Durch diese Maßnahme soll erreicht werden, daß das Wärmgut entweder direkt verwalzt oder anderenfalls möglichst warm in den der Stranggießanlage nachgeschalteten Wärmofen einläuft. Hierdurch lassen sich die Energiekosten für die walzreife Erwärmung beträchtlich reduzieren. Moderne Wärmöfen müssen deshalb auf diesen kooperativen Erwärmungs- und zeitlich abgestimmten Betriebsablauf verfahrenstechnisch und konstruktiv zugeschnitten sein. Hierfür ist es erforderlich, in der Heizzone bzw. dem Wärmraum eine sehr hohe Raumtemperatur von mindestens 1000 bis 1300 °C aufrechtzuerhalten.In the steel industry, efforts are being made to make the operation of the continuous casting plants more economical and to coordinate them with the operation of the roller mills. Hierdurch wird erreicht, daß sich der die Wärmgutstücke durch den Ofenraum transportierende Rollgang grundsätzlich mit allen wesentlichen Teilen, die für dessen Temperaturstandfestigkeit verantwortlich sind, außerhalb des heißen Ofenraums in einem kühlen Bereich befindet. Nur die Ofenrollen ragen hierbei lediglich mit ihren Laufflächen in diesen heißen Ofenraum, und zwar mit einem derart geringen Rollenabschnitt, daß sie nur wenig Wärme aufnehmen können, die wiederum weitgehend außerhalb, also im Unterofenraum, abgeführt wird. Dies führt folglich ohne besondere Kühlmaßnahmen und ohne besondere Energiekosten zu einer ausreichenden Temperaturstandfestigkeit des Rollgangs und mithin zu einem wirtschaftlicheren Ofenbetrieb als bei den bekannten Rollenherdöfen mit dem üblichen Wasserkühlsystem. Indem die Ofenrollen aus dieser Lage absenkbar gelagert sind, wird erreicht, daß bei Ofenstillstand, z.B. bei einer Störung im nachgeschalteten Walzwerk, die Ofenrollen gänzlich aus dem heißen Ofenraum abgesenkt und das Wärmgut auf dem Herdboden aufgelegt sein können. Um ferner die Bildung der sogenannten Pickel durch angehäuftes Anhaften von abgeplatzten Zunderteilchen weitgehend zu vermeiden, sind nach einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung den Ofenrollen unterhalb des Herdbodens jeweils eine deren Laufflächen angreifende Reinigungsvorrichtung zugeordnet. Hierfür kann beispielsweise jeweils an den Rollenlagern ein messerartiges Stahlband derart federnd befestigt sein, daß unterhalb des Herdbodens die Lauffläche der Ofenrolle ständig an der Messerkante des Stahlbands vorbeistreicht. Diese Rollen 17 sind radförmig aus Metall mit einer kreiszylindrischen Umfangsfläche und darauf mit einer ringförmigen Ummantelung 18 aus hitzebeständigem Material ausgebildet. Die kreiszylindrische Außenfläche dieser Ummantelung 18 bildet die Lauffläche 19 für den Transport des Wärmguts 20. Diese Ummantelung 18 ist ein aus Segmenten zusammengesetzter Ring, auf dessen Lauffläche 19 als Wärmgut 20 im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel Dünnbrammen durch den Ofenraum transportiert werden. Die Segmente der ringförmigen Ummantelung 18 können aus hitzebeständigem Stahl oder aus einem nichtmetallischen Material wie aus feuerfester Keramik hergestellt sein und sind unter Zwischenlage einer dünnen feuerfesten Keramikfasermatte auf die radförmigen Metallrollen 17 befestigt. Wie aus den Zeichnungen hervorgeht, ragen die Ofenrollen 17 in der Transportstellung nur mit einem kleinen Abschnitt ihrer ringförmigen Ummantelung 18 und ihrer Lauffläche 19 in den heißen Oberofenraum 11. Die metallischen Rollen- und Lagerteile verbleiben unterhalb des Herdboden-Niveaus N innerhalb des Unterofenraumes 12 und mit ihren Rollachsen 21 im Fundamentraum F.The
Aus dieser oberen Transportstellung sind die Ofenrollen 17 absenkbar. Hierfür sind deren Achsen 21 in Lagerköpfen eines an sich bekannten Hubwerkes 22 gelagert und gemeinsam vertikal beweglich. Damit können die Ofenrollen 17 im Falle einer Störung im Betriebsablauf aus der dargestellten Lage in eine untere Lage abgesenkt werden, in der sich die Rollen 17 gänzlich unterhalb des Herdboden-Niveaus N befinden. Hierbei ist das Wärmgut 20 bis zur Wiederinbetriebnahme auf dem Herdboden 13 abgelegt.The
Unterhalb des Herdbodens 13 sind den Ofenrollen 17 ferner Reinigungsvorrichtungen 23 zugeordnet, um die Laufflächen 19 von erhabenen Zunder-Anbackungen zu befreien. Jede der Reinigungsvorrichtungen 23 enthält ein Gestell mit einem federnd gelagerten messerartigen Stahlband 24, an dem die Lauffläche 19 der Ofenrollen 17 ständig vorbeistreicht. In Umlaufrichtung ist dahinter eine Bürste 25 befestigt, an der die Lauffläche 19 entlanggleitet. Mit Hilfe dieser Bürste 25 wird die Lauffläche 19 endgereinigt und mit einer dünnen Schicht eines Quarzpulvers oder eines anderen geeigneten Pulvers versehen, mit dem die Zunder-Anbackungen weitgehend vermieden werden können.Below the
