Abstract
Description
Rotary lock cylinders of this type are generally known and have proven themselves and have found widespread use. A break-in method has now become known in which a self-tapping and hardened steel screw with a diameter of approximately 4 mm and with a hexagon head is screwed into the cylinder core of such a rotary lock cylinder. With a pulling device, for example according to DE-OS 3 711 938, the screwed-in screw is pulled out of the cylinder housing together with the cylinder core and the now exposed driver is rotated with a screwdriver and the lock is thus opened. To prevent this break-in method, claws can be attached to the inner end of the cylinder core and the cylinder core can be coupled to the driver. However, it has been shown that as a result the extraordinarily high tensile force of the puller, such a cylinder core can be easily pulled out of the cylinder housing. It is much more effective to provide the cylinder core with a radially projecting shoulder at one end in a rotary lock cylinder made up of assembled cylinder parts and to insert this from behind into the housing opening. However, this is not possible with a double lock cylinder with a one-piece cylinder housing, since the cylinder core can only be inserted from the front.
The invention has for its object to provide a rotary lock cylinder of the type mentioned, in which the burglary method mentioned is ineffective and which is still functional and can be produced inexpensively. The object is achieved by the invention according to
If the rotary lock cylinder has several rows of tumblers, as is usually the case with rotary lock cylinders for flat keys, the pins extend in the longitudinal direction of the cylinder core, two or four pins being provided, depending on the arrangement of the tumbler rows. In a rotary lock cylinder for a so-called serrated key, the pins are preferably inserted into the cylinder core in such a way that they run perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the cylinder core and parallel to the tumbler pins. Several pairs of pins are preferably arranged at a distance from one another. If the distances between the pairs of pins are different, the security is increased that when the screw is screwed in, its threaded part is sheared off by the pins. If there are only two pins, there is a risk that they will not damage the threaded part of the screw, but on the contrary give the screw additional hold. Of course, an attempted break-in also fails if the Screw is partially screwed into the housing while avoiding contact with the pins.
The development according to

- 2 is a view of a cylinder core according to a variant,
- 3 shows a section through the cylinder core along the line III-III in FIG. 2,
- Fig. 4 is a partial section through a double cylinder, and
- 5 shows a partial section along the line VV in FIG. 4.
The rotary lock cylinder shown in Fig. 1 is a double cylinder with two
The
Depending on the number and arrangement of the tumbler rows, two
If, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the rotor has only one tumbler row in a
In the
The above information thus results in rotary lock cylinders which, despite the considerably higher locking security, are only marginally more expensive than the conventional rotary lock cylinders, so that rotary lock cylinders according to the invention were created which not only take account of the safety requirements in an outstanding manner, but are also inexpensive due to their simple design and are reliable.
As is easily understood, details can be modified in different ways in adaptations to other cylinder types. In particular, the diameter of the
