Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to alpine ski boots of the rear entry type, as known from FR-A-2620311, comprising a rigid shell of which a shell bottom is surmounted by a rod at least partially articulated on this last and itself consisting of a rear part or rear cover which can be folded down relative to a front part or front cover, a flexible link tightening system securing said rear cover in the position of approximation against the front cover by means of a link guiding device, which consists of a recess obtained on the rear cover of the rod, oriented in the direction of passage of the link and capped with a corresponding removable cover, provided with removable attachment means cooperating with the rear cover wall in its upper rear area.

Such a system has the double advantage of maintaining the flexible link, on the one hand near the coupling means of the tensioning lever on the front cover when the rear cover is folded over the latter and, on the other hand, on the cover. rear whatever the position thereof and in particular, when it is uncoupled from the front cover, and to integrate the flexible link and its guide means in the volume of the rear cover without having any roughness, while guaranteeing the sliding of said link and its possible replacement thanks to provisions making it removable.

On the other hand, another known additional closure, consists of an adjustable strap for keeping the end of the top of the rod closed, comprising means for retaining said rear cover.

Such a strap mainly prevents bending of the upper part of the front cover of the boot and provides the skier's lower leg with close contact, in order to avoid the feeling of freedom provided by the upper flares of the front and rear covers.

This strap originates or is secured by attachment to the rear cover, constituting a dorsal element for stiffening the rod, and tightly surrounds the front cover to loop back on itself at its free end by means of a integral loop of said rear cover with or without self-gripping means.

The means for retaining the strap on the rear cover, consist of a first pair of rivets pinching a flange, attached to one end of said strap, against the internal part of a side wing of the rear cover in its part superior. Another flange fixed identically by two other rivets is disposed on the other side wing and carries the buckle.

Such a fixing of the strap has a number of drawbacks, in that it requires a specific mounting operation on the cover, distinct from that of the flexible link tightening system located at a lower level.

In addition, such a strap fixing technique makes its replacement difficult or even impossible, outside the workshop indeed, removing and installing the rivets requires dismantling the cover and the riveting is in itself a delicate operation, requiring appropriate tools. .

However, the strap is of a fragile texture compared to the rest of the shoe, for example the shell, and it is a consumable element, by its fragility and the number of operations that it is subjected to each shoeing or heaving. . It must also be considered that it is as exposed to external agents such as snow, ice, etc ... as the hull itself for a much lower resistance.

This leads us to think that the strap must be made easily interchangeable for the user, without requiring the intervention of a specialist or the use of tools, reducing the intervention time to a minimum.

The object of the present invention is to achieve this result by remedying all the aforementioned drawbacks.

To this end, it relates to a shoe of the aforementioned type, characterized in that means for retaining an adjustable strap for keeping the end of the upper part closed at the top are arranged on an upward extension of the cover covering the device for guiding the link to constitute a single cover for the means for guiding or retaining rear all the closures.

It is easily understood by that the means for fixing the strap having been transferred to an extension of a cover already cooperating with the link guide device, a complex mounting operation has been eliminated with regard to the strap.

According to an advantageous characteristic of the invention, the extension comprises at its upper part a transverse internal recess defining a pass with the wall of the rear cover, on which the end of the single cover bears, to constitute the means for retaining the strap .

According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, the transverse recess forming a loop comprises means for immobilizing the strap in translation after positioning.

The ski boot shown in Figure 1 has a rod 1 consisting of a front part 2, or front cover, and a rear part 3, or rear cover and a shell bottom 4 on which the rod 1 is connected by l 'intermediary of rivets 5. A device 15 for guiding the cable 9 forming the loop is associated and integrated into the rear cover 3 in the zone corresponding to that of the passages of the cable 9 in its active position, as visible in FIG. 3; in this position, the cable is under tension by means of the tensioning lever 11 engaged on the rack 14 and its intermediate part, which surrounds the rear cover 3, causes the latter to tilt and hold against the front cover 2 The guide device 15 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, comprises a recess 16 obtained on the rear cover 3 and a removable cover 17 which fits on said recess in a complementary manner. The recess 16 being oriented transversely to the axis of the rod has two guide channels 18 delimited, each in their transverse direction, by the wall of the cover 3 which constitutes shoulders 19 and by a central projection 20, each channel thus delimited giving passage to a strand of cable 9; moreover, two openings 21 are made in the central projection 20, pass through the wall of the cover 3 and cooperate with means of hooking 22 'of the cover 17 on the latter. This rider 24 is retractable by means of an operating notch 25. Furthermore, lateral bosses 26 produced on the rear cover 3 constitute the abutments for supporting the cover 17 on the latter.

The shoe also includes an adjustable strap 30 for keeping the end 19 of the upper 1 closed, comprising means for retaining said rear cover 3.

The means for retaining the strap 30 on the rear cover 3 are arranged on an extension 17a directed upwards from the cover 17 covering the link guide device 9 to form a single cover 31, guide or rear retaining means for all closures.

The strap retaining means 30 are constituted by a pass-through 32, formed on the one hand, by a transverse internal recess 33 and, on the other hand, by the upper part 3a of the rear cover 3 on which the end bears. 31a of the single cover 31.

The transverse recess 33 forming the loop 32, comprises means for immobilizing in translation the strap 30 after positioning of the latter.

These immobilization means consist of a cylindrical pin 34, projecting from the bottom of the recess 33 of the single cover 31 and is of dimensions making it suitable for passing through one of the cylindrical holes 35 of the strap 30 positioned in the loop. 32. These means are constituted by two hooks 37 directed upwards and whose internal vertical plane is at a distance from the bottom of the recess 33, at least equal to the thickness of the wall of the rear cover 3. In fact, these hooks 37 are intended to be engaged, in a movement from bottom to top in a slightly inclined manner, in corresponding nesting slots 38 of the rear cover 3 and to be retained therein; after a tilting movement of the cover 31 towards the cover 3, by resting on the internal wall of the latter, in a zone bordering on the openings 38.

The aforementioned tilting of the cover 31 causes the portion 17 of the single cover 31 to be pressed against the cover 3, hence the introduction of the pins 22 into the corresponding openings 21 of the tightening system 8 of the flexible link 9. It then suffices to engaging the rider 24 in the grooves 23, on the other side of the wall of the cover 3, to immobilize and ensure the final fixing of the single cover 31.

Advantageously, the single cover 31 is obtained simultaneously with the upper hooks 37, the pin 34 and the lower pins 22, during the same plastic molding operation.

Of course, the pin 34 can also be produced on the rear cover 3. In this case, the housing 36 will be produced, conversely on the internal wall of the cover 31.

The outer profile of the single cover 31 is adjusted substantially to that of the rear cover 3 which it ensures continuity.

Claims (8)

1. Rear-entry alpine ski boot, comprising a rigid shell of which a shell base (4) is topped by an upper (1) at least partially articulated on the latter, and itself being constituted by a rear part or rear cover (3) that can fold down toward a front part or front cover (2), a tightening system of closing mechanisms being constituted, first, by a tightening system (8) incorporating a flexible connector (9) which fastens said rear cover (3) in a closed position against the front cover (2) through the intermediary of a connector-guide device (15), which is constituted by a recess (16) on the rear cover of the upper, oriented in the direction in which the connector (9) runs and covered by corresponding removable cover (17) equipped with detachable attachment means (21, 22, 24) which cooperate with the wall of the rear cover (30) in its upper rear areas, characterized in that means for retaining an adjustable strap (30) which holds the end (1a) of the top of said upper (1) closed are arranged on an upward extension (17a) of the cover (17) which covers the connector-guide device so as to constitute a single cover (31) for the guide means (15) or rear position-maintenance means of the set of closing mechanisms.

Boot according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper part of the extension comprises an inner transverse recess (33) defining a loop (32) with a wall of the rear cover (3), on which rests an end (31a) of the single cover (31), so as to constitute the means for holding the strap (30) in position.
3. Boot according to claim 2, characterized in that the transverse recess (33) forming a loop (34) comprises means for immobilizing the strap (30) against translation after positioning.

Boot according to claim 3, characterized in that the means for immobilizing the strap (30) in position are constituted by at least one piece (34) projecting outward on the bottom of the recess (33) and whose dimensions make it suitable to pass through a hole (35) in the strap (30) positioned in the loop (32), the hole (35) being selected as a function of a predetermined adjustment to be effected.
5. Boot according to claim 4, characterized in that the piece (34) fits into a corresponding hole (36) in the rear cover (3) after having passed through one of the holes (35) in the strap (30).
6. Boot according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the single cover (31) comprises, in its area supporting an upper end (31a), detachable upper attachment means cooperating with the wall of the said rear cover (3).

Boot according to claim 6, characterized in that the upper attachment means of the cover are constituted by at least one hook (37) extending upward and capable of being engaged, using a downward motion, in a corresponding engagement slot (38) in said rear cover (3) and of being held there while being supported on its inner wall in an area adjacent to the slot (38), the final attachment of the single cover (31) being effected on its lower part, after the connector (9) has been positioned in its guide device (15).
8. Boot according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the single cover (31) is made of plastic material during a single molding operation.
