwovens or their sections applied to the carrier web have an orientation which runs transversely to the main orientation of the fibers in the carrier web. As a result, the fibers effecting the pattern are optimally grasped by the fork needles and pressed through the carrier web on the underside thereof, which is later the top side of the end product.

According to a further variant of the method, the staple fibers which effect the pattern can be applied to the carrier web with the aid of a continuous or discontinuous or intermittent air stream, which is expediently done by the air stream laden with fibers being obtained from at least one mouthpiece which is located above the carrier web , lets out; thereby the fibers conveyed by the air flow are deposited on the carrier web, in those places where the mouthpiece or the mouthpieces are located. If appropriate, it can be advantageous that a vacuum is created below the carrier web in the area in which the mouthpiece or mouthpieces are located above it, in order to hold the staple fibers deposited on the carrier web in particular in accordance with a predetermined pattern so that they are held by the air flow promoting the fibers and escaping to the side cannot be blown away to the side.

The mouthpieces at the end of an assembly for transporting the staple fibers with the aid of an air stream can be designed in a wide variety of ways. If the staple fibers used for the pattern are to be distributed homogeneously on the carrier web, the mouthpiece extends over its entire width. If one wishes to lay down the staple fibers in a strip shape on the carrier web, several mouthpieces are expediently arranged along a row above the carrier web, the width of the mouthpieces corresponding to the width of the strips of deposited pattern fibers. However, it is also possible to provide one or more mouthpieces which are arranged in a stationary or movable manner above the carrier web. If the mouthpiece or mouthpieces can be moved along an X and / or Y axis within the framework of a coordinate system, the drive units for the mouthpiece or mouthpieces can be actuated according to a predetermined computer-controlled program, in order in this way to determine the fibers used for the patterning Place them on the moving carrier web.

Is preferably used to carry out the method according to the invention as a base for the material web For the purpose of processing them during all process steps, a brush belt with a surface that is as homogeneous as possible and formed by the tips of the bristles, so that the material web is supported in the best possible way. Such a brush belt has become known from DE-OS 34 44 763. It has already proven itself in practice and is therefore also ideally suited for the method under consideration here, since there are no gaps or spots in the surface of the brush strip with a smaller or denser bristle population. Depending on the special requirements for the end product, the preliminary product or products that were formed to form the nonwoven web for the purpose of structuring it can be stretched in a manner known per se depending on the orientation of the fibers contained in the nonwoven or in other directions. This method is known per se and therefore requires no further explanation.

As already mentioned, for the final needling of the material web for the production of the end product, fork needles are used, in which the planes in which the forks are located lie transversely to the direction of those fibers which are pushed through the carrier web in the form of pile loops by the forks should. Depending on the specific requirements of the end product, crown needles or optionally other shaped needles can also be used in addition to the fork needles.

For needling the material web in the last needling stage, it is advantageous to attach the needles used here in groups to one or more needle bars that can be moved up and down, the individual ones Needle bars can be moved together in time and synchronously or asynchronously to one another or else individually and independently of one another. The desired pattern is particularly decisive for the movement of the individual needle bars. It is important here to change the distance of the needles relative to the plane of the fleece to be needled or the support surface of the carrier web during operation in the last needling stage, depending on the pattern to be generated. The needle units and / or the carrier web can be adjusted mechanically or electrically or also hydraulically in the manner specified above.

In this context, it can also be provided that the needle bars are not filled with needles over their entire width, but only in places or areas, so that there are practically no limits to the variety of patterns that can be generated.

In this way you have every conceivable variation with regard to the pattern.
