- Such valves generally include two check valves in series with a vent valve therebetween.
- Examples of such fittings are known in many ways and may e.g. DE-OS's 21 49 406, 24 24 978, 58 54 003 and 29 30 819 and US Pat. Nos. 2,389,412, 2 491 604, 2 503 424, 3 906 987, and 4,044,787 , Partly, these known fittings are designed so that an exchange of the valves can be made without the fitting must be removed from the lines. All of these valves have check valves which are arranged in the flow direction of the medium on a common axis. In addition, the known fittings are relatively complicated.

Further, a test port 92 is provided in the lid 70, at which the input pressure can be measured. Similarly, a channel 96 connects the water outlet 14 to a test port 98 in the lid 70, where the outlet pressure can be measured. Another unillustrated test port in the lid 70 allows the measurement of the pressure in a gap 100 between the rear of the check valve 34 and the front of the check valve 36. This space 100 is above recesses 102, 102 '(see Fig. 2) with an output intermediate chamber 104th connected by two partitions 106, 108 and a relief valve 110.
- the relief valve 110 is seated in a drain port 112 which extends concentrically down to the valve lifter 30.
- a drain port 112 In the drain port 112 is a Screwed valve seat body 114, the valve seat 116 cooperates with a arranged at the lower end of the valve stem 30 closing body 118. Finally, a drain funnel 120 is still screwed onto the drain port 112.
- both check valves 34 and 36 are closed and the vent valve 110 is opened, so that a return flow from the outlet to the inlet is not possible and the intermediate chamber 100, 104 therebetween through the vent valve 110 is vented or dehydrated.
