Sie wird weiterhin bei einer Verpackung der eingangs angegebenen Art dadurch gelöst, daß die Verbindungs-"Naht" durch paarweise aus den Lagen ge­schnittene und paarweise abwechselnd und zueinander entgegengesetzt aus diesen herausgedrückte Streifen gebildet ist. Weiterhin wird die Aufgabe bei einer Vorrichtung der eingangs angegebenen Art dadurch ge­löst, daß zwei einander komplementäre Stanz-Drück-­Werkzeuge einander paarweise zugeordnet sind, die wechselweise mit Stanzzähnen versehen sind, wobei je­weils ein Stanzzahn eines Stanz-Drück-Werkzeuges in einen Zwischenraum zwischen zwei benachbarten Stanz­zähnen des anderen Stanz-Drück-Werkzeuges eingreifend ausgebildet ist, wobei die Breite des jeweiligen Zwi­schenraumes im wesentlichen der Breite des jeweiligen Stanzzahnes entspricht und wobei die den jeweiligen Stanzzahn zum benachbarten Zwischenraum begrenzende Kante als Schneidkante ausgebildet ist. Durch die er­findungsgemäßen Maßnahmen wird erreicht, daß die Streifen, die selbstverständlich an ihren Enden mit der jeweiligen Lage Papier oder dergleichen verbunden bleiben, paarweise und abwechselnd gegensinnig aus den Lagen herausgedrückt werden, wodurch ein außerordent­lich intensives Verhaken der beiden Lagen stattfindet. Je weniger glatt, als je einfacher das Papier, der dünne Karton oder dergleichen ist, um so fester ist die Verbindung. Gerade Craftpapier und Recycling-Pa­pier eignen sich also besonders hierfür. Mit der er­findungsgemäßen Umhüllung oder Verpackung können bei­spielsweise Stapel von Zeitungen oder Zeitschriften zum Versand umhüllt werden, wobei nur vier Seiten um­ hüllt werden, während zwei einander gegenüberliegende Seiten offen bleiben. Zur Transportsicherung und zum Tragen solcher Pakete können diese noch mit einem oder mehrere Reifen umgeben werden.
