Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical push button switch with a latching device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Pushbutton switches with curved locking in which the up and down position of the pushbutton is accomplished by means of a locking element which engages with a locking link, are known in many different embodiments.
- a pushbutton switch is known, the latching device of which has a latching element formed on the pushbutton in the form of a switching pin and a heart-shaped latching slot which is recessed in a slide plate and which is in turn slidably mounted in a long groove of the switch housing transversely to the pushbutton guide direction.
- the sliding plate not in the push button guide direction, but only transversely to the push button guide direction is movable, the movable locking element in the locking link must accommodate the entire vertical switching stroke of the push button. In order to realize the small switching stroke paths required for special applications, the vertical locking stroke to be accomplished by the locking element must conventionally be correspondingly small.
- the push button stroke can be shortened by more than half while the latching element stroke remains the same.
- the latching element which is slidably guided in a long groove of the slide across the pushbutton guide, can be moved counter to the movement of the pushbutton.
- the entire push-button switching stroke can be divided into a plurality of opposing movements, that is to say in movements of the latching link towards the latching element (in the pushbutton guide direction) and in movements of the latching element towards the latching link (against the pushbutton guide direction).
- an essentially cuboid switching body is provided, which is guided in translation in the push button guide direction.
- the carriage of the latching and moving device according to the invention which is deflected in opposite directions via the two-armed lever, is thus moved in a translationally opposite manner to the switching body.
- a disk-shaped switching body carrying the latching link is provided, which is rotatably mounted on parts of the switch housing.
- the translational movement of the pushbutton in the pushbutton guide direction impresses the switching body on a rotary movement via a switching cam provided on this disk-shaped switching body.
- This also results in a relative movement of the locking link in relation to the locking element.
- the opposite relative movement of the carriage in relation to the rotary moving switching body is accomplished in that the carriage is deflected via two two-armed levers, a first lever arm being articulated on the translationally guided push button or on the rotating moving moving body.
- the movement of each point of the rotationally moved switching body not only has a movement component transverse to the push button guide direction, but also a movement component in the push button guide direction.
- the switch body is designed in the form of a one-armed lever articulated on parts of the switch housing, the free end of which carries the latching link.
- the first lever arms of the two-armed lever of the traversing device according to the invention for the latching element are in turn articulated to parts of the push button or the switch body. Since in this exemplary embodiment the latching link is moved in a circle around the pivot point of the switching body as soon as the pushbutton is pressed or released, the latching link or the control cam and the latching element movable thereon also run in opposite directions to one another in this embodiment.
- FIG. 1 shows the latching and moving device according to the invention for a latching element 8 formed on a pushbutton switch 1 according to a first exemplary embodiment.
- a pushbutton 2 which is guided linearly in a switch housing 3, acts on an essentially cuboid switching body 4.
- On the switching body 4 is a locking link 7 having a heart-shaped control curve 25.
- a locking element 8 is in engagement with the locking link 7, which has a locking element pin 9 and a locking element slide 10.
- the locking element slide 10 is slidably mounted transversely to the pushbutton guide direction in the elongated slot 16 of a slide 15.
- a laterally pivotable, curved wire spring could also be arranged on the slide 15.
- the carriage 15 is also slidably mounted in a groove between the switch body 4 and a housing wall of the switch housing 3 in the push button guide direction.
- Two two-armed levers 11 are each articulated via pivot points 14 on opposite parts of the switch housing 3 in the form of a swivel joint.
- the free end of a first lever arm 12 has a first pivot pin 18, which is in engagement with a first sliding joint elongated hole 20 formed on the switching body 4. In this way, a joint combination of a swivel joint and a thrust joint is formed.
- the free ends of second lever arms 13 have a second pivot pin 19, which is in engagement with a second sliding joint elongated hole 21.
- the joint 17 formed here is also a joint combination of a swivel joint and a sliding joint.
- the lever arms 12, 13 are of equal length.
- the ratio of push button stroke / locking element stroke can, however, be changed as required by corresponding variation of the lengths of the lever arms 12, 13.
- a pushbutton return spring 26 is used, which is supported at one end in a recess in the switching body 4, and which with another end is supported on a circuit board 29.
- a contact bridge 27 used for contacting contacts on the printed circuit board 29 is spring-mounted in a contact bridge pressure spring receiving shaft 30 by means of a contact bridge compression spring 28.
- a light-emitting diode 31 is provided for illuminating the pushbutton 2.
- FIG. 2 shows a top view of the locking and moving device according to the invention of the pushbutton switch 1 with the pushbutton 2 removed.
- Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment of the locking and moving device according to the invention for the locking element 8, in which a switching body 5 is disc-shaped and is rotatably mounted about a pivot point 23 on parts of the switch housing 2.
- a switching cam 22 is provided, by means of which the actuating force F of the pushbutton 2, which is moved translationally in the pushbutton guide direction, causes a rotary movement of the switching body 5.
- the switching body 5 is set into a rotational movement about the pivot point 23 via the switching cam 22, the latching link 7 and thus part of the control cam 25 moves towards the latching element pin 9 of the latching element 8.
- the locking element pin 9 in turn likewise moves this piece of the control cam 25 in the opposite direction, since it is moved in the opposite direction to the push button guide direction via the slide 15 and the two-armed lever 11.
- the locking element 8 is slidably mounted in an elongated slot of the slide 15.
- the rest of the design of the locking and moving device according to the invention corresponds to the arrangement according to the first embodiment.
- Fig. 4 shows a third embodiment of the locking and moving device according to the invention with a switching body 6 designed as a one-armed lever.
- the switching body 6 is pivotable about a pivot point 24, which is rotatably mounted on parts of the switch housing 2.
- the latching link 7 is formed, in which the latching element slide 10 of the latching element 8, which is slidably guided in the elongated slot 16 of the carriage 15, is slidably guided.
- the carriage 15 is in turn articulated via the two-armed lever 11, as shown in FIG. 1, to parts of the switch body 6 or to parts of the push button 2 in order to ensure the movement in the opposite direction to the push button 2.
- the switch-on stroke is initiated by pressing the pushbutton 2, the first lever arm 12 being pivoted into a lower reversing position. Since the carriage 15 is articulated on the second lever arm 13 of the two-armed lever 11, it is brought into an upper deflection position. Here, the locking element pin 9 slides along the control cam 25 to an upper stop point of the locking link 7. After releasing the pushbutton 2, the locking element pin 9 now slides down and remains in a stable switch-on position E. The switch-on stroke is ended. The switch-off stroke is initiated by pressing pushbutton 2 again.
- the first lever arm 12 again moves into its lower pivot position, and then remain in an upper swivel position.
- the second lever arm 13 has in this case moved the carriage 15 into the lower part of the switch housing 2, the latching element pin 9 coming to rest in a lower stable switch-off position A. This completes the switch-off stroke.

Description
The invention relates to an electrical push button switch with a latching device according to the preamble of claim 1.
Pushbutton switches with curved locking, in which the up and down position of the pushbutton is accomplished by means of a locking element which engages with a locking link, are known in many different embodiments.
From DE-OS 36 11 190 a pushbutton switch is known, the latching device of which has a latching element formed on the pushbutton in the form of a switching pin and a heart-shaped latching slot which is recessed in a slide plate and which is in turn slidably mounted in a long groove of the switch housing transversely to the pushbutton guide direction. Characterized in that the sliding plate not in the push button guide direction, but only transversely to the push button guide direction is movable, the movable locking element in the locking link must accommodate the entire vertical switching stroke of the push button. In order to realize the small switching stroke paths required for special applications, the vertical locking stroke to be accomplished by the locking element must conventionally be correspondingly small. In the prior art, this can only be achieved with small latching links. This naturally affects the mechanical stability of the locking device and the accuracy and safety of the locking. Because of these problems, which occur in switches with curved locking, the switching stroke of the known switch cannot be reduced further. The invention attempts to remedy this.
Starting from the prior art of the generic type and avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages, it is therefore an object of the invention to provide a latching device for the latching element, which makes it possible to achieve a significant reduction in the switching stroke of the pushbutton with a constant latching stroke of the latching element.
This object is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous further developments and designs of the invention are characterized in more detail in the subclaims.
Compared to the conventional latching devices, in which the latching element stroke corresponds to the push button stroke, with the latching and moving device according to the invention for the latching element, the push button stroke can be shortened by more than half while the latching element stroke remains the same. Characterized in that a two-arm lever articulated on parts of the switch housing is provided, the first lever arm with a switch body acted upon by the pushbutton and the second lever arm of which is articulated to a slide that is movable relative to the latching link and the switch housing, the latching element, which is slidably guided in a long groove of the slide across the pushbutton guide, can be moved counter to the movement of the pushbutton. Thus, not only is there a relative movement between the latching link and the latching element and the latching link and the switch housing, but with the device according to the invention a relative movement of the latching element in the push button guide direction with respect to the switch housing is additionally achieved. This means that, as with the conventional latching devices, either the latching link or the latching element are each arranged rigidly with respect to the switch housing and thus either the latching link moves towards the latching element or the latching element towards the latching link, but rather that both the latching link and the latching element simultaneously perform a relative movement with respect to the immovable switch housing. As a result, the entire push-button switching stroke can be divided into a plurality of opposing movements, that is to say in movements of the latching link towards the latching element (in the pushbutton guide direction) and in movements of the latching element towards the latching link (against the pushbutton guide direction).
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, an essentially cuboid switching body is provided, which is guided in translation in the push button guide direction. The carriage of the latching and moving device according to the invention, which is deflected in opposite directions via the two-armed lever, is thus moved in a translationally opposite manner to the switching body.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, a disk-shaped switching body carrying the latching link is provided, which is rotatably mounted on parts of the switch housing. The translational movement of the pushbutton in the pushbutton guide direction impresses the switching body on a rotary movement via a switching cam provided on this disk-shaped switching body. This also results in a relative movement of the locking link in relation to the locking element. The opposite relative movement of the carriage in relation to the rotary moving switching body is accomplished in that the carriage is deflected via two two-armed levers, a first lever arm being articulated on the translationally guided push button or on the rotating moving moving body. It should be noted here that the movement of each point of the rotationally moved switching body not only has a movement component transverse to the push button guide direction, but also a movement component in the push button guide direction.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the switch body is designed in the form of a one-armed lever articulated on parts of the switch housing, the free end of which carries the latching link. The first lever arms of the two-armed lever of the traversing device according to the invention for the latching element are in turn articulated to parts of the push button or the switch body. Since in this exemplary embodiment the latching link is moved in a circle around the pivot point of the switching body as soon as the pushbutton is pressed or released, the latching link or the control cam and the latching element movable thereon also run in opposite directions to one another in this embodiment.
The invention will be described and explained in more detail below with the aid of several exemplary embodiments and with the aid of the schematic drawing.

Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment of the locking and moving device according to the invention for the

Fig. 4 shows a third embodiment of the locking and moving device according to the invention with a switching body 6 designed as a one-armed lever. The operation of the locking and moving device according to the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the embodiment of FIG. 1. The switch-on stroke is initiated by pressing the
